We went to Albuquerque for a funeral, so we were meeting up with other family. They were nice enough to put us in three rooms next to each other and two of them were adjoining rooms. It was very convenient as the funeral home was about a block away. There were lots of restaurants nearby and they were great about giving recommendations. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Next time I would know to ask for a view of the mountains. We stay... Read more

Pulling up to an exterior Holiday Inn Express was not new to me. I stayed in one a couple of years ago. It was new and very lovely. This one, however has the feeling like it used to be a Motel 8 or something. It is old. The beds are uncomfortable. The pillows are too hard and uncomforable. I ended up sleeping with my head on my jacket. (What little sleep I got) The lighting in the bathroom was not bright enough and the fan was inefficient. Breakfast was great! I really enjoyed it apa... Read more

The room was comfortable but terrible shower design. I had to get into the shower to turn it on and was slapped with a shot of cold water. Carpet could use some cleaning. Beds were comfortable and clean. Close to shopping, restaurants gas station and highway. Overall a fair stay. Staff very friendly.

This hotel is located in the middle of shopping centers, right near I-40 and around a lot of great restaurants. The hot tub and sauna worked well, and the entire areas was clean and well maintained. I did not eat breakfast there so I cannot comment, but the rooms were clean. They are pet friendly and the staff is just excellent. I would go back there again just to stay and enjoy the hot tub and Sauna. Good price for what they had to offer

Our room had two queen size beds. They seemed sort of squishy because whenever my wife moved I could feel it. However, I slept well both nights. Breakfast was good with your choice of pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and cereal. Coffee was good and apple, orange and another juice available. Breakfast dining room was crowded both mornings. The staff refreshed the food items frequently and cleaned up any spills promptly. Unfortunately they allow service dogs in the breakfast room... We booked a single overnight on short notice following a medical emergency. Then we extended our stay day-by-day until we could solve the medical issues. Back and forth to the hospital daily and the stress of a premature birth could have been compounded had our motel not been friendly, comfortable, and accommodating. They were, in fact, wonderful. We had a room with two queen beds, and both were comfortable. Breakfast was good and filling, which helped us a lot. Being close to a variety of rest... Read more

We've stayed here twice with a pet, even though it is twice as expensive as the Days Inn across the street. Parking is not great if you have a trailer, so those who stay there with one take up four or more spaces, which can make parking difficult for others. The rooms have been clean, and there is a pet area at the back of the property, though it is small and gets watered at times that make night trips wet.

Nicely renovated, but can't make the rooms larger and my 2 queen bed room felt small. Good breakfast and excellent wifi. No elevator, so if you require a first floor room, be sure to ask when making your reservation.

We were going to spend only one night here, but my vehicle had different plans. They very graciously added one more day and an extension to our check out time. The room was nice and the pool area was great. Breakfast was as good as always. Thank goodness there were places close enough to walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. I saw on a previous post that there was no elevator, but they have rectified that thank goodness as I had to empty out my entire car.

This place is clean and friendly, but the pool was dirty and they closed it 15 minutes early The room below us flooded so maintenance came in to make sure it was not coming from us, but other than that it was a nice stay. Small, but get breakfast in the morning.

Choose another property unless this location has been remodeled. Parking lot access to room is a sure recipe for dirty carpet and smelly moldy room. It may have been a convenience in the past, but I'd rather have a clean fresh smelling and quite room.

We stayed here for a night and found that while the hotel was older, it was well maintained and had a friendly staff. It also had a large variety of breakfast options. If you don't feel safe with doors on the exterior of the building, this isn't the hotel for you. We normally select hotels that have interior doors, but this hotel felt safe, so we would stay here again. It was also very reasonably priced.

Interesting layout of hotel. I loved the gazebo in the courtyard as it gave us a place outside of our room to share time with family staying in a different hotel across the street. The staff was friendly. While the room was a little well-worn, it was comfortable enough. I think our only complaint was the parking lot situation. One of the evenings we came back to the hotel, there were probably 3-4 semis/moving trucks with cars on dollies, etc parked across so many of the spaces. While I rea... Read more

I've been staying here for a few years now for about a week at a time when visiting my daughter. Although it is an older remodeled motel with outside room access, the rooms are always clean and well maintained. Plus it's right off Lomas which gives one easy and fast access to just about anywhere in the city on a surface street and there is fast access to I-40 off Eubank. I've never had an issue with a smelly room simply because outside access and I've stayed here in monsoon season and this year ... Read more

Stayed there for just one overnight. The room I got smelled like a smoker room, even though apparently it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. This property has a long way to go be modernized. The rooms are antiquated and need a serious freshening. The safe in my room was missing the lock entirely. The shower/water closet room was pretty small. The least they could do is clean the carpets if it's supposed to be a non-smoking room. Be forewarned - bring your own Febreeze!

