I was pleasantly surprised with this Hampton Inn. It is right off the main highway through town, and it has a pool and fitness center. The rooms were nice, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is right next to a BSNF rail yard, so the hotel provides ear plugs. I love the sound of trains, and it helped me go right to sleep.

Hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. Enjoyed a good night's sleep despite the train that runs by the hotel. Near popular restaurants. We had no complaints and experienced the usual Hampton high quality.

We arrived and were greeted by a smiling friendly desk clerk and got us taken care of right away. We pre-checked and she told us that we could change to a room further back because of the train traffic thru Clovis. The BNSF Railroad runs a large number of trains thru Clovis so all hotels in this area will have some noise. Our room was very quiet, very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was as good as any hotel in the chain and was taken care of by a very nice lady who made sure everyt... Read more

Friendly Staff, good service, sometimes long wait for check in past 9pm. The train near the hotel is hardly even noticeable and I personally wake for any noise. I stay here because it is the preferred hotel through my company but they greet me like a regular which I like, have only had a few issues while staying here but I have stayed here over 10 times.

We always have a good experience at the Hampton Inn in Clovis. It is a good respite when traveling from Austin, Texas, and 8-hour drive. The customer service is always the best and so is the FREE breakfast.

I was over-charged, lied to, and will never stay at this hotel again. The staff was rude (well not all but 2 of the employees were rude) no one could fully explain to me why I was charged $100 more than I should have been charged. I am disgusted and will never stay at this hotel again. Once I got home and realized the money they said would be refunded to me was not refunded, I called and spoke to about 3 people who have yet to fix this situation.

A very nice hotel with an amazing free breakfast! Don't let the location in town mislead you, because just a short drive north gets you into the nicer areas with shops and restaurants. Check out the zoo during your stay, it's nice.

Older hotel - nothing seemed to work right. Wand fell off the curtains, bedside lamp didn't work and had exposed wires, ice machine on our floor was broker for the 3 days we were there, and air conditioner would not adjust any lower than 65 for night which was too high for the comforter on the bed and too low for just a sheet. On the plus side, there are train tracks across the street and they are active day and night but surprisingly the sound didn't keep us awake - plus they provided ear plugs... Read more

As a stop on the way to Texas, the Hampton Inn was a good choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was an indoor pool, cookies in the evening and bottled water if you wanted it. Now that the road work is done, the hotel is more accessible.

I always expect Hampton to be superb and this one is no exception. We had a super late arrival and Linda was absolutely fun when we checked in. We were tired but found ourselves chatting with her for a few minutes before going to our rooms. Rooms were large and clean and beds comfortable. We were warned of the train whistle but when it passed at 6am we could hardly hear it. Breakfast was the usual at a Hampton but Barbara made it special. We had coffee and chatted with her for some time before s... Read more

What you would expect from the Hampton Inn chain, clean rooms, internet, comfortable beds, however the train runs all night long, and blows their horn every time they pass a road crossing near the hotel. Not good if you are a light sleeper, although the hotel does provide earplugs (I can't sleep with earplugs)

Hotel is very close to a train track and multiple times at night, the passing trains blow their whistle. Impossible to sleep through the night. We were offered earplugs upon check-in, but who is going to wear earplugs through the night? Unacceptable.

We stayed one night. Total charge: $170. That is outrageous; we stay the next three days at a wonderful place in Taos, the Sagebrush Inn, in a two-room suite, for an average 15% less than that. The room was clean, comfortable. But, at that price: I expect better than paper cups. I asked at the desk if they had a couple of glasses, of any variety, to use for our pre-dinner glasses of wine. Nope. (The Sagebrush Inn in Taos gave us crystal wine glasses from the bar, no problem.) And they ... Read more

Hotel was above average for Hampton, clean and rooms were nicely cooled when we arrived. Desk staff were friendly and professional. Room was nice, bathroom was updated with granite counters. Overall the best Hampton stay of our cross country trip.

Clovis is in the middle of nowhere. The Hampton Inn here is just fine. It looks a bit tired but you can tell that the management is trying hard to do the best they can with an older building. The front desk clerk told us about the train that is nearby and we found earplugs on the bath vanity. Nice touch. The room was clean and internet worked well. The bathroom could use a bit of an update and new towels but they were fine. The breakfast was not the best Hampton breakfast I've had. Limited brea... Read more

My wife and I typically like to stay in Hampton Inns. We've found them, for the most part, to be reliably comfortable. Here in Clovis, with the very active railroad line almost a rock's throw from the hotel, there was no way to miss the railroad trains and their diesel engine blasts as they came and went VERY frequently. The hotel staff was very congenial, and the rooms adequate (although not up to the normal HI standard), although this particular hotel appeared to be somewhat old and dat... Read more

We stayed a couple of nights while visiting a relative in a local nursing home. The only problem with the room was a brown piece of goo which we noticed that night upon putting away drinks in the fridge. We had driven 6 hours to get there, so we left it until the morning. Well, of course, I forgot to tell them and figured they'd just get it when they cleaned the room. No such luck, it was still there that night when we returned. Again, too tired to say anything that late, so I just told the fron... Read more

Property is right at a train crossing (we knew this ahead of time). Beds were kind of hard. Found some toenail clippings on a chair. Biggest disappointment wad the indoor pool wasn't working. Suggest you call ahead of your stay to find out if it's working.

From the moment we entered the hotel we were pleased with all items. From the ease of check in to the room, to the bed, to the bathroom,to the breakfast, it was all outstanding. The staff made you feel at home. You can go to more expensive hotels and never have the wonderful experience as you would at The Hampton Inn.

Perhaps some rooms are better than others when it comes to the fact that you can hear the train whistle about every 15 minutes. I kept us awake most of the night. They offer ear plugs. The amenities really don't matter. Bad experience and I would suggest pick another motel away from train crossing.

Booked a suite got a room next to the breakfast lounge instead. Checked into our room where the drapes were ripped and torn. Proceeded to just except the condition of the room for the night just to turn around and have to endure 12 bikers hanging out in the breakfast area cursing and drinking alcohol laughing and yelling till 10:30 pm. It is very clear that just because it says Hilton doesn't mean it is a Hilton Standard hotel. The train sounding off every half hour was the least of their prob... Read more

We stay at this hotel each time we travel to Clovis. The staff usually regonizes us and is very nice. Only draw back is it is located across the street from railroad tracks, so you hear the train unless you ask to stay at far end.

No surprises here as this is essentially a typical Hampton Inn but this establishment seems to somehow come out a bit above the norm. Friendly staff. The best breakfast I have had at a Hampton. (Has that changed or is this local?). All in all a very good exprience. Recommended.

This is an older Hampton Inn situated along the main east-west road (Highway 60) through Clovis New Mexico. It has been updated inside. The only downside is the nearly constant train activity right across the street. The trains honk their horns at the street intersection 100 yards away. But the walls are thick and do a pretty good job of knocking down all sounds. The nicer part of Clovis is northwest about 3 miles. Price is 50% better than Fairfield Inn, though. I'd stay again.

Nice place, dated but nice. Friendly staff although he never could get my key to work. And he gave my room to someone else, what a surprise that was. Noisy air conditioner, trains across the street so stay on the backside if you can. Breakfast was complete and good. Breakfast staff was friendly.

Even though this place is across the street from train tracks and road crossing it was quiet. Heard the trains outside but rooms I didn't notice. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. Staff was great even when I locked my keys in the room. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast so nothing to say about it.
