Got here after a long drive from so Cal. Didn't expect more than a bed and shower. We got a newly renovated very clean pleasant room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is average. They do need to fix the pool though, or fill it in.

Stayed here two nights. No complaints really. Bathroom exhaust fan didn't work and I didn't take the time to address it with management. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Close to I-40... I'd stay here again for the price.

Stayed 3 nights here. People were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. ONLY thing I would suggest to these people would be to 'number' the parking places on the side with parking near doors. Let those who book those rooms have their parking places reserved. Also could use some trashcans near as well as an ashtray outside since a 'non-smoking' room. All in all though..I truly enjoyed the stay. NOISY? NOT even! Didn't hear a thing. Would LOVE to see one on the East side of town, nearer the Red Ro... Read more

This is an older design with outside room entrances. The rooms have been upgraded since our last visit 3 years ago. The exterior has been freshened up also. The room was clean and the mattress comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the fixtures all worked. The internet worked well too. The pool was not open yet but was being readied for the upcoming season. If breakfast is needed in the morning plan on somewhere else. If coffee will suffice it works. I don't need swimming pools or a fanc... Read more

Struggled to find a place after a long day and found this jewel. Clean, comfy and the staff (Patricia) is amazing. No hassle check in and comfy parking. Definitely recommended. Worth the stop over. All over excellent.

This is a gem of a find for an inexpensive stay over on my way to Albuquerque. As long as you look past the dated exterior & small, dated pool... and as long as you realize this isn't the Hampton, it's a budget motel. But, it is an upgrade over most budget motels due to the cleanliness & updated bathroom. There is a microwave & fridge in the room (old, but clean & functioning). Once inside, I was very comfortable & happy for saving a ton over a fancier hotel. If you're a diva, this is not your h... Read more

We stayed one night while traveling to Colorado . Checking in was the only problem, there was a long line and it took awhile. They've remodeled the rooms and now have the vinyl floors. The rooms were nice and clean. They allow dogs with no extra charge, which is why we stayed here and love the floors with the dog.

Well managed and maintained motel. My room was very clean and modern. WIFI worked well. Very good location near I40. The night I was there they had a free BBQ for ALL the guests! I was impressed and have paid much more for much less. Note On Gallup Begging: There are locals who are quite poor and walk by tourist hotels, restaurants, etc.. to beg. I observed management ask a person begging to leave as soon as he came into the parking lot. I noticed previous bad reviews due to this issue. It is... Read more

We stayed here one night as a family on our road trip. We are super picky and the room was clean. The cons were- an 18 wheeler pulled his truck right up the hotel and we couldn't park close to our room and there were a lot of people hanging outside their rooms drinking beer (probably traveling workers) and there was vomit (probably from one of the drunk workers) the next morning on the stairwell.... Honestly we would probably stay here again since the price was right and the room was clean whi... Read more

Front office staff. Pet friendly only allowed one pet per room. Unheated pool outdoors. Rooms were recently updated with flat screen TV flooring Had coffee pot, microwave, fridge. Waffles and cereal with fruit for breakfast. Has laundry facilities. Awesome although there were complaints about noise only heard one train and the air conditioning covered any road noise.

We were very pleased with both the room and the rate. Our king room had a comfortable bed, a corner desk, microwave, fridge and large flat screen tv. Two things the could be improved is the breakfast area, it is not nearly large enough and If you are a motorcycle rider, the parking lot is very slick.

Our group provides a Bible camp each summer for children on the Navajo Reservation near Gallup. We spent another wonderful week at the Red Roof Inn - the rooms are updated with hard flooring - which I like so much better than carpet. The mattress was extremely comfortable - and I had no problems connecting to the wifi. Room also had a refrigerator and microwave - and flat screen TV. It's rare you get all that at the price of the Red Roof Inn. We were lucky to have our stay coincide with th... Read more

A very pleasant motel right on Route 66 the motel is easy to find the only disappointment with Red Roof Inn is its distance from downtown Gallup. Our room was nicely decorated and of a good size. It was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was reasonable with quite a good selection of food. The rates are extremely competitive and I would definitely choose Red Roof again if visiting Gallup.

We requested a room on the first floor; however, there was not one available when we checked in. We were offered a suite on the first floor for an additional $10. It was about the size of two rooms! It had a separate living area and wet bar area with a small refrigerator and microwave. During our drive from CA to GA, this was the best value for the money. To top it off, the staff were very friendly, especially Draticia, and very helpful. Highly recommend the Red Roof Inn in Gallup, NM!

