This proprietor went to great lengths to help me get my kindle back that I left in the room. The room was very nice - large. Pretty lobby. The price was excellent. A good highway stopping place for the night!

This hotel has everything you need for a low price. Comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave, free wifi. Rooms are very clean. My daughter goes to college nearby. I stay here whenever I visit her and I have never been disappointed. This hotel is also pet friendly.

This was the sixth time I have stayed at this EconoLodge in Colonie, NY. There are 5 other motels in the immediate vicinity, but this EconoLodge is my favorite. The sheets and towels were immaculate and soft. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet looked brand new and was clean. The continental breakfast was adequate and appreciated. I requested a room that had not accommodated pets and the manager/owner was happy to oblige. The public transit bus stop was located in front of the motel parking... Read more

We were looking for a reasonably priced room for an overnight stay, and were not disappointed here. The lobby was nice, not luxurious, and the room was clean and adequate. It was nice to have the continental breakfast included intheroomprice. It should be noted that the motel is not right by the Colonie Mall, but several blocks away.

I stayed at this lodge from May 14th to the 15th. On the day of my reservation, I contacted the lodge in the morning to request freshly washed bedspreads because of my allergies and I was informed that it would be no problem. When I checked in, I was pleasantly surprised to see what appeared to be brand new bedspreads on both beds. The room was immaculate and very clean. Since I stayed on the first level, I parked my car in a spot directly outside my door, which was very convenient. In the morn... Read more

I stayed almost two weeks here and must say it's a great value hotel. Well located. Well run. Bob the manager is a great guy that goes to great lengths to accommodate guests. The continental breakfast is basic but consistent. The cleaning crew are always on top of things. I think this hotel is a great value.

Used this motel for a night's stay after arriving late at the airport that is 10 minutes drive away. Appreciated the beautifully white, clean, crisp sheets and the included basic cereal/juice/muffin breakfast. Manager was pleasant. Negatives were that the security lights lining the walkways outside the rooms were so bright and i could not get the curtain closed w/o a gap, so i could not get the room dark. I was so tired, it didnt matter anyway. One chair was really dirty, which was out of charac... Read more

Had a great 1 night stay here recently a few days ago. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was immaculate. I check everything out on arrival always at hotels and this was about perfect. Pillow cases had some deep stains but found perfect clean ones of the pillows on both beds. Bathroom, tub, toilet, sink, bed linen, towels were all perfect and not stained. Comfortable bed. I wish they would install digital thermastats so the AC shuts off when its cool enough. Conveniently located on the main s... Read more

This appears to be an older motel which has been completely modernized and transformed very recently. Everything was clean and new, comfortable and functional. I try not to be too effusive in these reviews, because nothing is perfect. But this is pretty close, considering price and location. Motels are motor hotels, where you can drive to and park ar your door, rather than a hotel, where you walk through a common room or hall to get to your room. Very convenient to go back and forth to your ... Read more

Stayed two nights as we liked the area's facilities, helpful front desk staff, rooms have everything you need for a short stay, surprisingly quite considering location and handy for nearby shopping malls and some good restos. Breakfast is continental and adequate. Wi-Fi was erratic.

We booked this motel for 2 nights in May for a family wedding. Room was clean, 2 double beds and had everything we needed except for a safe box. Good free WIFI. The sink is outside the bathroom. Breakfast was poor. Good value for the inexpensive rate. Nearby there are a few restaurants.

The facility is old and tired. The lock on our door was partially broken, paint peeling off the window sill, the curtains were very shabby, and the room had a stale musty smell. Despite that, the room was clean, and the Internet worked well. Breakfast was very limited. Good value as it was inexpensive compared to other area hotels.

