Just a few days there, but it was a decent breakfast and good location. Away from the bustling downtown Los Alamos all-night party central, but still on the hill. Neat view out the back of the hotel. Next to the airport, but only heard one plane in late evening, then ghostly silence.

Hotel is clean, close to the city (you can take a free bus to go to Los Alamos). People at the reception desk are really nice and will help you if they can. Eco food store super close like 5 min by foot. Food - I think the worse I've ever had at the hotel. Everyday had the same problem, what to eat to actually want to eat it. So if you have a chance to get your own food for breakfast -I recommend you to do it.

Very nice Hotel with large clean rooms. The hotel backs up to the airport which is lightly used. The rooms are very quite. The breakfast was better than the average hotel. Good in room coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator. Coyotes in the parking lot, watch your small dogs.

We stayed for four days. Found the desk to be very helpful. Rooms were clean and well kept. Room and breakfast coffee was great. I enjoyed my stay. There is a great fitness room and pool. A great addition to an inexpensive hotel. Breakfast was actually pretty good yes the same each day but why wouldn't it be. Thank you for a great stay. I will be back!!

This is a very nice property, it is near the airport but very quite. One important item! If cell phone service is important to you and If you have any provider but verizon you may want to check for service before checkinh in. I have ATT and the phone was useless. I know this is not the hotel's faul,t but an important fact if you are doing business involving your cell phone. The hotel is well kept and clean, breakfast had variety and room to eat. Front desk people helpful and understanding. I wo... Read more

Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Terrific breakfast included (one morning the fridge was set too cold and all the milk was frozen). Small but useful workout room, good pool. Very quiet at night. Windows can open, which was great - but only a couple of inches, for safety. Climate control fan was loud but they always seem to be so. Any time we needed hotel staff they were very responsive. Business center and small store (we used neither) on site. "Rainfall" shower head was hard to a... Read more

Management changed our room type without our knowledge (so 4 of us would be in a king bed). When I called the hotel directly, they were rude and uncaring. Called corporate who took care of me very well and got me back in the room I originally reserved. When we arrived we checked in to find our room was being cleaned and the staff members were having a heated inappropriate conversation. It took almost an hour for them to finish the room. The room was FILTHY dirty (we cleaned it ourselves - sticky... Read more

This HIE is newer and very nice. We loved the pool and hot tub, and the breakfast is good. This hotel allows pets, which is nice. My only gripe is the staff, who are mostly uncaring, but friendly in peson. If you need anything, be prepared to wait. Los Alamos could use another hotel, as they all fill up during the week.

We stayed at the Los Alamos Holiday Inn Express during a business meeting at the Labs. This is your typical Holiday In Express which includes a complimentary breakfast. You will need a vehicle to get to any meeting location or restaurant in LA as it is quite a distance from town; past the airport in fact. I did find a nearby Coop grocery within a 5 minute walk where you can purchase fresh fruit, snacks and beverages. There is also an adjacent hiking trail but it was too hot to enjoy during my ... They had a full house the night I was there, lots of people everywhere. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the guy at the front desk seemed to take care of the crowd in stride. The breakfast was typical for this type of lodging. I didn't see any restaurants nearby so that may be an issue for some visitors.

My husband and I travel alot and we stay at different hotel chains. We have stayed and other Holiday Inn Express, but none like this one. This hotel was so clean and well maintained, the breakfast options were amazing. We attend a conference and the hotel was completely sold out, but the women stocking up breakfast choice never let anything run out. Everyone at the hotel was trully happy to accomodate any request we had.

This is a gem of a hotel in Los Alamos. The rooms are comfortable, and it is right at the entrance to Los Alamos. The service at the front desk was great. They have a nice little snack counter where you can purchase items off the front desk. The breakfast area was a decent time. This is a newer hotel, and you can tell. It is in great shape. You don't have a lot of choices for hotels in this area, but to be honest, you don't need it. Just stay here. They do a great job.

