This hotel is only a short walk to all the major old town things to see and do, and it's a better value than some of the other options nearby. It's also far enough away from the attractions that you retain some of the privacy you might want in a hotel. I preferred staying here over the nearby convention hotel for that reason.

Our stay was excellent in some ways and mediocre in others. We found this Hilton uneven. Staff is fantastic; really, every staff we dealt with was terrific ‚?? from check-in through to the bar and the doorman. Things that were mediocre and could/should be improved to match our expectations of a Hilton: Towel racks; it‚??s unbelievable to have 1 hook for towels ‚?? really no place but the shower door to hang the hand towel. Pillows: those are the worst pillows in years. We asked for ‚??firm‚??... Read more

Although the Hilton is conviently located to the famous Santa Fe Plaza, they charge $20.00 per night to park your car! They advertise an attractive room rate to compete with other hotels then add this surcharge. Room we were assigned had not been cleaned when we were presented our key cards. Had to move to the other side of the building, furthest away from all the services, pool, resturant, bar etc. Positive we will not return to this hotel and pay extra for parking. The Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza is where we choose each time we visit Santa Fe. Why? We feel at home as soon as we enter; the staff is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the square; it's convenient but at the same time, quiet. The Hilton Santa Fe has done some excellent updates to the facility which are great. It will be our choice when we return.

The hotel staff was friendly. The rooms were nice except that the way they designed the sliding door to the restroom leaves a 1-2" gap so the bathroom door is never really closed. The parking is $20 per night, which I did not know about until pulling into their parking lot.

This is a very nice property, and in a perfect location to visit the plaza in Santa Fe. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff were friendly. I could easily walk everywhere I wanted/needed to go. Cons: the restaurant food is ok, not great. You should eat elsewhere. The pool area, with a decent size pool, jacuzzi and fireplace, is great for children and adults. And our absolute favorite is location, location, location! Walking distance from shops, restaurants, museums, churches, etc. Lacking some basic comforts that would have made it much nicer like an ice machine down the hall. Stayed in this hotel as was in town for a conference at the convention center. True to the Hilton brand, it is a nice hotel - clean and convenient. Rooms are large - with decent sized bathroom and closet. Complimentary robes. Parking is a bit cumbersome - the parking lot surrounds the property on 2 or 3 sides, but there is no easy way to get your suitcases in to the hotel except through the front doors, because all of other entrances have stairs, and it was very hard getting my large suitcas... This was a fantastic hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor is set to its namesake of an historic building. Don't worry, it's all new and updated. I loved it! I felt immersed in the southwest culture. It's a smaller hotel that is pretty nondescript, there isn't even a sign out front of the name of the hotel, only a small Hilton sign. I enjoyed walking out the front door, crossing the street and being in the middle of historic downtown. It's easy to walk to everything. I ate a... Read more

We stayed here four nights while on vacation in New Mexico. The location is great, two block to the town plaza. But, the hotel is overall just sort of average. It's not bad, but nothing to score more. The room was fine, but the hallways were noisy with banging service doors, loud people in the hall (not the hotel's fault I know), loud AC and plumbing systems; we didn't sleep all that well. The restaurant closes at 10am, which I thought was a tad early for a hotel in a tourist area. The staff was... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for four nights during a business trip. The location of the hotel is perfect. You can walk anywhere in old Sante Fe from here. We stayed in a casita which was very nice and roomy. One downside was the bedroom and bathroom windows were adjacent to the sidewalk on the public side of the hotel. We had to keep the shutters closed for privacy which made the rooms dark. It was also noisy until quite late. The fireplace in the living room did not work, the one in the bedroo... Read more

We have always enjoyed staying at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. My husband I have visited Santa Fe many many times since the 1990s. This hotel was among our favorites in the area. This time was different. We did not feel as if we were at a Hilton. When we first arrived, we asked if we could see the room that we put aside for us. The person at the front desk rolled her eyes numerous times, and acted really ticked off that we wanted to see the room first. WE always ask to see ... Read more

Absolutely loved the shower in the king rooms. Nice to not have to climb over a tub wall. Rooms were clean, staff pleasant, beds very comfortable. Will opt for the Executive Lounge breakfast burrito next time. Coffee, fruit, pastries all available there also. Nice exec lounge. Hotel could use a bit more signage directing to the restaurant/bar, elevators - but we did find them. Will definitely go back.

This is a full service Hilton. The "new" CP Express service is laughable and a disappointment. I should not eating out of plastic containers with silver colored flatware.