This place was scary.. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. The amount of people going in and out was unreal. They did except dogs but placed us next to their utility closet room and the stairs for the second floor.. Noise all night. I took the dogs for a morning walk along the hotel fence and came upon the dumpsters. When I first approached I thought I saw what was birds eating food from the hotel employees. As I got closer I realized they were tons of RATS eating food! They didn't even run when I... Read more

Not a bad stay for the money by any means, but also don't expect too much. Rooms are acceptable, but a bit dated. Looks like it gets painted a lot to keep it looking decent. Also, keep an eye on the door lock; mine looked like it had been kicked in once or twice, I had to screw with it a little to get the bolt to slide. Continental breakfast isn't bad, but very basic; two kinds of cereal, bread, bagels, muffins, juice, that sort of thing. No fruit, and your generic motel coffee. WiFi works, bu... Read more

I was looking for somewhere to stay for under$100 a night and my search brought me to this place. Clean rooms, choice of smoking or non smoking rooms, alot of channels on the television and close to the airport, shops and restaurants. I only have one complaint and that is the stairwell isn't very well lit but other than that it was a good stay.

The rooms were clean and recently updated. It was very quiet except for a couple of random sirens from the fire station on the opposite side of the road. Staff were friendly. The only issue I had, was I requested a room with a refrigerator. Upon checking in, i was informed that because of the room i had booked (at a discounted rate), i could not have a room with a fridge. I was disappointed that i was not contacted and informed of this before the arrival.

Stayed here one night and glad for it. Rooms are pretty worn out. AC didn't work properly. Did not cool well. It was the cheapest, so we got what we paid for. But will not stay again unless they do some renovations. It was relatively quite. Breakfast is what you would expect in a lower price place.

Hotel was old and cleaning is not sufficient. Room and sheets are smell bad. To be good for guest, carpets need change or at least wash. The hotel rank is economy price ward but not livable. I stayed at Econo Lodge hotel in Corning NY for the same price, it was too different by this one.

This is a very convenient location for visiting Albany. It takes about 15 minutes to down town Albany, where you can visit the Empire State Plaza, the museum, the egg, the Lark Street and the Palace Theatre. For shopping, it only takes 5 minutes. This hotel is clean and comfortable, worth every penny.

I have been staying at the Econolodge in Colonie for work. Not only do they consistently beat the prices everywhere else the staff go above and beyond to be helpful, welcoming and friendly. I stay from Sunday to Friday weekly and I have yet to get a room that isn't clean and welcoming. When I request specific things like a lower level room they strive their hardest to meet my needs. You can't beat the prices and the continental breakfast is convenient too!

We stayed here a year ago, and returned again for 5 nights in late July. This was during horse-racing season in Saratoga, when most Albany-area motels jack up their rates, but Econo Lodge stayed reasonable. Nothing fancy and the rough-looking narrow parking lot might be off-putting to some, but our room met all the basics. Housekeeping skipped us one day, but delivered towels promptly when we called the front desk. Continental breakfast was sub-par. Restaurants, fast food and supermarkets are a... Read more

The owner of this place can go to hell. My husband called to see if there was a "coupon room" which there was, but when he showed up at 11pm, all of a sudden they were VERY BUSY. The owner was there and I guess he just could not bear to lose his 20 dollars. We did not stay there. Honor your coupons or don't print them.

We just needed a place to sleep the night before an early flight and didn't want to spend a fortune. The Econolodge was clean and affordable. My husband and I, unfortunately, found our bed to be quite uncomfortable. Everything else seems to have been updated, but they need to spend a little more on the beds. We were located near a lighted stairwell and the airport could have landed planes with those lights. Blackout curtains are needed for the rooms nearest those lights.

Our bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. The room was clean and it was a easy check in. The hotel is on a busy street, but lots of places to eat close by. There is a mall about 8 minutes away. A little scary coming up the stairs at night, but there are cameras all around. There is a Continental breakfast in the morning to start the day. Easy to get off the highway and back on.

Cheap rate, but I guess that's what you get. Rooms were dirty. Girl that checked us in was just lounging around on the couch with a friend and seemed as though we were bothering her. Booked this for my annual Labor Day trip to Cooperstown and a Tri-City Valleycats game. 6,000 points and $15 for a room. Was pleasantly surprised, room was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Room did have a slight odor of stale cigarettes but figure it may have been a smoking room at one time. For the price and proximity to where I had to go this was a good choice. Would stay here again.