We were in Los Alamos visiting family and decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean, comfortable and the location is ideal for day trips to Bandolier, Valles Caldera and other breathtakingly beautiful sites. The bed was very comfortable and there was absolutely no noise from the nearby small airport. The free breakfast was actually better than most and if you want something really good, the local natural food co-op is right around the corner and they have awesome breakfast ... Read more

Hotel was comfortable with very nice people attending to thins. Rooms comfy for a Holiday Inn. Shower head nice with a wide spray and good pressure. Breakfast buffet had several edible things on it but lots and lots of bread / carb items. Nearness to the LANL made it valuable for me - there for a business trip. Ride to and from Albuquerque was an interesting drive - lots of geology to see, particularly from a guy from the Deep South.

This hotel had very nice people at the desk. The room was very clean and well cared for. The breakfast bar was filled with hot delicious food and fresh fruit. The few drawbacks were the barking dogs in the room next to us that no one seemed to take care of. Also, the pool had an unusual order that made me rethink getting in.

We have stayed here several times over the years and have always been pleased with our stay. This time, however, was an exception. We chose the hotel for its location - convenient and easy access. It satisfied in that regard. However, the parking lot was extremely full each night and difficult to find parking. Also, folks with dogs let their dogs do their business on the sidewalk and didn't clean up after them. We stayed three nights, and the mess was still there when we left. The woman who ra... Read more

We booked the big room with the two queen beds and sleeping sofa, the room cleaniness was not the best, we had a lot of stuff missing, such as linen for the sleeping sofa, and we had no towel, when you arrive at night with small kids, then waiting for someone to bring you towel is not much fun, however the stuff was bringing us everything that was missing, we only stayed for one night. the pool is nice since it is in the basement, so even if the weather is cold outside you can enjoy it, breakf... Between the carpet of the room and the tile floor of the bathroom was a raised transition strip that stuck up ½" to ¾". It was a perfect toe stubber or arch buster. Something less obtrusive is needed. The bathroom lighting was more decorative than functional. I could not see to shave. The desk clerk was friendly and the property was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was above average with delicious hot and cold food including fresh fruit. There was a damaged spot the size of a fist in our r... Read more

We have stayed here many times on our trips home to Los Alamos and it is clearly the best hotel choice in town. It is still clean and well cared for. Check-in went quickly, unlike a hotel we stayed at in Albuquerque. They have nice, "black out' curtains - which my late sleeping daughter appreciated most of all. Breakfast was the same fare as all Holiday Inn Express locations - decent and included in the price. Our main complaint would be the noise level - 2 barking dogs next door and a cryi... Read more

The location is just as you are getting into town. It was easy to find, easy to park, helpful service at the desk. Newer place, nice looking building & very clean. Nice lobby & breakfast area, has a small indoor pool & gym. Both looked nice & mostly available. Room was clean, tv worked (directv & good wifi), AC worked, nice bathrooms, comfortable bed & plush carpet. Most rooms look out to the hills & some open space, including the breakfast room. Breakfast is good. There are a lot of choices, a... Read more

Other hotels in this city are not as new or as nice. While there's some even nicer bed breakfasts (and some worse ones!) this hotel is really dependably just what you are wanting in a Holiday inn style hotel. It's located with drop dead spectacular views so get room high up. One side of it faces a road that gets very busy during commute times and the other faces the local airport (not very busy and cool to watch). There's some great hikes in walking distance and the Los Alamos CO-OP food ma... Read more

We attended a wedding in Los Alamos and stayed at the hotel with a small group. Our rooms were mostly on the second floor. Unfortunately, we were not notified that there would be construction during our stay -- carpet removal and install during the three day event. Loud noises awoke us on both Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 am with the scraping carpet tacks from cement and hammering, machines through out the stay. Unfortunately, the front desk was not able to do anything but apologize. When we ... Read more
