I happened to get a great deal on Hotwire when looking for a place to stay for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was going to my daughters for dinner and only staying 1 night by myself. I arrived early for the normal 4 PM check-in but the front desk was friendly and accommodating. When turning off a tertiary road it appeared to be more college campus or spread out office park/think tank campus. The hotel was more condo like than hotel style. My room was clean, comfortable, and very pleasant unlike the... Read more

This is a first rate place for numerous reasons. The setting is very special for many reasons. The rooms & sleeping accommodations are clean, spacious, and quiet at all hours. The fitness center and pool areas have been redone to a quality level. The restaurant is fabulous and the selections are incredible.

The Chauncey Hotel is in a nice and quiet location, however, there is not much around it if you want to go out to eat. It's in a very quiet and scenic location with many deer around. If you want to go for food, it's a least a 10 minute drive to anywhere. The hotel was under construction while I was there. Also, the cleaning ladies were extremely noisy in the hallways and you could hear everything they were saying like they were right next to you. The fitness center is quite nice and has new... this is an excellent location with lots of green space surrounding the property. Brunch was wonderful with lots of choices. It is located close to the city but is off the beaten track. It is nice to sit by the lake and relax.

I have attended 2 events here in the past few months. The conference center is nicely run and the options for space for receptions/activities is nice. Grounds allow for open air breaks. Staff is engaging and helpful.

I recently stayed here with my family. My husband and 4 children. When we booked the room it was suggested that we get two rooms that were joined. We had plenty of space which is unusual for us when we travel. The pool was amazing and not busy which was also great for us. They even have a great gym. The complimentary breakfast was delicious which included an omelet station and lox and bagels. I had stayed at Chauncey before the renovation and enjoyed great service, but now with the pool we ar... It was a family reunion that brought us here. The amenities were nice, rooms all different sizes but most spacious. Breakfast was ok, eggs were pretty bad. Kids enjoyed the pool and the grounds were beautiful.

Touring Princeton University brought us to Chauncey. We are pleasantly surprised by this hotel for the price. Room is very spacious. Amenities are nice. It has a country club setting. The ground around the hotel is very well-kept. I jogged along the paved "trails" in the morning; nice. Chauncey is quiet and away from town, but it's only 15 minutes to Princeton. It is good for family gatherings, class re-union or events. The staff is friendly. The one strike I can think of is that the ... Read more

I booked same day via trip advisor. when I arrived I was told the pool had been under repair for a week and was not available until 7 am the next morning. while annoying as I'd have like to go for a swim and a pool was my main criteria for choosing a hotel but waiting until morning was not too inconvenient. the gentleman that checked me in was extremely nice. He upgraded me from my king "murphy style" bed which he informed me was low to the floor (trip advisor did not clarify this when I boo... Read more

A Beautiful setting for a resort hotel- nestled amongst 300+ mostly natural acres of land, the Chauncey is a handsome, non-imposing hotel that kinda has that Spa resort/Ski Lodge hotel look & feel to it. The grounds surrounding the hotel are pristinely beautiful. Owned & operated by ETS, the hotel is very well maintained. It was not terribly crowded on the weekend I was there, maybe why I was able to get an excellent rate online. They have business conferences going on daily but you would not no... Read more

The hotel is in a beautiful compound, surrounded by terraces opening into a green landscape, a nice pool and an ok bar. All pleasant but bit out of date. It is also close to town. We had a great breakfast at big communal round tables getting to know some of our fellow travelers. The waiters were very helpful and nice. Overall a nice stay until we met a huge cockroach in our bathroom...

This place was fabulous! The hotel and property is beautiful! Surrounded by beautifully manicured trees and flowers you feel completely relaxed like your at a top level resort. The people at the hotel go out of their way to make you feel like a VIP. My son enjoyed fishing at the lake and one of the managers gave him a special lure and a new hook. He was thrilled and so were we. The room was clean, nice and quiet. We had come late to the buffet breakfast one day (we thought it ended at a ... Read more

While visiting the area recently my wife and I decided to stay here rather than in Princeton due to the countryside setting of the facility. The hotel is situated on the grounds of the Educational Testing Service. There are several office buildings, a small lake, a gazebo, many, many deer, as well as lots of open space for the grandkids to wander around. We stayed in a room that included a king size bed and a sleep sofa. The room had plenty of space and it was on the first floor so we were a... Read more

I was at the Center for just one night, but the facilities are beautiful and charming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food quite good. I recommend the black bean burger and the ginger creme bruile dessert.

I don't think that a lot of people realize that the restaurant in the Chauncey Conference center is now open to the public. (Call ahead since they do host weddings and other special events) There are no noisy highways, or even noisy major roads near this Hotel. It's like staying at a Ski Lodge, the ambiance is stunning. Large Stone Walls with Huge Fireplaces all over. The Rooms are lovely and the service is perfect, if you are traveling to NJ from another state or even another part of this state... Read more

Our family, the mother, daughter, two sons, nephews and niece booked 6 rooms for Thanksgiving Holiday, Everyone loved it. They thought is was a Resort ! ( suggest it should be promoted as such), very quiet and low key. Very clean and great rooms(online pictures don't do it justice). The new Pool is phenomenal. Thanks to Paul(director) helped set up the accommodations so we were close together and on first floor and near pool for mother and the kids. Thanks to Matt and Marsha at front desk to che...
