The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a little better than I expected. The bed was fresh and clean. The bathroom was spotless. Overall, the physical facility is old and in need of a major refresh. For $57 a night it was just fine. I'd stay there again.

The Quality Inn on Menaul used to be the Western Star. I stayed there several times then and recently I have stayed there 3 times as the Quality Inn. Locating certain rooms can be a little confusing at first, but you get the feel quickly. It has had much needed improvement with the changes made. There is a big difference in the rooms as if they are still renovating slowly but it was still a nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. I preferred the first and last rooms on my stays not that the s... Read more

This hotel is a great place to stay over for the night. Room was clean and spacious and Heather at the desk was very nice. Laundry should be open longer hours. Beds were comfortable and couch and lounge chair in room were super plush.

I have had several stays at the Quality Inn and each time is a pleasure! The rooms are always clean, the beds are perfect for my back, the breakfast is a step above what you find at the other major chains. And most of all, the customer service and hospitality shows that these people sincerely care about their business. I'll be back!

Driving up to this hotel our first impression was that it was going to be a wonderful stay! We couldn't have been more wrong. The pictures of the room I reserved was NOT what we were given. (I opened our email to make sure) We changed rooms 3 times before going back to our original room. I checked back on others reviews and the pics taken to see that there were obviously newer rooms, but we didn't see those!! I hardly know where to start on this review. The room did NOT smell fresh, so we t... Read more

We had booked a room at this hotel for our second night of our vacation, mostly because of its proximity to I-40. Location is not everything. When we opened the door and stepped in the room first thing we noticed was the carpet felt like someone spilled honey over every square inch. The tiled floor by the vanity sink and into the bathroom were just as bad. The beds were clean, but I had to spray Febreze everywhere. We probably should have left right then but we were tired. Hindsight, we should h... Read more

When I pulled into the hotel parking lot I thought I had made a good hotel selection.. It was short lived as I entered a very cluttered and well used front desks. As I headed to the elevator I knew I was not going to like what I would find in my room. Debris filed the walkway and the trashcan and smoking pot in front of the elevator was filthy. The elevator worked, enough said. My room was straight out of a B grade movie. Old scratched up chairs that I would not put my shoes onto. Two decrepit ... Read more

Every room has an outside entrance, so If you don't like this arrangement, at least now you are aware. This did not present any problems for our stay, though it might in colder weather. Our room (king-size bed) was located on the ground floor, near the back of the hotel. Actually we were back-to-back with the office. I had read some travelers' room tips about avoiding the back rooms, but that was not a problem with our room. It was very quiet, even with parking right outside our door. We choose... Read more

I have stayed here a couple times in last two weeks. Hotel is convenient to interstate and restaraunts, etc. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and "people oriented". Michelle, Terese, and Hannah demonstrate a genuine love for the hospitality industry that is not found as often as it should be. I hope that the ownership appreciates that. The bedding, pool, business center, and hot breakfast are all pluses as well. Thanks a lot for a great stay.

The hotel is OK and the staff courteous and friendly but we lost about $5000 of our possessions when someone took the U-Haul trailer right off the back of our truck while were sleeping. They have no security and I note geek like Albuquerque has a huge stolen goods market ring and this hotel is hit regularly. Do not stay here with a trailer

We stayed here for 2 nights and overall we were very happy with our stay. We were allowed to check in a little early (which is always nice). Used reward points and was very surprised when we opened the door to the room and it was a suite!!! (I didn't realized I booked a suite, it was all the same points!) Suite was VERY spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with lots of variety. The pool was also very nice and clean, although it seemed a little odd that you have to check ou... I arrived in the evening, my room was ready. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was better than average. Bacon and scrambled eggs as well as the normal cereal and toast, etc. It is near a truck stop, but I heard no noise.

Good News: Large, modern hotel with clean, spacious rooms. Very nice King beds. Frig, hair dryer, microwave, and ironing board. Disabled rooms are available. Breakfast was very good with a spacious dining room. The lobby is pleasant and the staff member was very helpful. It is a multi-floor facility with elevator. There is a fenced pool and well equipped exercise room. Bad News: In these violent and highly unsettled times, one must always be mindful of your surroundings. When we drove in, ther... Read more

First, the front desk help was friendly, but the hotel needs some work. The room we were given had a syringe and needle between the mattress and box springs, and the toilet didn't flush. I was offered a plunger if I came down in the pouring rain to get it. After asking, I was given another room. That room had two towels for three of us. Apparently the hotels policy prevents the front help from leaving the desk and it seems they have no other options for helping the staff out. Per the locals this... Read more

My family stayed at the Quality Inn University and found it to be great. This is not a new property but it is well maintained. We enjoyed a quick dip in the pool, it was delightful. The pool is heated enough to be enjoyable without the chill when entering. Breakfast was awesome, something for everyone. We enjoyed toast and sweet pastries as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese omelets, bacon, juice and coffee. There was also cereal, oatmeal, and bagels. Something for everyone! The best asset for ...
