Me and my family just returned from a Mother's Day weekend stay at the StarLux hotel in Wildwood, New Jersey. I am writing to tell all interested parties that this place is probably one of the nicest hotels in Wildwood, with friendly and courteous staff, and super amenities unmatched in the area. The rooms are clean and the linens fresh, the pool and hot-tub were open in early May, and the free usage of their many bicycles was very much appreciated by me and my daughters. We stayed at the StarLux in one of their two Airstream Rv's. These are situated across the street from the hotel with their gravel parking lot. Checking in to the hotel it was a little difficult to find the office as it is not quite next to the parking. However, office front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful, pointing out the free continental breakfast, pool, game room and free bicycle rental. The hotel has a lovely pool and hot tub which was open in May. They even have a disabled poo... Read more

Beautiful quaint wonderful hotel. The hosting from the start to the finish was excellent. So helpful. Slept in the trailer the only objection was i needed a little more coverage in the windows. in the trailer. The experience a nothing but a joy. I re-booked to stay again with my daughters for memorial day weekend.

We enjoy taking several short affordable trips during off season times when it is less crowded and when our children can engage in various activities on premise or off if the weather is not that great. Starlux- was just the right spot- it has a unique fun retro feel, with amenities such as a heated pool and hot tub, a nice lounge next to the pool to read or hang around while the kids play in the pool, adults too can enjoy the nice pool and hot tub; complementary bikes :) :) to ride on the board... I've been coming to Wildwood for 20+ years. This is far and away the nicest hotel for its price in the area. The beds and bedding are insanely comfortable, the staff is beyond friendly, and the little extras they give set it apart from the rest.

I booked a last minute trip with my sons and this hotel was fantastic! The key to that was their customer service. We got in at 9:00pm from a 4+ hour drive and were greeted by Theresa who treated us like long lost friends, followed by Bob the next morning who did the same. This set the tone for the rest of our trip. Their location couldn't be better, close to the boardwalk but not too close. My sons loved the pool and the free use of their bikes. Loved this hotel from the pictures we saw online. If you book a single queen bed like we did they most likely will put you in the house next door at the property they own. There was 6 rooms there I think. We were on the upstairs floor. These room sadly weren't themed like the rest of the hotel. My husband and I loved the retro feel from the pictures but the room we had was nice; it has a 50s bungalow feel. The hotel definitely lives up to its guests' reviews. We spent two nights at Starlux, one in the airstream trailer and one in the proper hotel. The entire staff was amazing and Gordon - who I believe is the manager - personally texted me to let me know he had an additional room available for our second night. Rooms are clean, pool was awesome and safe for our three year old, bikes were free to rent, super close to boardwalk, parking simple, check in simple, and they have Neutrogena products in... I love this hotel!! This is the only place I will stay from now on whenever I visit Wildwood. The famous Wildwood sign is only a block away. The famous broadwalk is only two blocks away. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, one of the friendliest employees you will come across. I have been coming to Wildwood for over 18 years. The hotels I have stayed at have been hit or miss as far as cleanness, safety, and location. The Starlux hotel hits all those points and more!

Two friends and I came for the low prices in the days before the boardwalk opened, and we could not have had a better experience! The hotel is adorably retro, decked out with lava lamps, complementary cruiser bicycles, and a manager (Bob) who put doowop on the radio and did the "Twist" with us! The staff is friendly, helpful, and flexible - we checked into our room 3 hours early because they cleaned it for us as soon as we arrived. The boys loved the lava lamp! Decor is really cool. Pool was nice (deepest spot is 4 feet)...hot tub was great too. Breakfast was decent. Morning front desk gentleman was a doll as well. I can only speak to my stay in one of the two airstream trailers that are permanently parked on the property - but what a uniquely wonderful experience. The whole design of the Starlux is very retro yet fresh and if you enjoy the look and feel of the era of mod, then you are really in for a treat. We very much enjoyed our brief stay at the Star Lux. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We booked the Airstream trailer and it was a lot of fun. Clean, well maintained and a great location. Unfortunately, Hurricane Hermine cut our visit short. We felt very much that the manager and staff cared about their guests safety by offering to move us from the trailer to the main building for the night, but more so that they gave us a FULL refund for our unused nights so w... We stayed at the Star Lux in June 2016. The hotel was renovated with a distinctly 1960's retro feel. It was nice and clean and convenient to the boardwalk and beach. The staff was great. We stayed in one of the vintage air stream trailers - it was very nice. I can't say enough - we had a great time and will definitely return

I would not hesitate to stay here. Best last minute discussion. Teresa at the front desk was great. Perfect balcony can't say enough good things. I always stay in the Crest but the hotels in the Crest are closed for the season. Found a great place at the StarLux. Beds are comfortable and new!

This September was my first stay at the Starlux Hotel and was wonderful. The room was very clean, had all the amenities one would expect from a luxury hotel without the luxury price. The grounds were well maintained- the pool and jacuzzi were perfect. The beach and boardwalk are one short block away. The staff were professional and friendly and the continental breakfast was a bonus. I plan on making the Starlux Hotel my Wildwood destination place.

We always love staying at the StarLux for the Wildwood 50's Weekend. it's a lovely retro Doo-Wop hotel within walking distance of Foxwood Park, the Boardwalk, and the Convention Center. We've seen the rooms and as wonderful as they look, we love staying in the Airstream. Much to our surprise this year was the addition of a mini golf course and a Kohr's Custard. We didn't golf due to time constraints but it looked like a cute little course. We did stop at the Kohr's Custard a few times as we... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Starlux. The room was extremely small but very clean. We were not in the room much so it did not bother us that it was small. I would imagine it would be cramped with 4 in one room. They offer a small breakfast in the morning and free wifi. I was only able to connect to the wifi in the early morning but I was not able to connect later in the day. Our room was towards the end so the router may not have been strong enough. When were checking out, the employee as... Read more

This hotel was such a great find! I was looking for a place to stay for just one night in October, with my father, and I found a 2-bedroom suite at the StarLux that was perfect. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. When I travel, I generally stay at Hilton properties because of their level of cleanliness and the comfort of their beds, but Wildwood is predominately non-chain, privately-owned lodging, which in my experience is hit and miss. The StarLux was a definite HIT! T... Read more

In all my travels around the United States I have never come upon such a host as Gordon at the starlux hotel. first-class accommodations, clean rooms and very nice. They also have a nice putt putt golf course and I'm inclined now to take a vacation because of hello this staff made me feel at home. 5 Stars Plus

We stayed here with friends over a four day weekend in October. We had booked two two-room suites and the rooms were perfect for us. My wife and I traveled with our twins, so the extra room was great. Our room did have some dampness on the carpet, which occurred due to the rain coming in from ac unit. Staff was accommodating and vacuumed up the water to help with drying. We really weren't in the rooms too much, so it wasn't a major issue. Small breakfast was perfect for a bite before hit... There's something about Starlux... that draws you back... ... accommodations, staff, location and ambiance. My wife and I really enjoy staying here, and highly recommend it, so don't let the few things we criticize change your mind, some of which is not always easily controlled. One of the best things at the end of the day is some nice quiet time in the pool, under the stars, and the neon sign - but...
