First let me say that front office staff member Dorothy was absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Our first attempt at finding the NJ Transit bus (more later) was a disaster!! Supposedly close, it's not. Add rain and 45 minutes of searching added up to two very unhappy senior citizens. Dorothy to the rescue!!! Friendly, smiling and SO helpful. She even loaned us her umbrella. What a wonderful person!!!!! OK. The close bus stop...down a sidewalk, across the parking lot of an abandoned building, across a d... Read more

The hotel was better than average vs other properties, but about average for a Garden Inn. Close to NYC and generally easy getting into the city using the bus. My room was clean and breakfast was fine, but nothing special. I wouldn't honeymoon here!

Good to get off the road, easy to get to Secaucus Junction. Have to get used to getting access route 3 to find good variety of restaurants. Signs to reach this hotel are not easy to see and might be missed at night. During the day had to slow down on route 3 to find the entrance. Close to NYC and quite a savings for any event nearby.

The staff members were very nice, the room was clean. The location was a bit challenging in that you could see the building but not how to drive to it. Without the restaurant open, lunchtime was pushed to get meal in even with 1.5 hrs break.

Very accommodating, breakfast was expensive, the air conditioner to the room was so very loud all night long. But to tired to care. We did did not have a reservations but the staff made the extra effort to find us a room. We had traveled all day from Georgia for which it had rained the majority of the trip and just greatful for a place to sleep that was clean and safe.

One of the better ones to stay when you in Secaucus, NJ area. Already stayed like 4 times in this hotel. In a nutshell, I observed the following: - majority of staff is nice, friendly and really helpful - rooms are standard - clean and of regular size - free convenient parking right next to the hotel - NJ Transit bus stop in walking distance from the hotel (the bus can take you for 7$ (round trip) to Manhattan in just few minutes) - eating is more tricky one though - breakfast are pretty much c... Quick check-in , Helpful staff , Clean room . Breakfast is provided at reasonable rate. After lots of walking through the streets of Manhattan , Jacuzzi at the pool was heaven. Again clean towels are provided. Only problem was commute to NYC. Taking bus from Secaucus to NYC was fine as i was taking it in morning. While returning , i ended up paying uber $50 each night . If you are a group , this works as we were 3 couples.

We had 3 rooms for 3 nights and were overall very pleased. The rooms and as expected in a Hilton Garden Inn except for the mold on several areas on the wall in the bathroom. The pricing is very good for location and as advertised a 5 minute walk to the bus to the 42nd St. Bus terminal in NYC. One caveat is to expect to wait up to an hour on return if you plan on coming back late. We had a very good hotel experience. The only downside is you can not easily walk to any shops, as it's off the highway by itself. But there are many upsides. Breakfast was very good ($12:00) if it's not included in your room. Comfortable beds, clean room, hot jazuzzi and nice, smallish pool (both indoor). We took uber into NYC for $35. and about $47 out. Ask for a room facing away from the highway to avoid road noise. Nice lobby with long wooden table and grouping of chairs in an alcove around... Read more

I took my two sons to NYC for the weekend and chose this hotel based on other reviews. The biggest reason was walking access to bus and pool. I was not disappointed outside of my room view. Totally terrible experience that I'll never live through again because I'll never put myself in that situation. Dirty rooms, rudeness when you complain about a broken phone, tub, shower curtain, hair all over your drawers, no signal on most of the tv channels etc. The they tell you to suck it up because they "upgraded" you after the first two nights into a "junior suite" that felt even worse than my regular room. Unbelievable. Never again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hilton Garden, our preferred hotel brand. This one was just in an weird location. It is a little difficult get out onto the highway and you can easily miss your turn in as it is in the middle of a highway loop. If you miss the turn you will need to go back around the loop approx. 6-10 minutes to get back. This made it a little hard to get to nearby shops and food. This hotel is a great find. Prices are fare and it's location is unbeatable. The proximity to the bus pick up and drop off is good. We have stayed at this property multiple times in the past, and have usually enjoyed it. However this last trip (which compelled me to write this review), may have made me think twice staying here in the future. This is due mainly to service and value. The parking lot on the weekend was unacceptable. There is a club in front of the hotel and on weekends, ALL the hotel spaces... Read more

It's a quick bus ride into New York for customers who want to save money. The staff and amenities are great if you are just looking for a relatively simple place to stay! I was able to use the money I saved to make my New York trip more enjoyable. It was definitely worth it!

