Everything about this hotel is dated besides the lobby. I entered my room to a musty sort of smell. The bed was very comfortable and I did get a good nights sleep. The service I received with everyone I encountered was pleasant. The hotel was full of professionals and a decent clientele. Overall I wasn't wowed and think this in an average hotel.

8 minutes from the airport. Shuttle leaves the hotel on the hour and half hour. Nice little bar and Starbucks in Lobby. Nice food menu in case you dont want to go out to eat. Very friendly people. Left car on lot when we traveled ($15/day fee) in a gate restricted area. Would definitely use again when flying out of Newark.

this hotel is great. I liked the fact that you have to have a room key to get up on any of the floors. The part of town isn't great, but the hotel is worth the stay. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. I would so stay here again

I stayed for only 1 night arriving at midnight after a 15 hours flight. As a solo female traveller I am always vigilant with the surrounding & I check all the windows & door locks before I go to bed. This hotel's balcony door just wouldn't lock, I called the front desk they told me to put a stick as a ledge on the door track. As Newark is infamous for its safety & I was very upset that they didn't even inform me when I checked in. I didn't know where I can find the stick & finally they sent some... Read more

Poor service at Bistro Bar/Restaurant. Server "You want something to eat?" Me - "Do you have a menu?" Her, "It's over there". I would never stay at CY except for business, but I have always liked Courtyard's individual TVs in their booths. But none of them are working "Oh, it's been that way for awhile, no biggie". Uh, yes, it is a biggie. That's your brand!!!!

It didn't matter what directions we used we could not get directly to,the hotel ! We talked to several other people staying there and they all said the same thing! It is a very nice hotel but I doubt we will stay there again when going to the airport! Also the shuttle driver was not very nice we were told if we were leaving really early for the airport the chances of our getting dropped off right at the airport were good because there would be no traffic, there was do traffic and only 3 people g... The location for quickness to the airport is great. Hotel itself is pretty great in quality. However there is NOTHING in walking distance, no convenience stores, nothing. So when your there your stuck. The bar/restaurant is only open until 10pm which is pretty pathetic considering you can't go anywhere else. So if you don't get antsy like I do, it's probably ideal for your stay :/

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Pool and spa is perfect for families. Close to airport or for day trip into New York City. Would recommend upper floors away from meeting rooms even though the first floor has easier access to the swimming pool. Would stay here again.

Everything was clean and Rafael at the front desk was super nice! The manager ( I don't remember her name) was also really nice and helpful). They both gave suggestions when asked and Rafael went out of his way to help me get travel information. Would definitely stay again! Only way they could improve would be to offer free breakfast ???

We stayed pre flight. Everyone was great, especially the lady working in the restaurant. She was very busy but always had a smile and conversation with everyone at the counter. Nice outside courtyard to enjoy a drink. Very close to airport but noise never bothered us. The shuttle drivers we had were all great. I would stay again if needed for travel plans.

We wanted to brake up our flight to Europe so we stayed at this hotel for a night. The hotel looks very close to the terminal on the map, but in reality the shuttle need to go practically around the airport on service roads. When we landed in the domestic terminal we needed to take the train to another terminal to take the shuttle. Once in the hotel, there is no way to go anywhere, since it is surrounded by high speed roads and barbed wire. The restaurant/bar is very small and the menu is limite... Read more

We arrived late evening and were able to take the shuttle service to the hotel. Although it looks close to the terminal - it really isn't. We were disappointed that there were no restaurant options and even the limited bar selection was closing as we arrived. Our room was well appointed as has been our experience with this brand of Marriott. The hotel shuttle was prompt in getting us back to the airport so we could catch the bus and then train in to the city. I would stay here again - but I'd ma... Read more

Consistant Marriott quality. Comfortable, quiet location & very clean. Restaurant selection was good as were the two entrees we had. Airport shuttle ran promptly every half hour, a 10 minute ride. Fast Wifi. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Thought the air conditioner was a bit noisy and the parking fee a little steep however it wouldn't stop me from staying there again. Overall a good stay for one night.

