I always heard that the Doubletree was one of the nicer hotels, so we decided to try this one on a recent trip. Frankly, the Hamptons that we stayed at were WAY better, and gave you free breakfast. Our room was clean and the the shower was decent, and the AC worked. Those are all good things, but I could have gotten that at a less expensive hotel. The famous cookies were quite tasty. The elevator was creaky and slow, and the hallways were dark. We had to ask for shampoo, as our room only had... Read more

The only reason we moved from the Doubletree to the Hilton in the Historic District was to be able to walk to the sites. Doubletree is a better hotel and certainly a better price. The staff, particularly Tara (manager) were outstanding. A great little bar; the room, a small suite, was terrific -- good bed, pillows, a nice seating area - terrific. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at the DoubleTree in Santa Fe for my son's College graduation. Well worth the price. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The hotel was well within walking distance of the mall, and restaurants. And the complimenary cookies are AWESOME!!! They even gave us some for the road trip back home. I would highly recommend this hotel for future travelers.

We visit Santa Fe often and find ourselves always staying at the Double Tree. I am very fond of staying at Hilton properties as I always know what quality I will get and if I am not 100% satisfied they will take care of me. The Double Tree, while not in downtown Santa Fe, is very close to the mall and other great restaurants. Santa Fe is not a huge city and this hotel is a short drive to the downtown area where you would be paying three times as much for a hotel stay. The staff is always very... Read more

I had stayed at the Hilton in Santa Fe at Christmas and it was excellent but they were booked. So I ended up trying the Doubletree chains which I like very much. The hotel was excellent! We dropped in to check on a room for a couple of nights and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful and friendly. He obliged us with a room, water and fresh baked cookies. Our room was clean, comfortable and best of all, we could walk out our sliding glass door to our car. The hotel is away from the downtown hustle and noise and located next to a shopping mall and restaurants. It was very convenient for us. Wifi is free if you are a Hilton Rewards Member, which we are.

The DoubleTree was conveniently located. We were close to the plaza and right off of a main street. There were shops and restaurants within walking distance if you want to leave the hotel, but it had a nice lounge and restaurant so after a busy day we didn't have to get out and drive anywhere for dinner. The meal was excellent and the service was outstanding. This is a great place to stay in Santa Fe, whether alone or with family.

This stay exceeded my expections. The staff went above and beyond to make things right. We got off to a rocky start, but the hotel desk clerk gave us coupons for breakfast for two days. I was impressed that the hotel management gave the staff permission to make that call and do what was necessary to turn a bad impression around. The rooms were OK, the staff was not very helpful, especially the late night room service, they were actually rude. But nothing justifies the price. The hotels near downtown Santa Fe are less expensive! I though the higher price meant that this hotel would be nicer, but no. The only down side is the construction on the road leading into town. Once it is finished, it will be great.

This is a really nice hotel in a convenient area. If you're a HH member they greet you with 2 cold bottles of water and warm cookies. Our room was great, just 2 minor issues- we had only 2 rolls of TP that were less than 1/4 full each and no tissue in the box. We also only had 2 bath towels which most hotels provide 4. So the next morning I had to grab some off the housekeeping cart down the hall. When I grabbed a TP roll all the ones on the cart were almost empty so hence the main issue. Other... Read more

The small size of the rooms cannot possibly conform to the barest standards of the Doubletree brand. Converting this Holiday Inn into a Doubletree property was a disservice to Hilton Honors members, and this was verified by our talks with a Diamond level customer!!!

hotel was very nice. rooms are clean and having a balcony is nice even though there is not much to look at in this area. The breakfast staff remembers me even though i do not come but one a month with sometimes several weeks in between visits. They are very helpful and get me anything i need quickly. Don't stay in the rooms on the very ends of the building or you wont get internet at your desk. Particularly trouble with my tablet in those rooms.

Nice hotel with great staff. located about 5 miles or 20 minutes from the Plaza. Staff are extremely friendly, professional, and courteous. They are familiar with the area and offer recommendations on things to do a see. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This is an adequate hotel, clean with great service. Not close to the Plaza but they do offer complimentary transport to the downtown area. We were here for a business meeting and the staff were on top of their game, despite 100% occupancy. The service here is what definitely makes the difference.

