The service we received from the Westin Forrestal has won our business for life. If we're ever near Princeton, this is where we'll be staying. Everyone is so friendly, and really try to make your stay comfortable. We booked the indulge package with Sparkling wine, chocolate dipped strawberries on arrival and the strawberries were scrumptious. The first night we ate in the bar because we got in late, and the young bartender was so fun and attentive without being intrusive. The wings were delicio... Read more

I went there for my niece's wedding. It was plainly the most amazing wedding I have ever been to. The staff simply didn't know the word "no" The rooms were exactly what I expected. There weren't many surprises here, but The only ones here were pleasant.

We hadn't planned on stopping until arriving at our destination. However, when searching for a hotel in this area because of the late hour, the Westin popped up. What a pleasant surprise! The staff is warm and welcoming. When they heard we'd just gotten married, they threw in a few perks! They went out of our way to accommodate us at meals, which were delicious. The hotel is also extremely clean and comfortable. There are some shops just outside the hotel and the park like setting offered... Read more

Hotel was clean and very comfy. I got a very quiet room at the end of a hallway, even though there were a couple of large events the same night of my stay. I loved that fact that they made me feel welcome with my (very well behaved) dog. Some hotels claim to be "pet friendly" but then treat you like a leper by placing you in the less desirable rooms and/ or charging an outrageous fee. They even brought up a Heavenly doggie bed, and a set of dog bowls and a placemat. Lots of outlets and USB... Read more

We stay in Westins fairly frequently, and this one measures up to Starwood's high standards for reliability and comfort. An enjoyable stay. However, each Westin seems to have a little local character. In this case there were no ice machines in the hotel. Good for noise reduction, but I spent quite a bit of time searching the corridors before I discovered that a call to the desk will produce a bucket of ice delivered very promptly. Also, only plastic, not glass, tumblers were in the room. Small p... Read more

We have stayed at Starwood properties all over the country, this one is pretty average....very clean and very comfortable beds. Great staff at checkin. The location is much more suitable to business travelers so if you want to visit the university and downtown shops and restaurants, stay downtown.

This is a modest Westin, average for US, but lower than typical expectations of European or Asiatic travellers that are familiar with the brand. PROs: kind people, fine outdoor courtyard, large parking lot with back-entrance. CONs: there's no touch of high end, although everything has a pleasant and fresh appearance. Basic rooms: the bathroom reveals the dated structure, renovated but old in concept.

I am a frequent Westin guest. We stayed at the Princeton Westin for three days in order to attend a graduation. It was an unfortunate experience. While the front desk staff are well meaning, the rooms and furnishings are shabby and the housekeeping (rooms, public areas, gym) inadequate. Much more seriously, when we first entered our room, we discovered that someone else was already staying in it. Lastly, our key card kept failing and had to be reloaded at least every few hours.

Front desk staff is awful. Same girl for check in and check out. Didn't smile, didn't make any attempt to upgrade for Gold (just lost Platinum), forgot welcome amenity, was just not friendly and showed zero appreciation for customers. Same deal at check out. Bar staff also were miserable and showed zero interest in service or even smiling. Obviously something is wrong at this property as I've never seen a Starwood property with such miserable employees. Room and property were typical but ... Read more

This was my first stay in Princeton and I was in town for 1 night to meet a client. The hotel is in a nice area with some restaurants close by within walking distance from the hotel. The area is very charming and relaxing. The hotel is small but modern and has all the standard Westin amenities. Since it??s a suburban location there is a nice outdoor space connected to the hotel as well as large free parking. The lobby was comfortable to work in as I was waiting for my room to be ready that ... Read more

I stayed over the weekend at this hotel. The reception staff was friendly and the room clean. In the morning, I Had to continue traveling and calculated 60-90 minutes for breakfast. In normal circumstances it would have been fine, but not in this place The staff was friendly but clearly they had a problem..., after 30-45 minutes we only had coffee and upon asking the server how long would it take, the poor man looked down and could not really tell because "the kitchen was backed up". Booked this hotel last minute as a stop on the drive from NC to Boston. Arrived in the middle of the night and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! Had a couple of issues with the first room that were dealt with very quickly by the staff. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. We had been given complimentary room service for breakfast, which was so appreciated. The food was delivered quickly and everything was as ordered and hot. The room service a... Read more

