Was worried a bit at booking based on reviews here but was surprised at a better result. Staff is friendly at check-in. Room was clean ad tidy. Bed was comfy. No major cleanliness issues. Towels and bathroom supplies were present and nice. Only downside is it is an older property. It they keep it up pretty nicely. New carpeting and bathroom remodel would go a long way. Also comes with free parking. Many hotels are charging 10-20 dollars for parking.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and we were arriving late at night and leaving for a cruise from Cape Liberty the next morning. The rooms were fine but the customer service was not. The hotel offers a shuttle from the EWR airport but couldn't tell us where to find it. We called from the aiport and the hotel didn't answer the phone. We took a cab to the hotel and arrived at 1am. We then had to stand in line for over a half hour waiting to check in. The hotel is older than some, but it was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly to everyone that I noticed. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, we didn't want for anything. The only down side was waiting way too long for the shuttle to arrive, almost an hour after we had to contact them over the phone. Many of their guests waited together laughing off our frustration. Maybe it was just a busy night. After that hiccup, things went smooth. They have a great restaurant area and local ... Read more

Every experience I have had at a Wyndham Property has been great with no complaints... except this one. The front desk person that checked us in was not friendly at all. She checked the person in front of us in & then left the desk for about 3 minutes before she came back. She never mentioned she would be right with us or anything... just walked off. When she came back to check us in she didn't apologize for the wait or say anything at all. There isn't any air conditioning in the elevators or ... Read more

Poor entry for a Wyndham, low customer service. Even the clock on the wall that show different time zones are wrong. Looks less than a star hotel. Got to my room, it was not bad. Got to bed and omg. The mattress is badddddddddddd. I touched it and it had spring that you almost see coming out and a piece of wood on the top. I was in a 2 bed double room, both bed were the same. Couldn't wait to leave. Bad choice. Stay away.

I didn't realize until I got there that I had previously stayed at this hotel and instantly regretted that decision. It's great for its proximity to the airport and downtown Newark as well as IKEA, all locations we needed to get to that day and the day after. Unfortunately our welcome was less than satisfactory -as were the conditions of the room. We were received with nonchalance by the to front desk receptionist. My recent stay was a very mixed bag: When my flight arrived I called the hotel six times, but the front desk never answered the phone. Because of this I was unable to learn about the hotel shuttle, forcing me to pay $25 for a cab ride to the hotel. Upon arriving the front desk staff was pleasant, the hotel had a nice but dated quality to it. Once I got to my room I found that it was nicely appointed, but had the single worst bed I have ever experienced, and I have traveled in the third world. ... Read more

This was my second time here as it's one of the lower-priced hotels in the Newark airport area with a free shuttle. I had to wait about 35 minutes at the airport before it came, though, so might have been better off getting a taxi. At check-in they were telling everyone about a $20 fee that would be charged and then refunded after a few days - they didn't really explain why. Otherwise it was pretty efficient. We stayed here in order to be in the area for boarding our cruise ship, and my were we sorry. This oversized seedy motel is old and falling apart. Location is great because it's close to both the airport and the dock but otherwise it's an unkempt facility which is slowly crumbling under the excess use and minimal care. Well as far as hotels go, it's above a super 8 motel (or equivalent) but far below the Ritz. ;) Honestly, it probably doesn't meet most traveler's standards - it is old, dated, and in disrepair. While you can tell it has been superficially cleaned, you can see that there is decades of dirt and grime built up that would need a nice deep cleaning. Old and dated interiors, location is middle of no where. If you need to go to nearest shop/mall flat rate of USD 25 for taxi quoted by reception. Room keys will suddenly stop working when you go out.So need to go to reception again and again to get the keys.(happened 3 times in 2 days stay). Internet/wifi stopped working and took more than 4 hours to restore. The reception gave a telephone number to call for wifi. It should be hotels responsibility to attend to customer and not ask them to call... Read more

I spent over 250 days a year in hotels for the last 15 years and can honestly say this is about the worst. kinda like a budget host with a restaurant. I'm embarrassed to be a Wyndham gold member. The whole place smells like a dirty diaper. Food was below average. Bed was hard as a brick. Never again. I'll drive the hour and a half at 3 in the morning first.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed. The rooms were dirty, furnishes were old, no wifi, no restaurant, elevators not safe, hotel staff not kind... getting wyndham's reputation down. Not recommending

Conveniently located by the Newark Airport. Good catch with the snack bar available downstairs with sandwiches and drinks any time, as well as any necessities.

Most of the rooms are decorated with nice old photos of aviation scenes from long ago. That's the most positive thing I can say about this place. We had believed the location was convenient to the airport but the shuttle runs only twice per hour and takes ten minutes thru a tangle of roads and highways. Hallways are dimly lit and ugly. Carpets were generally dirty and should have been replaced years ago. Good hot water in the shower but the towels felt like sandpaper. The hotel is surrounded... Read more

Where do I start!!! Bell carts were gross, elevators sucked, got stuck in one. Door to the room my wife could barely open. One bar of soap and shampoo, not enough towels. Tv had only a few channels not worth watching kept screwing up. Stains on the carpet, ghetto extension cords running around everywhere. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.. housekeeping didn't know what a do not disturb sign means, they came in to clean anyway only made the bed, didn't bother cleaning the toilet. They give ... Read more

Overall cleanliness can be improved but it is not filthy dirty...just dusty. Bed was comfortable and staff was nice. Easy check in and out and free parking. If you have a car then convenient to stay near Newark airport as it is not too far from Holland tunnel or Jersey Gardens.

My wife and I had an early flight and decided to stay here. There were a few issues that were uncharacteristic for a Wyndham and when we returned from our trip we mentioned them and Carlota(sp?) the manager was EXTREMELY gracious and apologetic. We felt that Carlota took very good care of us. We would stay again because of Carlota's caring for customers and our desire to chalk it up to a bad day. Everyone has one right?

From the time that we walked in the door to the time we walked out, we loved it. The personnel at the front desk were great, the restaurant was good and the transportation to the airport was spot on. Kudos!

The facility has been renovated....lobby and dining areas were good. Rooms are large and have adequate facilities....bathrooms are tiny, toilets was not seated properly and is low, hard to navagate! Front desk staff were either overwhelmed or non communicative!

This place needs a major redo. Carpets very old and worn. Water stained bathroom ceiling, not cute. Bathrooms are very tiny with old toilets like a public restroom where you wouldn't dare touch the lever without your foot. No shelf space for toiletries in there either. Air conditioning was pretty loud and inconsistent. My thermostat said "low battery". One of the tiny OLD elevators was out of order. I don't think it lives up to the Wyndham name. Two stars because the front desk was very nice a... Read more

The hotel is older with two elevators that run very slowly. We were planning to eat in the area but there was nothing still open, so we went to the cafe. There were flies around the food. When we got into the lobby to leave on the airport shuttle, the man was not there. There was no other staff to find out where he was. It was not a great experience.

The hotel is falling apart. The ceiling in the bathroom are coming off. We didn¬īt have breakfast. We do appreciate the shuttle service to the airport. That was wonderful and very convenient for us. Staff are nice.