Will definitely return to this hotel for another trip. Great staff made for a pleasant stay. Restaurant was understaffed, but the waiter was excellent. Loved Linda at the front desk. It's nice to stay where people like their jobs.

I was in Santa Fe on business and need a hotel for two nights. All of the hotels near the Plaza were too high to expense and I decided to stay at the DoubleTree based on past positive experiences at other Doubletree hotels and the Hilton brand in general. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Service was excellent in the restaurant as well as at time of check in. The room was a junior suite that was well equipped with a comfortable desk to work on, free WiFi , comfortable bed, rec... Read more

Location is great! Surrounded by lots of shopping and dining options. Rooms are freshly renovated, comfortable. Being able to open the balcony and have fresh mountain air is a big plus. Beds were very comfortable. All of our group's requests were followed.

This DoubleTree is in the perfect location in Santa Fe, near shopping and restaurants, yet still far enough away from the downtown tourist area that you can "get away". The rooms are clean, the property as a whole is very well maintained. I would stay away from the little restaurant they have on premises. Wife and I tried to go there for a quick dinner one night, and could not get any help at all, finally went back to the room and had food delivered. Security is excellent at this location. I had... Horrible customer service. Loud location, and inconsiderate and unhelpful, dishonest staff. Worst Hilton ever, never again. We were treated as invisible or worse... even tho Hilton Honors members for many years.

As a Hilton Honors member, we were pleased to arrange a four night stay at the Doubletree by Hilton in Santa Fe. However, we were disappointed to be stuck in a room with two small twin beds, a view overlooking air-handling units and other equipment, given only two bottles of drinking water for the entire four night stay and no breakfast. I am sure we will receive the usual "we are so sorry" email from the hotel. Would not recommend.

We stayed here for two nights while doing Route 66. It was very basic but you get what you pay for we only payed $90 per night and it was very good value. The downside to it was it is 7 miles from the historic centre and it is on a main road into Santa Fe so you do get road noise if you get a room overlooking the road., I would suggest asking for one out the back away from the road. I would stay again if I wanted a cheap hotel in Santa Fe

My recent stay at the Double Tree Hotel in Santa Fe was very relaxing and pleasant. However, the surprise at the end was a nasty game changer. I received my receipt for my two day stay under my room door, exactly the amount I had expected. Left a happy camper. However, the amount deducted from my bank account was $30.00 more than the receipt. Was told that I was pre-charged for any amenities that I might have used. I used none and was told the next day that the money would be returned to m... Read more

Although it was a little bit far from downtown Santa Fe, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was peaceful and had various Nice restaurants near it. The personnel was courteous and eager to help. We enjoyed the bar at the hotel, and sitting in the balcony in the evenings. We will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in that area.

First of all, I love Santa Fe!!! I've been here many times for work and a few other times for pleasure. This trip, I brought my Mom for her 77th birthday and we stayed 3 nights here. The rooms were a little weird, I have to say. They reminded me of an old Holiday Inn with the way the bathroom vanity was set up. It's ok, it was clean, well, overall. Housekeeping came in to remop the floor when we arrived, per my request because it still had someone else's hair in it. Hmmm, anyways, the staf... Read more

The staff was great at this hotel and the interior quite fashionable and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. The only drawback to this hotel is the location. It doesn't sit very far off of a very busy road and traffic noises can be heard into the late evening hours. I was also traveling alone on business, came back to the hotel after dark and did not feel safe as I appeared to disrupt some kind of negative interaction in the parking lot next to the hotel. Room was clean & quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I felt the breakfast quality was poor with cremated bacon and no cold cuts. Whilst the staff are very friendly, perhaps the 'informality' is a little too much. I waited at an empty check in desk for a couple of minutes until the gentleman returned proudly announcing to everyone at the desk .... "sorry, that was an emergency, I just lost 10 pounds" !!! obviously making a restroom visit reference :O

It started out with warm, absolutely yummy, chocolate chip pecan cookies personally provided by a very friendly woman at check-in. Then it was followed by an extremely clean room with totally comfy beds. We then went downstairs to the bar and watched the World Series while eating very good, very big burgers. The property is nice and well kept, and beautiful in the inside. The staff was always courteous and helpful. We were able to check in on line, and even pick our own rooms before arriving so, this made our actual check in process quick and easy. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, had a refrigerator and microwave, desk and chair, and had no issues with the internet.
