A family member had their wedding party guests stay here this weekend. The hotel could not have done a worse job and then rebounded more poorly. I haven't seen this poor of an example of customer service that I can remember. In advance, the hotel said we could not provide welcome letters in the gift bags we were dropping off. Instead, they insisted they had to do it. This seemed odd, but rules are rules. I'm sure you can see where this is going. The welcome note, the only way all the hotel gues... Read more

I stayed here two nights while attending a function at the convention center. The internet was adequate and the breakfast was delicious although not free. The room was clean and comfortable, although for a quieter morning get a room on the back (there are noisy buses parked out front). Jamie behind the bar was friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom tub was stained and appeared dirty. The food was not good and the restaurant hours of operation were not convenient. The check in process was extremely poor and the woman at the front desk was rude.

I really recommend this property if you don't have an issue riding a bus to Manhattan (some thing surprisingly not bad for someone who hasn't ride a bus in many years :). I have stayed in down town Manhattan before for double and triple the price, but found this hotel to be a really good alternative. Pros: A free parking garage across the street Free Wifi several great restaurants within minutes walking (outback, Cheeseburger paradise and many more) You are actually at the Harmon Meadows / Mill ... We stayed just one night before going to the Liberty Science Center. It was about a 20 minute drive from the hotel to the Science center. We loved room, which included a king with sofa bed. It was clean and spacious. However we did have to walk back down to the front desk for bed clothes for the sofa bed. My daughter said the blanket for the sofa bed wasn't very warm.

Hotel was in excellent location to get to NYC -- front desk told us not to take Taxi to the city, we took bus to Port Authority as suggested and it worked out great ! There is a nice breakfast area but if you go out the backdoors of hotel there is an awesome garden area with many restaurants and breakfast places.... The people were very nice, David at the restaurant was super friendly and nice and Xavier (always busy) was so polite and friendly. Would definitely come back!

The hotel was extremely clean. It was updated and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location was in a great location with numerous restaurants. All of the restaurants were delicious; the hotel's restaurant was too expensive and had a limited menu. The parking was not free but worth the $10 nightly fee considering the free parking lot across the street appeared sketchy.

We stayed for 4 days in the beginning of our trip & last 3 days of our trip Breakfast was included in our package , accept last 3 days, which was 12$ There are 5-6 restaurants nearby where we can easily get vegetarian food. Its highly recommended

I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the Secaucus train station, as we had to be at an event in NY early the next morning. The cost savings for staying in NJ versus NYC is definitely worth it. The hotel is right off the NJ Turnpike and located in the Harmon Meadows complex. The front desk for both check in and check out were friendly and efficient. The free parking is across the driveway and was a little concerning since the parking garage is under construction/renovation. However,... Read more

Nice hotel room and good breakfast. Lovely scenic neighborhood. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel so new york port authority is just 15/20 mins away. Buses run till late at night. Why spend a fortune staying in new york when one can stay here comfortably.

Staff would not give a bottle of water, just for sale. Price of water approximates price of beer. AC in the room looks like something that cane from previous century. Shower equipment is old too. WiFi is absolutely horrible. Good thing about this place is a pile of nice restaurants some 200 feet away. Otherwise, I would not recommend.

Clean, convenient, good value. We used IHG points to off-set the cost of our rooms. Staff was very helpful and we drove into NYC to pick up our daughter rather than try to take the train and then a cab to get her. Quite easy to use the Lincoln Tunnel at 9pm! We used the free courtesy van to the train station the next day and they picked us up at night. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Multiple chain-restaurants within walking distance (we passed on the oriental buffet). The restaurant was used ... Read more

If you are looking to stay close to NYC on a budget, this is a good choice. Holiday Inn has good hotels with good service and this is right next to NJ Transit bus stop that has bus 320 pass by, which will take you to Port Authority in NYC.

While the employees of the hotel were very nice, the hotel itself was very disappointing. 1. You had to pay for parking 2. The furniture was VERY worn and dated. The public areas have been updated, but not the rooms. 3. The AC was so loud that it was hard to sleep. 4. Even though we requested a standard room, we were given a handicap accessible room. Our closet was not tall enough to hang our clothes and while the room with the toilet and shower was large, the area with the sink was very... Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting New York, to avoid the sky high prices in Manhattan, and what a good decision it was, as the NJT bus link to the Port Authority Bus Terminal near Times Square was excellent, the bus stop is only 100 yards from the hotel with a ticket machine, and only cost me $1.95 as a senior and my daughter $4.25 and was exceptionally fast being under 30 minutes, the bus lanes work perfectly. Room was clean. Hotel offered a free shuttle to subway station, however, we found out on second day that a bus stop was right around the corner and you could get dropped off at Times Square. You can buy a bus pass at the stop. Buses run every 20 minutes or so. This was better for us because the hotel shuttle only runs until a certain time in the evening and if you are out past that time, you have to find alternate transportation to the hotel. The bus ride was about 10 minutes or so and the cost ... Read more

This Holiday Inn is among the best I have stayed at. It was classy without being stuffy. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean quite and comfortable. The free parking was slightly inconvenient; but, once your there you have no reason to drive anywhere as there are enough shops and restaurants within walking distance to satisfy all your needs.

Stayed for 2 nights a couple months ago. Loved it! All the staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable for the 4 of us (2 kids), and the bus to NYC was right around the corner. It was a quick 20 minute ride to Port Authority and then we could explore the city from there. It was great to have a cushy bus to ride on! I stayed for 4 nights with my boyfriend at this Holiday Inn in a regular room with a King Bed. Checking-in was great and the woman at the desk was full of energy and very welcoming. She answered all our questions and gave us the bus schedule and information about restaurants in the region. Very clean hotel. Very friendly staff who were happy to help you with anything. The buffet breakfast was good and the bar area was nice to sit and have a drink. Loved the big comfortable bed! Had a nice view of the New York skyline from my room on the 8th floor. There is a bus at the end of the road which takes you into NYC for just $4.25 each way, and it only takes 15-20 mins. The buses run pretty late too. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here on a weekend while in town to see a show. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel and immediate area was, especially because the price compared to other area hotels was really good, and especially as the outlying area is a bit questionable.