I'd probably give this a 3.5 if I could. The lobby is lovely but the rooms are just ok. The carpets need updating but the room had all the basics. It would have been nice to have had a microwave. The flatscreen tv is huge. There was a fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning so there was a lot of confusion. No announcement was made once everyone was assembled outside. We were outside for about a half hour and upon going back in, no one really was directing the hundreds of people where to go. Rumor is ... Read more

I find all the reviews of hotels very helpful so this is why I take the time to write about my experiences. This hotel is okay. The area is nice. Downtown Princeton and Princeton University are a 5 minutes away (very easy drive). Downtown Princeton is really nice. The hotel sits off route 1 and there is a ton of stuff around the area (movie theater, Wegmans, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Princeton Market Fair Mall with a ton of places to eat. The grounds of the hotel are very nice and well taken... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night and almost checked out early. Pool is full of families who rent one room for the weekend and invite 20-30 of their family to join them. They are bullies who reserve all the seats all day and scream at you if you take an empty seat. It's like a gang. I called spg to complain... This is not a town pool. And the front desk was rude and I waited at empty host stand in an empty restaurant at lunchtime ... Gave up and went to Palmer square. If you want a relaxing weekend this i... Read more

Here for a family wedding. Almost didn't get a room on the same floor as family, let alone nearby even though I had requested this in advance. Great hotel for an Indian wedding, large reception area with separate entrance, also had large meeting rooms available for gathering. Coffee maker and fridge in rooms. However it was the customer service that was lacking, it took 3 calls and 30 minutes to get a bath towel sent to the room. I was told by the attendant that the hotel didn't have many to... Read more

The hotel has good facilities and service. Ample room and bathroom, even with an ironing board. There is a shuttle that brings you to Princeton. Not much to do in the near areas, though: a few restaurants and that's it.

I expected more from the hotel. The lobby leaves you with the impression that rooms will be modern and equipped with modern technology but they are not. There are no usb ports and the wifi service was spotty. I was surprised being that the hotel is located in a corporate park. Seems like this hotel is more of a place to stay at if you are attending a wedding or banquet. I did enjoy visiting the shops adjacent to the hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights for a meeting held at the hotel. Conference facilities were actually very good. The bedrooms though were not up to the usual standard expected of a Westin so I was rather disappointed. The smell of damp and mildew in the hallways and room was overpowering. Shower was over the bath and was challenging when the water didn't drain at all well so by the end of a 5 minute shower the water was halfway up the bath. On the upside the beds were fine and the room was quiet. Servi... Read more

This property is in need of an upgrade. The staff was excellent and accommodating however it just wasn't up to par with condensation in the hallway ceilings, and the room air conditioner was barely adequate. As I said, the staff was excellent, the property just needs some work.

Visited westin Princeton at forrestal village last week. The first minute we walked in(before check in) the front desk manager/clerk raised his voice about a hot tray I had with my luggage. He said it's unacceptable to have in room and need to take it back to car right away. Why couldn't he say nicely that it's hotel policy and would appreciate if not taken to room. I'm just human and how shall I know that this hotel doesn't allow it. The last night of my stay I got 2 phony calls at 3:20 AM wh... Read more

The carpets throughout the hotel are stained. My room smells of mold and the windows won't open. The walls are paper thin. The valve in the tub only lets you turn the shower on halfway. The fixtures and the signs are crooked. Nice staff only goes so far. Disappointing low for this brand.

My visit was restricted due to the event that was being held. The lobby was full, the restaurant did not have staff available to greet or seat any one. The bar was filled with the guest of the event so there was no room for anyone else. I understand events bring a great deal of business but this was a very large party and lobby areas were reserved for the party. How is this fair to other guest who paid to enjoy the same amenities. The furnishing of the lobby were nice but that is where luxury... Read more

Wasn't looking for an adventure, just a comfortable business hotel and this certainly worked great. Good location, quiet area and exactly what you'd expect from a Westin, even if it seemed a bit dated. Clean and well maintained with a very helpful staff.

Just stayed here for 1 night while passing through town. The property looked nice from the outside, but inside it was completely run down and poorly maintained. My room was dirty with dust balls and spider web, dead bugs by the window sill. Desk and table covered with dust. Carpets and some of the towels were stained. Service-wise, I had to remind the front desk who checked me in that my rate includes breakfast and I should have a breakfast coupon. I arrived late and wanted lunch but the rest... Read more