This is certainly the best economy hotel we have EVER stayed in. It is updated and immaculately clean. Absolutely awesome staff. This was our second stay while driving cross country. Found it last year because we were tired and needed a room. Intentionally planned this stop because we knew it would be so good.

Another Red Roof Inn to stay! This one is so much better than the other one. It has a little sitting park in front of the office. Nice to read book under the tree. The room we had was clean. The swimming pool is out of order. Front desk was not that friendly.

I'm driving to Los Angeles on business when my business got delayed 3 days. So what to do? I figured I'd stick around where I got the news, which was in Gallup. I could have paid well over a hundred bucks a night for a nice place, but when my head is on a pillow for 8 hours, I'd prefer not to. So I gave this place a shot based on the reviews and if I didn't like it, oh well. Another review to make and moving on to Hilton of Best Western. It's a humble place. For the price you can expect something not to be right but not what I expected. Check-in was quick & courteous with good instructions on where to park, wi-fi connection, full list of TV channels, etc. The room was very clean and was furnished fairly nice with a flat screen TV, mini-ref. and microwave. We were traveling from Texas to California and found this place. This Red Roof Inn has extremely friendly people at the counter and gladly accepts pets. There was not a great place for Bella to relieve herself, but along the back fence was OK. The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend for traveling with a dog!

I have zero complaints about the cleanliness, staff, amenities. The room was much larger than I had anticipated, for the price, with a full desk. I've read some reviews that mention the bed was uncomfortable - we stayed in a King and it was the perfect balance between hard and soft for my liking. I struggled to get out of it in the morning it was so comfortable. The bath was big enough to comfortably bath in, if you wanted to, and not one of those is-it-a-shower-is-it-a-bath baths. Gallup's Red Roof Inn has nice, clean rooms. The floor in the room is wood with carpet only under the beds. This makes the room much easier to clean and keep looking new. The room was spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of lights throughout the room. The breakfast choices were limited. There were only a few tables in the lobby area, but two additional picnic tables were outside. The hotels along Route 66 are next to a railroad track. If you are a light sleeper, that may be a problem.

Having seen some RedRoof properties in illinois, we were hesitant to stay here. Those fears quickly vanished upon check in. We had a suite for less than $100 and it was nice. The beds were on pedestals which made it friendly for cats. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The pool was clean and decent. Breakfast was not that great, but none of them usually are anyway. Definitely would recommend.

We arrived very late, but had no trouble getting in. The night manager was pleasant and helpful. Since we only needed a place to sleep, we didn't mind that the room was extremely small and there was no where to sit but on the beds. A "continental breakfast" was advertised, but that was disappointing to someone like me who must be gluten-free. There were apples and bananas, but no protein. For a quick stop with no frills, it was fine.

OK hotel. Cheap and cheerful ish. Huge downside is its currently 04:50 am and there's trucks (3 I think) idling outside. They've been doing this for about 10 minutes and it feels like I'm trying to sleep in a motorway service station. The room smells stale and the sheets have holes and are stained This is surprisingly not the worst hotel we stayed in this holiday but it is by far the noisiest. Do not stay here if you value sleep

Clean, Quiet, Good Beds, honestly, how anyone would complain about this motel is beyond me. I'm kind of sick and tired of crying by stupidly fussy travelers. The check in was curt, but to the point, accurate and easy. The WiFi worked well. The FREE BREAKFAST was free, cereal, etc. Nope, no homemade cinnamon buns, or hollandaise eggs benedict. I decided to try this motel on my way from Santa Fe to Flagstaff based on the reviews here. To give it its due, the bed was very comfortable, the water pressure excellent, and the massaging shower head fantastic. I needed that massage after a sleepless night when I got up at 3am to discover the floor all wet and a big (obviously pre-existing) water stain on the ceiling. We needed to find a place to stay the night with or large dogs. On recommendations of others I booked Red Roof Inn. I let them know that we had two large dogs and needed a rollaway. We stayed for a night at the Red Roof Inn Gallup NM on Nov 3 2016 on our road journey from Houston TX to San Jose CA . The room and bath area were good as expected from an Inn setup. The bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep. The breakfast , however ,was disappointing. I had very limited options . The breakfast sitting area too is very congested . In brief , a good place for night rest on Highwajy 66 but poor break fast.