The room was priced right and in a reasonable location. My only concern was the room cleanliness the towels were not clean. The availability to access NYC was not bad at this location and was a simple bus route.

Spent the weekend in NYC and stayed out in Secaucus because it's just so much cheaper and it's a quick bus ride into the city. The location of the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the bus stop that has a bus that takes you directly to Port Authority for $14 round trip so it's convenient. The rooms were comfortable and clean enough and the Manager on Duty was on top of things. Just a couple of things stopped me from giving higher marks. The service at the restaurant was a bit rough...a lot of wa... Read more

If you plan to visit New York city, this is one good hotel you can stay in.There is a bus transit that shuttles netyork every 8mins. The only issue we had was there no sign to direct us to the hotel,we were so close but we didn't know which way to pass through.Unfortunately we got there at night so we didn't have anyone to ask. The hotel can help other wuld be occupant by creating visible signs from the bus stop to the hotel... In all,it is a lovely place to stay.

Great rooms, good location and good breakfast. Specially liked that breakfast is open till 11:00 and checkout at noon. Which is later some of the other hotels I stayed. Only gripe was with front desk who wasn't as welcoming and helpful compared to other places I stayed.

Not accommodating to guest or group for convention. Complimentary breakfast not available, on weekdays available at 7am however on weekend with many staying for convention no hot meals until 7:30am and at a silly price. So disappointed, never had this issue or lack of service

I stayed here for one night after a Giants game at Metlife. Very close to the stadium and a convenient place to stay if you're going to see a game or event there. The rooms are great- very spacious, with extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a beautifully appointed bathroom, a TV with all of the channels you could need, the A/C worked great, and the fact that there was a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge in the room was awesome. The lobby area was welcoming and had snacks and water avai... Read more

I attended an event at the Meadowlands Expo Center and this was affordable and nearby. There were restaurants in the area but it is a bit tricky to get around so follow your GPS carefully. You get to see the NYC skyline at night.

Nice comfortable stay with free parking. Easy Uber ride to Secaucus Junction or Newark Station. Clean rooms with modern upgraded style typical of Hilton Garden Inns. Very reasonable lodging price compared to others in the area. Very safe as secluded off the highway.

A great hotel but out of the way. It would be good if the buses stopped out front. Staff were great. Bed was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels. A nice smoking area, until the seats disappeared.

Besides the odd location this was a nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, fast Internet, plenty of parking, and overall a nice stay. Located in the middle of the Turnpike and between a few other interchanges I expected noise and more. However it was plenty quiet and I found the location easy to access the various roads from the location. Recommend

It took a bit to get there given a number of wrong turns. Signs are abundant, but not enough. The room is very big, but a bit worn out. Bathroom is huge, but looks like an hospital bathroom. Room 222 is close to the elevators, and you definitely hear them going. Try to avoid room 222. WiFi is fast. Plenty of power outlets to recharge all your devices. Good for business use. But overall, the look and feel is a bit depressing.

If you are looking for a place to stay on your visit to NYC without the mid-town price, this is it. We have stayed here twice. It is a short bus trip thru the Lincoln Tunnel to the Port Authority bus terminal.

Clean hotel, room, and lobby, but breakfast was not free. $12.00 is too much for the breakfast that was available. The location to the Meadowlands Expo was convenient. They forgot to change/clean my room one of the two days that I was there.

Zoey is not fit for her role as a Front Desk Associate, as she spoke with improper slang and strong attitude, she also had no helpful information when asked. William Crossett made us question the trustworthiness of the people who hire our figures of authority. The lamps were dusty, the cups in the lobby were never restocked. I loved the beds!!

Stayed in September 2016. Positives: - Great location - Good quality of rooms, beds - Breakfast is good, you have to pay extra. Has a reasonable variety to start your day Negatives: Quality of staff at reception desk is mediocre. Swiped my card twice. Acknowledged mistake, but has taken time till date of writing this review to credit the amount. Have called twice from India, and over 5 emails to get this sorted. But Bill Crossett and his team are lackadaisical in addressing. Take at least 2 ... Read more