This is a much dates hotel with some road noise as all their rooms are facing outside with a corridor. Feels more like a motel 8 than Holiday inn express. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good. Their cinnamon rolls are world class. Their lobby is updated and much cleaner. They do allow pets for 25$ charge.

Arriving in Albuquerque much later than we'd expected, i.e. 2:00 AM of the next day, we looked for a Holiday Inn, figuring that would be good for a few hours of sleep. I was able to google their number, and found this location to be most convenient to our route. I called and booked a room. When we arrived, exhausted, there seemed to be a problem with our reservation, and it took three people to figure out what to do. They succeeded, and then gave us directions to our room without a map. Since I ... Read more

On our road trip across the country, we stayed at Holiday Inn Expresses all over, so we knew how generally great the hotels are. But not this one. It was like a budget motel purchased by HIE and little money was spent fixing it up. All of the rooms had outside entrances, the numbering was off, making it hard to find where your room was, they smelled musty, the beds were small and the way the were made had all of the sheets tucked in way low on the bed, so you either had to scoot down to be co... Staff friendly during check in. Would stay here again without a doubt. Hotel is in a good location close to I40. Rooms are very clean. Hotel grounds are manicured. Best part is the security staff that patrol the parking lot after dark so there is no worry about your vehicle.

Not as nice as advertised but in good location and clean. We got in late and were woken up next morning before 8 to move our cars due to paving of the parking lot. No one mentioned this to us when we booked that evening or when we checked in. Very inconvenient under our circumstances. Beware, doors to rooms are outside like old hotels. Not good for single women.

Staff was friendly but room was shabby. Lots of stains on the carpet and the furniture looked old. This hotel appears to be in a sketchy area. My family felt unsafe and I was worried about my car getting broken into a night. At least they have a security guard but that only reenforces my opinion of the area.

Rooms were average and needed updating. The bath and commode room was very, very small. Was about you should expect for a budget hotel. Breakfast area was clean and food ample and fresh. Would probably find another H.I. to stay next time.

I stayed for a week for business and it was nicer than I thought it would be. You can tell it used to be a motel from the outside but Holiday Inn did a good job in fixing it up to their standards. Don't expect brand new rooms and amenities. The king bed is quite comfortable and has good shower pressure with ample hot water. There is free wifi and free breakfast, which was very good with quite the selection. Inside heated pool and jetted hot tub. If your coming for business, Kirkland AFB is about... Read more

If I had not pre-booked and paid for my room in advance I would have kept on driving. The property is old and in need of a major overhaul. The rooms are entered from outside, and I felt unsafe on the first floor. In order to turn on the shower I had to get in and was promptly sprayed with cold water. The breakfast was not as well appointed as other Holiday Inn Expresses. The staff was friendly, but it wasn't enough to make my stay a pleasant experience.

This is an older HIE property, and is in need of upgrading. It was chosen for it's location. Safety was not a concern, but we travelled as a couple. Had I been alone, it would have been. The beds were comfortable, the off-street parking was good, but the Air Conditioner in the room was too noisy. The courtyard rooms are more secure. The entire property is no smoking, but the courtyard is the designated area for smokers. There is a pleasant little gazebo there, which would be nice to sit in, exce... Read more

We stayed here for Balloon Fiesta 2016 & would stay here again. Our room was spacious and clean. A bit outdated, but was just fine for our family (2 adults, 1 small child, 1 small dog). The hotel is walking distance to the Owl Café, a classic dinner, where you receive 10% off your bill if you mention you are staying next door.

For the price and the brand name, I was a bit disappointed. Not horrible by any means just kind of drab, front desk staff seemed to not want to be there today, no good restaurants close by, and room was so musty i had to spray room deodorizer all over. After driving over 1000 miles that day, the bed did seem clean and soft and was happy to be there. But if the area again i would stay elsewhere.

Stayed on the ground floor. The outside door opened to a courtyard and the backdoor opened to an indoor swimming pool. Great breakfast and close to any activity or shopping that you would want. Very nice stay and would do it again. The famous Owl Restaurant is right next door.

Stayed at this hotel as a last minute stay, we were driving and needed a place to stop. The hotel was being redone and had lots of construction. While the staff was friendly and the property was kept, it was an older hotel and not a typical HI Express.
