The staff was friendly but spread too thin. I tried to call the customer service line twice to no avail. I wanted to report a flying, spidery insect in the room. The waitress in the lounge served me an outdated glass of wine from the bottom of the bottle, I had to ask for a fresh pour.

- The internet connection is shotty and tends to cut out at night some times - My bathroom had horrible drainage - My room thermostat didn't work and rather than giving me a new room, the hotel sent an engineer who validated that it didn't work and they gave me a blanket The good part of this hotel is its location - it's very convenient

Agree, a little pricey for the area, but overall just what one would expect. Comfortable rooms, ok food and bar. There is also a mall across the street and a free shuttle to run you around. Pleasant staff. It is a bit further away from the airport than I expected. What is up with WiFi at Hiltons? It is such a pain compared to 'real' places. Why not free and open access? It is 2016.......

I stayed here for a business conference and was underwhelmed by this hotel given the high pricing charged. The main positive was the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff in dealing with issues in my hotel room. While the room appears to have had a makeover at some point, the plumbing is in serious need of a major overhaul. My sink would back up, the toilet would not flush properly, and the shower drain would back up as well. In speaking with my colleagues also staying at the hotel, the... Read more

I stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. I got helped by Ayaz in the front desk who was very professional and helpful, and also became a Hilton's member. The hotel is located in an upscale area and right accross you have a mall with great stores such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Macy's and more. The lobby, lounge, conferences, dinning rooms are elegant, but I was in awe by the indoor pool, jacuzzi, spa facilites and gym which is big with many machines. I had the breakfast buf... Read more

This was my first time staying at this hotel after many, many visits for dinners and drinks and use of the hair salon. Staying here this weekend was a nice getaway and I was very impressed with the hotel staff inside the property and service inside as well and that is why I am rating this hotel as very good. However, there was a complete lack of control, security or any type of rule enforcement at the outdoor pool. It was extremely crowded both Saturday and Sunday and closed Monday due a chil... This our first time staying here. Compared to other Hiltons we have stayed at this is similar but on a smaller scale. The beds were very comfortable. The dining room is expensive so be prepared to pay mid 20s for entree at dinner or breakfast buffet. Dinner was good although we only had soup and salad as it was late for us. Breakfast omelette were good especially with goat cheese. The fruit was very limited and not good at all. Either over ripe or under ripe including the whole unpeeled oranges.... Read more

Saturday's and Sunday's at this supposedly highly rated hotel are not worth the visit, that is if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing day at the pool. Kids are screaming and unruly and there's no discipline by patents who are just as bad. Front desk staff replies "they are paying guests too - go to the indoor spa pool" well that's fine in the winter but not on a nice sunny hot day- and that's no answer to give to an unsatisfied guest. Not a good customer experience!!

We stayed here enroute on recent visit to NYC area. Chose it as it was close to an appointment. Overall the hotel is nicely appointed, the rooms are great and the morning breakfast was tasty. The main issue is that the price point for this hotel is high if looking for a room for the night. If you want to take advantage of other amenities here - tennis court, indoor/outdoor pool then then $$ are likely better. My advice is to shop around if looking for overnight stop. That being said the ... Read more

this is a lovely hotel and the rooms are clean & well appointed. However, there are other hotels in the area that are a much better value and have better "in room" amenities than this hotel. Little items I have come to expect are: a bottle of water, a bathrobe, q-tips & cotton pads, turn down service. This hotel had none of these. I would not stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay for our 11th anniversary. The hotel room was very clean, except a minor blemish in the bathroom. We were welcomed by friendly staff (as I am a Hilton Honors member. Check in and check out went smoothly. We didn't get a chance to use the facilities because we were only there for 1 night. I previously used the pool, spa, jacuzzi and bar. We had a tasty breakfast buffet the next morning, I would definitely recommend. A mall is across the street for shopping... Read more

The hotel has a fantastic location - across the street from the mall - but is tired and run down in need of a room facelift. The staff vary in service offered and the inconsistency adds to the need to upgrade management and the frontline staff

This hotel is convenient to almost everything in the Short Hills, Summit, Warren and Berkeley Heights area. Good restaurants and shopping are v. close. The hotel staff are extremely professional, polite, helpful and friendly. Rooms are always clean and the housekeeping staff are very conscientious and considerate. The bar is usually staffed with friendly and helpful employees, and the drink and food selections there are very good.

Used for business and this hotel is the only one close to several offices so is always full. Overpriced in my opinion for what you get. Rooms are dark and whilst clean & comfortable the hotel could really do with a makeover. Gym & spa are great. Staff very friendly & helpful. Have stayed here many times but my last stay was disappointing. I am a Hilton Honours member but ended up with a double sofa bed in part of a suite... I put up with it as it was only for 2 nights and did get some discou... Read more

I have stayed here several times over a number of years for both business and pleasure. It's a great place. Located relatively close to Newark airport and right across the street (actually a highway) from the Short Hills Mall. The hotel has great food, the rooms are very nice and the staff are great.

Excellent choice for location. Great overall stay and would highly recommend! Across from Short Hills Mall and minutes to trains to New York. Friendly staff and quality service. Helpful concierge and drivers to stations-breakfast was way understaffed but tried to accommodate.
