I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff enough. The hotel was easy to get to off of I-40 and the staff is friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like we were friends they had not seen in a while. The hotel is clean, the furniture and accourtrements look new or have been well kept up. The breakfast was also good. The breakfast staff is very helpful and cleans your table for you. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The experience at the motel was great. We were ready to call a different hotel after putting up with the poor excuse of the national reservation person. When we finally found the local number, Leo, the shift manager got everything straightened out and canceled the reservation that the poor excuse had made and got us in without a problem.

We stopped twice at the Hampton Inn on our way from Dallas to and returning from the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Very clean facilities in an almost new building. Audrey at the front desk was very personable and friendly, telling us a bit about the Navajo people who are still prevalent in this region. Free breakfast was nutritious and tended to by attentive ladies

The hotel was clean and fresh and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and up to date. Enjoyed the pool and the exercise room. The breakfast was very good and had many healthy choices. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends. Great restaurant, Badlands Grill, about 2 miles up the road. Good steaks and friendly service.

We stopped in for the night on our way out and back from our road trip. Staff members were very consistent with being friendly. The rooms were perfect both times. And the breakfast was always great. The price value for this hotel is very good. I would only suggest letting the customers make their own waffles as it usually speeds up the process.

During our stay I had a medical emergency, having to stay three days in ICU and two days in basic hospital stay. The front staff acted quickly after my wife asked for assistance. They showed her compassion during my hospital stay, support making sure she was doing the best during this difficult situation. Thank you to Raquel, Jack, Leo, Emanda. A special thank you to Audrey, Andrea, and David for your extra show of compassion to my wife during this hardship.

Great hotel! Staff was Very friendly and helpful. We had been driving across Arizona all day, and just happened to pull in to Gallup. Staff very helpful, told us about local attractions, and we decided to stay an extra day. Got to see Native American customs, learned about movie star visits, and saw the local scenery. A great place to come visit, and I'd stay here again!

We stay at this Hampton in a few times a year when traveling from CA to Santa Fe. We've tried other hotels in Gallup and this is the best choice for us. The staff is very accommodating. While the beds are better than most motels, it might be time to replace the mattresses soon.

We didn't actually stay at this Hampton Inn. When I saw that it was right off of I40, I had made reservations, thinking it was located conveniently to Gallup, only to find that it is west of Gallup and well past where we wanted to be. When I voiced my concerns, the desk clerk, Leo, immediately helped us find other accommodations and cancelled our reservation at this Hampton Inn. He was not only helpful, but very pleasant, and I truly appreciated his getting us back on track.

We are traveling north and have stayed at hundreds of hotels. Everything works and the staff is very friendly. The positives: friendly staff, clean hotel, large king room, clean linens though the towels and washcloths are a little thin, good water pressure in shower but poor water pressure in sink, good room lighting, good wifi, small widescreen tv with DIRECTV, breakfast your standard hotel offerings. The negatives: not much but hotel needs a little TLC. Bottom line you'll have a quiet night's... Read more

We were very impressed with this hotel. To begin with, the staff was predominately Native American (mix of tribes). The staff was friendly, highly competent, and had pride in the hotel and their work. The hotel atmosphere was highly friendly and helpful. Also, this has to be one of the nicest Hamptons I have stayed in - and I travel a lot. My family loved the small touches of local food at breakfast. What I really remember -- hotel staff -- is the bad elevator and the fact that you put us on the third floor, but didn't tell us we couldn't use the elevator until we saw the sign on the elevator. We had planned on making it to Albuquerque but we were too tired. Am I glad we stopped. We have never stayed in a Hampton and this was right off the highway. Well first thing there were some bananas there. Good treat!! Beds were comfy, delicious soap and nice surroundings. We trodded down to what we expected to find some same old breakfast like other chains but NO we were greeted by two cheerful ladies Marisa and Cecelia!! They were so delightful and friendly! I love the Hampton Inn. They never disappoint! I left my bath bag in the room and when I called they had it. They are sending it to me!! The lady that was serving breakfast was so sweet! Kudos to her! Her name is Cecile so be sure and take time to talk to her! The town of Gallup is great and we found the people equally as nice!

Four of us stayed overnight in Gallup, NM at the Hampton Inn. Rooms were clean and comfortable but the great friendly service during breakfast next morning was excellent. The two people that made it enjoyable were Teresa and Sylvan. More employees should be as pleasant as those two.

Their recommendation for dinner down the street appeared tourist free and the food was generous in portion size and very tasty. The next morning quickie (included) breakfast included qui... Read more

I really like Hampton Inns in general and this hotel lived up to all my expectations. It was clean, quiet and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling along I 40.

Excellent and relaxing value, offering unexpected personal touches such as 24/7 availability of coffee and bowls of fresh fruit, a hot tub with truly hot water, and ample fresh towels for the swimming pool.
