Comfortable, spacious, clean, well-staffed, price was right. We needed to have a late lunch when we arrived and the friendly and efficient desk clerk suggested we check out their sports bar. Sports bar was perfect for our needs, convenient, moderately priced and good food. The menu included many vegetarian items and quite a few tex-mex. I chose chicken quesadillas, a good choice. We drove up to Albany from NYC. Check in was a breeze. Parking was a breeze. Finding the entrance for parking was a little challenging but we managed to figure it out. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. The price was a bit higher than I would like to have paid but the prices fluctuate with demand I suppose. Overall, it was a good stay with a comfortable nights sleep.

Accessing Albany Medical Center for my business trip was helped by the location of this clean and efficient Hilton. The staff helped me to access a bike path on the Hudson. It was a great stay all around, complete with cookies in the lobby for weary (or even not so weary) travelers.

Was in town for cross fit regionals, called and made a reservation for one of the last rooms left. I asked for a few extras also. The reservations were made by Hilton corporate and they forgot to put my requests in with my reservation when I got there the extras were not available. The operations manager took care of everything and made the stay better than I could have hoped. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Albany. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly.

Staff is young but very friendly and professional. Room and bathroom was extremely clean. The only drawback was that there was no onsite restaurant/bar in the hotel, which also meant no room service. However, there was a sports bar located downstairs, and they will deliver to the room in a Styrofoam container.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is surrounded by great places to grab a bite. For dinner, we grabbed a bite at the bar downstairs and the food was excellent. The room is very modern but our refrigerator and phone did not work. It wasn't a huge deal but if you rely on the amenities, a new room or service shouldn't be a problem. Great staff as well!

Nice Hotel, but disappointed with the price and breakfast options. There is no continental breakfast. There is a charge of ($10.29 (?) a person for breakfast - seems expensive and for the price we paid, it would be nice to have an option of having free continental breakfast or the over $10 breakfast.

The hotel itself was very nice in that the accommodations were clean and new. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I did not care for the indoor pool or workout area. Given further thought I would've chosen another location that had an outdoor pool. The location was great if you needed to be at the hospital. This hotel had excellent beds - learned they had been updated recently and that made for a good night's sleep. The rooms are ordinary in their decor, but given the most important part of a trip is sleeping quality, I would stay here again. I'm in a Doctoral program at Sage and need to stay in Albany at least once per month. Not only Is the Hilton Garden Inn close to the school it is Clean, Neat, and the staff is extremely friendly! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that has to come to the Albany, NY area. Also, the hotel has a sports bar in the basement that has very good food and a relaxing atmosphere. We tend to go there after class to unwind.

Scheduled a four day training in Albany- The decision was Turman to stay and train at this hotel. The food was adequate nothing fancy sandwiches for lunch, yogurt and granola for breakfast but no one starved! The breakout rooms they utilize larger sweets, not typical but we made it work so if you're willing to be able to think outside the box their space will work for you.

This hotel has a walkway to Albany medical center and is clean and very comfortable. Their suits are great for extended stays. We had to stay for a full month in January, and I was able to cook and sew in the suite.

We spent just one night here as the train timetables did not enable us to go straight through to our next destination. It has the disadvantage of suffering comparison to some really good places we stayed on our trip. However, for what we needed it was more than adequate. It is after all part of a chain and what I would expect for the type of hotel it is. The room was clean and comfortable, check in was efficient and staff were friendly. we had a good night's sleep and did not suffer any noise... Read more

I attended this site for a business conference and found the customer service, particularly by the general manager -Nick Boulas, to be extremely poor and unsatisfactory. Hilton Garden Inn offers shuttle service to the Amtrak station. I requested shuttle service when I was checking in for my departure date and provided my train schedule. The front desk staff scheduled the pick up time 30 minutes prior to my train departure. I expressed concern about the time being so close to the train departur... Read more

H-Honors program offers check-in and room selection on line, which worked well. After reading a TripAdvisor review about ambulance noise problems, I chose a 7th floor room facing away from the hospital. We had no noise problem at all, and a very nice room - clean, spacious, and bed was comfortable. The hotelā??s small exercise room was OK, buffet breakfast (pay for) was very good, and there was easy parking on the separate hotel parking area. Stayed just the one night but no problems, so had lit... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times & have always been greatly satisfied. They recently did a major room renovation which turned out very well. The breakfast buffet offers choices for everyone. Parking is always tight in their lot.

I stayed here with my consultant team over the course of 6 weeks in Oct/Nov. This is a very nice HGI. The hotel is in a good location right across the street from the Albany Medical Center. The building contains a Starbucks, Key Bank, and a sports bar on the main (ground) level. Registration is located on the second floor. The staff is very accommodating. In particular is the breakfast team. They were always pleasant and quick to provide you with anything you needed to start your day. What is di... Read more

I'm a Hilton Honors Member and had just stayed the night before at another Garden Inn in Vermont which is exceptional. Albany is not a bad property it just seems to not be managed all that well. A lot of young people working the desk with no supervision. The Lobby is attractive but on arrival no cookies as we are used to at other Garden Properties. There are key readers in the elevator but one of them was taped over and not functioning so anyone could walk in from the street and ride up to an... Read more

The hotel was recently renovated and looks even nicer than before. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. It's a nice place to stay if you're doing business in the area. It has a large open restaurant and martini bar off the lobby. There is also a Starbucks on the first floor as well as an additional large sports bar.

Breakfast in the restaurant is great and dinner in the Recovery Room is delicious. The Thursday night entertainment at the Recovery Room is interative and entertaining.
