Looks like the Element is part of an urban renewal project for an old, old neighborhood. Hotel is new with lovely rooms containing a full sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and 2 burner stove. Nice indoor pool that is a little small, but works. Nice exercise room. Mediocre breakfast heavy on carbohydrates, but there is also yogurt and oatmeal on the menu. Just across the street is a new apartment building with several fast food restaurants.

You get everything in one place. Stayed here for a sales meeting with a small group. First time we utilized an Element property. The staff and service was great, food service for our meeting was very good. Nice variety at the free breakfast (they need to have bananas though). Neighborhood being revitalized and many new places are close by. Path train adjacent to hotel, super easy access to NYC. Rooms are well designed, plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked for one night during a stop over at Newark airport. The hotel room was modern and clean. Extra bonus for the mini kitchen set up as well. Hotel is in a transitioning neighborhood and within a black you can find a donut shop, deli and burgers. It's also a three minute walk to train station. Only tricky part was the shuttle pick up from the airport. As I was arriving at Newark on an 8 am Sunday morning. flight,, I called the front desk and booked ahead. I've never had an experience like this. Imagine arriving at Newark Airport after a long cross-country flight and calling for the hotel shuttle only to be told that it isn't available because reservations are required. What??! This certainly isn't clear from the hotel's website, nor is it mentioned on the popular booking sites. The hotel is just a few miles from the airport but it might as well be on the moon. Off to a bad start! Traveling from the airport to the hotel was accomplished by taking ... Read more

This is a new hotel in Harrison, which will eventually be the next Hoboken. Its best asset is that it is new and has a good staff and that it is adjacent to a the PATH train, which takes you right to The World Trade Center in about 3 stops. When NYC is sold out come here. When you fly United, come here because even though it says NYC they fly out of Newark. I've stayed here a total of 3+ non-consecutive weeks and I will be back.

Stayed here for the TD Bike Tour with my cousins. More cost effective than staying in NYC. This hotel has kitchenette, indoor heated pool, gym, laundry, comparable to timeshares. Restaurants within walking distance. They have an airport shuttle, but must be arrange with the front desk, I had no troubles with it.

I've not stayed in an Element previously and was pleasantly surprised. What a great and functional place! All the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are magnificent and hotel quiet. Yes, the Path Train and commuter trains pass close to the hotel but I noticed no additional noise. In fact I found it soothing. There is a bar with a limited menu in the hotel and a small refreshing pool. There is a Five Guys and a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance. The studio room... Read more

What a great option for NYC and North Jersey! I could not have found Harrison on a map before staying here for a family event. Everything was easy - parking, access to the PATH station, quick drive to other spots in NJ - and the hotel itself and staff were terrific. We enjoyed the hotel bar as well. Highly recommended.

Decent Hotel, not very fancy. Breakfast spread , choice and space limited. No room service. Car park area attached to Hotel, hence convenient. Rooms are small with low ceiling. The room we stayed in had a small Kitchenette , useful in case you are planning to cook or bring food from outside.

I was a bit worried to book a room in Harrison NJ as it is not in the greatest area but I am glad I have it a shot. The rooms are just as pictured and full of the, filtered water, comfy bed, awesome couch with a pull out of needed, morning hot breakfast, kind staff, lounge, bar, pool, and many more. They provided a crib for our baby and we were able to check in at 11:30am. The hotel is on the same block as the PATH train which made it easy for our family to get to NYC for th... Read more

Top floors have views. Bar food is great! Had the Vegetarian Chili one night and the grilled cheese and tomato soup the next. Staff was great. Has a pool. Will def stay here again. Highly recommend.

I chose to stay here because I was traveling from a distance and had to fly out of EWR in the morning. While the stay was far from terrible, I found no particular reason to come back here again either. Some observations: 1) The person who checked me in failed to tell me there was a free breakfast buffet in the morning. And because I didn't know, I didn't leave sufficient time to enjoy it before I had to go to the airport. 2) Parking is $18. 3) This is the first time staying in an Element. The l... Read more

I had one night layover in Newark and stays at this hotel. The room was big, bathroom really nice, had a little kitchen; everything was new modern and clean. They also have a free shuttle to the airport and it is 10 min away. They have free appetizers for happy hour and one free drink per guest. It has an indoor pool. The water was a little bit cold in my opinion but overall it was a nice stay!

We had a great stay! We picked this hotel for our first trip to NYC - very convenient location to the PATH train, which takes you directly to WTC. We arrived back late most evenings, and never felt uncomfortable in the area, as some reviewers mentioned. The hotel is very modern, with very clean rooms and the most comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly, as well. We were given a free upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. We hope to return in the future.

Staying here at the Element Harrison has made my vacation/holiday so enjoyable, that I don't want to leave. Staying in room 402 which is a studio with 2 queen beds. My concern was, would there. Loved this place. New hotel, amazing shower, great coffee. Breakfast was awesome, as well as the happy hour hordevors. Close to the PATH transit. We brought friends from the UK and they loved it as well. Only concern was the air condition vent, which if you were on the bed straight across from it, you got blasted with cold air all night! Otherwise it was and awesome place and would recommend it to friends and family.