We stayed at his hotel for 1 night on our way overseas. We arrived late, so we had to order from the takeout menu. The hotel is not around any restaurants, but they have a lot of takeout places that will deliver. They have a very helpful staff, They also have a laundry on the ground floor. The front desk has free dryer sheets if you need them. The room was very clean and quiet. The hotel shuttle will take you to the newark airport where you can get the mall shuttle. I would say you need an hour ... Read more

We had a flight cancellation and needed a hotel close the airport. This served the purpose, free shuttle to/from airport, clean room. Personnel were friendly. Hotel is a little dated, small restaurant that closes at 10am. It was all we needed for one night.

my family stayed at this hotel recently. The rooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Staff at reception was very nice and helpful. We needed reservations in the area and receptionist was very helpful in providing them. I would recommend this hotel as it is convenient to Newark Airport.

Stayed here for one night when me flight out of Newark was cancelled. Hotel shuttle was very convenient. You can catch it on stop PS4 from the Air Train. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and unusually quiet given the proximity to the airport. Might be because I had a room facing the courtyard. Only draw back was they didn't have deodorant available for a stranded traveler. They supplied all the other necessities though. Even allowed me to check out late so I was abl... Read more

This is a hotel that is not glamorous at all, but the staff was friendly, the bed slept well and there were no surprises. The rate was average. Make sure to ask them for the shuttle to the Spanish restaurant. Great food.

Nice hotel close to the airport. If you are arriving at EWR airport, this hotel is a good alternative to be quickly in your room after landing. Rooms are spacious and clean, and there is a free shuttle every half an hour. For swimmers there is a tiny outdoor pool.

This was our 2nd Park & Fly stay here. There is nothing really stand-out about this hotel, but it somehow has everything you need. Comfy beds, clean rooms, a lobby bistro restaurant with great food & drink, a pool & hot tub, fitness center, laundry facilities, small snack shop off the lobby, and included transportation to the airport 24/7. I read the review below warning others about their experience with a car break-in during their Park & Fly stay, and I was concerned. However, we (thankfu... Read more

Chose this Courtyard as it is close to the airport and the Liberty cruise port. Reliable for a Courtyard. Clean room, comfortable bed and delicious free cookies. Also has a free shuttle to and from the airport.

Hotels near airports face unique challenges, but this one is good for this type of hotel. Breakfast and dinner were good for the genre, the room was clean and bigger than expected, the bed was comfortable, it had reasonable amenities, and the manager who checked me in was very friendly and efficient. The courtesy van was efficient, and the driver was polite and professional. I would stay here again if in the area.

I use the Courtyard by Marriott Newark Intl Airport (Hwy 1&9) for business travel extensively. They provide me with a fair rate, a clean room, on-time airport shuttle service, and a friendly attitude with every stay. Rooms are clean and in good shape, and the hotel is quiet. It's precisely what I need. If this place had a full restaurant rather than the bistro a la carte setup, this would be a 5. The bistro is good...bottled beer a bit pricey (they charge draft prices for bottles.).

We did not stay here, but at the Fairfield Inn & Suites next door. The Bistro was the only eatery available within walking distance and the recommendation by Fairfield. Menu choices were limited. Prices above average. Orders are placed at the bar and delivered to the table by a server. Other than that, it is self-service for beverages, tableware, etc. Food was satisfactory and probably okay for a lunch. However, travelers wanting a more substantial dinner would likely be disappointed.

We stayed here for just one night only to sleep. My frustration lies in two places, one being the pizza at the hotel Bistro, the other being issues with refunding my deposit. I was told the $50 deposit would be back 3-5 business days after checkout. It has been 6 whole days since we checked out and still no refund yet. I stayed here on my way to Mexico. Leaving from Newark airport, this was a perfect location. The gentleman I believe his name was Jean, was great! Very helpful and accommodating! The gym was lackluster and the rooms definitely could use a favelift! Though housekeeping did the best they could do, the rooms ceiling was crumbling, and room had a moldy smell. Some minor things like that engineering should easily be able to fix in order to enhance the guests experience.
