We made arrangements to dog sit for family in Princeton while they traveled to China so we had a one night stay in April and a three night stay in May. Because we had the use of a car for most of the time, we frequently use the shuttle for the last 3 days of our stay and were able to get everywhere we needed to go using the scheduled shuttle runs. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel and made that choice over many other options in Princeton. We managed to arrive during a large fami... Read more

Staff at this Hilton cannot be more friendly and helpful. When you've been travelling loads or on a business trip, there is nothing nicer than seeing friendly, genuine faces. I've stayed at this Hilton for business trips for over two years now. It's a little out of town in Princeton, but the service makes it perfect. Just last week, as I was tired, I left my wash bag and glasses in my room. Two days later I phoned and John/Kevin located my property and fed exed it to me in an hour no questio... Read more

With welcoming and helpful reception staff, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms, free parking and a hotel shuttle service this hotel is my 1st choice in the Princeton area. Buffet breakfast has many choices - eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast or pancakes, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juice, bagels, muffins etc, tea and coffee.

During a business trip a colleague and I stayed for two nights. The room was okay. There were some little things that could have been taken care of-missing a light bulb, showerhead not fully working, tv remote only worked half the time. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but expensive. The room was relatively clean and inviting when we walked in.

Nice hotel with a bar, friendly/helpful staff, pool and above average gym. To make things even better, they provide warm chocolate chip cookies upon request. The hotel is inexpensive and would probably fit into the 'budget hotel' category. The walls are thin and when we stayed there was a lot of noise--slamming of doors, people in the corridors at 4am talking loudly. The walls are an awful mustard yellow color and the place definitely needs modernization. It's on Route 1 which means there really isn't anything nearby and the village and university require a car to access. Otherwise, it is adequate and certainly not overpriced.

People at reception are friendly and helpful. I was given a room close to highway which was very noisy during the night and someone helped me change to a quite room. Food is so so..it took almost 1 hour for our pizza coming to the table..and breakfast buffet is pricey. I lost one of my tops in the hotel room and my coworker in another room of the same floor lost a sweater cardigan during our stay. We never lost anything in a hotel room before. This is not good and we hope the hotel can help us g... Read more

I recently stayed at this Double Tree and was very happy with the room and the bed. Additionally, the water pressure for the shower was strong and definitely much better than some others I have stayed in other locations. With this hotel being right on route 1, it's very convenient for travelers staying in the area for a week or even just a single night. If I am in the area again, I would consider staying here again.

I must really be an American, because I loved this hotel. A suite hotel with two rooms, in-room coffeemaker, in-room ironing board, microwave and big screen television. A pool, a fitness center, free transportation to town or back to the train station when I left. Friendly staff, quiet room with lots of plush furniture, a safe, internet problem-free. Even a pool and a fitness center. You almost have to have a car to stay there, because there are no sidewalks and everything is anyway several mil... Read more

The location is better than some of the other hotels in this area because you can exit the parking lot onto US Route 1 to go either direction. Everything else (room, front desk service, etc.) was solid.

I've stained here several times over the past few months. The rooms are always clean and quiet. The hotel staff is fabulous and very accommodating as I have a service dog. The only issue I've had here is the WiFi is slower than low, however, if you have good data plan with Verizon you can stream movies or video chat with family and friends that way. Otherwise you will wait a forever to get a good connection . Safe Travels and God Bless, Rev. Tomlin, PhD

It was a bit unmade and a little unkept but it was quiet. I can tell when housekeeping doesn't change the sheets or washes the tub. Then I have to skip a shower and pull the bed apart, which defeats the purpose of paying for the service not provided. When sheets are changed and bathrooms are cleans, you aren't supposed to find the last person hair everywhere.

This visit was my third stay and it was as excellent as ever. This establishment consistently provides the finest customer service we've ever seen. Every employee (from management to the front desk to housekeeping) seems to care, and they all provide excellent service. On my September visit, our room was super clean, as always. The coffee bar in the room was restocked daily, and the sparkling clean shuttle picked us up from the train station right on time. We'll definitely be back, and we will a... Read more

I was disappointed in the level of service for what I thought was a better quality hotel. We booked through trip advisor/booking.com and the desk clerk told us that our Hilton Honors status meant nothing because we booked through a third party. The second night of our stay our room wasn't serviced because we didn't go out until after noon. Breakfast is not complimentary and the only option without driving five miles is their $15.95 +tax buffet which appeared to be exactly as the previous reviews... Read more

Nothing fancy here, but this is a nice hotel in a good location. Just refurbished, the rooms are large and nice. Check the boxes on my big five: cool, dark, quiet, comfortable, and clean. Decent exec lounge, too. Affordable. Good service. Recommended.

We went to Princeton for a wedding downtown. The hotel is great, but without any particular charm. Renting a car is not necessary because Uber and Lyft work great, otherwise you cannot walk anywhere because it is literally in the middle of US1.

I had a very unpleasant experience. You were doing repairs at the floor where I was staying, everything was messy and the smell of paint was very strong. The day of my departure, I left my shoes in the room. When I returned to pick them up, later on the same day, they hotel personnel was not able to give me my shoes because they were in a locked room and no one in the hotel had keys to open that room. Unbelievable!. The next day I was called by a person extremely rude on the phone who gave his n... Read more

We received our water bottles and cookies at registration. Because we were waiting for awhile, manager came out and gave us a free drink ticket which was nice. However, we had booked the executive level for a Friday night and there was time the club was open although we had paid for it. Good value for the cost. The room was dated but they were remodeling the floor we were on. We were not inconvenienced at all and the staff were 5 Star. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. There were other restaurants in the area but not any fast food places after 10:00pm.

I've never stayed in a Doubletree before. So it was a pleasant surprise when we were given a couple of warm chocolate chip cookies upon check in. But up in the room, when I bit into one, I was unpleasantly surprised to find walnuts in it. Who does that? First of all, the nuts ruined the cookie. More important, lots of folks have nut allergies, so why put people at risk like this? The desk clerk did not even warn us that there were nuts in the cookies, she said they were chocolate chip, an... Read more

Hotel staff were extremely helpful with check-in and check-out procedures. The digital key was a nice added touch as well as being able to choose our room ahead of time. Hotel room does seem a little out-dated and the bathroom is small but those things weren't necessities on our trip. Bed is comfy with plenty of pillows. The warm cookies at check-in are an extra added bonus. Great price. Great stay. Walls are a little thin but had no troubles sleeping during our stay. Thanks again!

Nice property and very easy to get to. Check in was very easy and front-desk staff was welcoming. Room was a good size, clean and beds comfy. Bring your own pillow. These pillows were too soft and was not worth waiting for a replacement. I was glad the breakfast buffet was included in our rate. If not, $15.95 is an outrageous change. The eggs were warm, not hot and the other hot items were just ok. Would stay there again, but will avoid the breakfast buffet

Easy check in and check out, friendly staff. Interior of the hotel is well done, though simple. Could possibly have a small 24x7 caf├ę. The only issue was that early morning the noise from the cars crossing near the hotel was loud. Improved sound proofing would be helpful. Close to most offices and lots of parking space if driving in your own car. Tuck shop has limited stuff available.
