Once you see the location (one block from the Plaza) and have eaten at their On-premises restaurant (The Santa Fe Bite) the thrill may be over. Itâ??s a two story motel type facility without an elevator. All rooms open to a covered walkway facing the parking lot. The 1st floor walkway is shielded from the parking lot by shrubbery along a wrought iron railing. You can park your vehicle opposite your room on the other side of the railing and shrubs. The parking lot is spacious since they offe... Read more

Location is very good. My room was large, clean, and well-maintained. Motel is old and can't be compared to newer built ones in terms of room adornments and amenities. (For example, tv is old, not flat screened) I really liked it but I'm sure there are those who won't, especially if they're not well-traveled around the world, and used to 3 star rooms. It was my kind of place.

Nothing has changed in a year, and you still have to pay to park which is ridiculous! Moderate, though not inexpensive, but really great location, and easy in and out. Badly in need of updating and amenities, but we continue to book because of walking distance and in hopes that renovations will happen sometime. Wish they'd renovate like the retro-fit ACE chain in NYC, SF and Palm Springs.

This hotel is located in the perfect location with an easy short walk right into the heart of Santa Fe. Our room was large, with a quiet air conditioner and plenty of parking. It was rather expensive, you pay for it's location, and no breakfast was included in the price. Luckily, there are a few of lovely coffee shops nearby within a short walk. Would stay there again.

Room was motel quality, with old tv, minimal furnishings, and ok bed. Location was the best part of the stay--easy walking distance to Plaza, Cathedral and central Santa Fe sights. Guess you get what you pay for--price was reasonable.

This is a dated, run down, unpleasant place that its good location doesn't redeem. In fact, its existence brings down the immediate surroundings. Go for The Sage Inn, a much nicer pace that doesn't charge you to park, or splurge and stay at La Fonda or the Inn at Loretto.

Everything about our experience was mediocre, with a little rudeness thrown in to finish it off. We were charged $8 per day to park in a MOTEL (NOT advertised), the pool stood covered up and unused, the rooms were shabby and smelled of cleaner mixed with dirty old carpets, and old old beds. For all this, we were charged a price we could have paid for far better quality. The location can't be beat, so I hope they get their act together and fix up the place. Our stay there 4 years ago was far ... Read more

I stayed here for three nights at the end of April with a group and we got a great group rate. The room had a queen bed and was adequate with a microwave and refrigerator. I had to plug in the refrigerator when I arrived. The refrigerator was so noisy I would turn it off at night and then plug it in each morning. I didnâ??t particularly like the bathroom window because it was only frosted with no covering and adjacent to the sink that I felt did not provide much privacy from outside. I hung a... Read more

This is an older hotel that was updated some time back. It's seriously in need of another remodel. The beds are sub par. The cement in front of the rooms is flaking apart. There is no elevator for upstairs rooms. There is no breakfast. But to top it all off, there is a large parking lot that was half empty all the time we were there, and we had to pay $8 a day, per car to park. It's not like we are in a big city and paying for parking in the parking garage. I just don't think that was appropriat... Read more

This jewel in Santa Fe could easily be your home for a week. We loved the beds. The mattresses were very comfortable. The pool is exactly what you imagine and not heated. We enjoyed the location! Easy walks to the Plaza and great restaurants. Spend your money doing other things in Santa Fe, not on an overpriced room. This is a great answer!

Really good deal for downtown santa fe.Super nice staff,,really helpful..Within walking distance to anywhere downtown..Had great time at the pool.Dont remember her name, but blond girl working front desk went out of her way to help us figure out where to eat and visit. Definitely staying there again. As far as the parking fee everyone gripes about,,we didn't have a problem at all,,

Ok, the positives. Well located. 2 blocks from the Plaza. Also, very reasonable cost. Rooms were clean, but outdated. Carpets seemed pretty dirty and beds need replacing, but otherwise it is quite clean and well maintained. I think with some small upgrades, this place would be a real gem.

W loved our stay here. It is old and quaint, it is very reasonable and two blocks from the Plaza. Beds were wonderful, bath and room very clear. We had a lovely maid. She gave us ideas of places to visit. They charge for Parking, but cheaper than the parking meters.
