This hotel is kind of south of town, on the outskirts of activity. The downtown area is about 3 miles north, and the ski resort beyond that. This could be a plus or minus to you, depending. Still, there's really only one main road running through town, and you're on it. The rooms themselves were a bit run down, but fine. The breakfast and common areas were nice, and many skiers seem to stay here and commute to the local resorts. The staff was friendly and local, but not super informed abou... Read more

Very clean facility with comfortable rooms. Nice pool and hot tub. Fitness center, and other amenities. Excellent full, hot breakfast, with a broad selection. I have stayed at the Taos Hampton Inn several times and have found it consistently satisfying with wonderful staff ready to assist.

First time to Taos. Room is clean and quiet. Bathroom is clean but i think the lighting could be abit more "warm." Breakfast is excellent. I would say this, hampton brand you can't go wrong with but if you're coming down to the southwest, why not try something of a pueblo style like building. I wish that this building was build accordingly; in fact some Hilton brand hotels in the near by area do respect this type of pueblo culture when it comes to construction.

First let me say I am a Hilton Honors Gold member (ended the year just shy of their Diamond Elite level) and typically stay at Hampton Inns because they are fairly predictable and a good value for the money. I am giving this stay 5 stars but only because of the staff and how they handled a very difficult situation during one of their busiest times of the year. The hotel is very clean, modern and beds are comfortable. We ended up coming in a day early and I called about 5 hours away and spoke ... Read more

Poor customer service. I will never be back and i will tell all consumers not to rent this hotel. No hot water, was told to wait and wait and wait, ended up wasting 3 hours waiting for hot water and never got hot water. Was told by the front desk to check out since i was dissatisfied.

The hotel lists a hot tube and indoor pool. This is true, except YOU NEED TO GO OUTSIDE to get to it!!! So, if you are staying here in the winter and plan on using the pool/hot tub (which were delightful), plan accordingly.

We chose the Hampton over some other quaint, southwest-adobe style hotels because of 1) Cost 2) Free Breakfast 3) While reviews of other hotels used words such as 'quaint' and 'authentic', they also mentioned "could use updating' or 'could have been cleaner'. We were happy with our choice even though it wasn't near the square.

I liked the welcome reception. There was tea and coffee plus chips and salsa. My room was big and comfortable. I love the bed. The hotel has a pool and hot tub. The breakfasts is awesome. They have locally made tamales. The staff and friendly and attentive. I travel for government business and the hotel does not offer government rate, at least it does not have the rate available often. That is too bad because I like the hotel.

Hampton Inns can be hit or miss (I don't think they are consistent enough). This one is a hit. It is modern, very clean. Comfortable beds. Nice lobby and breakfast area. Power problems when we arrived; we went to dinner and problem was solved when we returned.
