This has been a regular location for us when we travel to this area and we have stayed here at least 4 times in the past 16 months. At first this was an excellent property, but as time goes on we noticed that the place is slowly going down hill. Not sure if it's a management issue or an issue with the property owner not wanting to do upkeep. Most of the staff is very friendly, but a few are a bit rude. The common areas are very poorly maintained. Miss-matched paint on the walls, scuff marks, d... Read more

My husband and I stayed here during the Penn Relays and it was perfect. We were looking for some place to spend the day because of the poor weather and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The staff was very nice and friendly. The best part about our stay was the incredible amenities that were offered in the room. There was a fridge, stove top, all of the dishes and pots and pan you could ever need, and the lending locker. The idea of boring items (crock pots, DVD's, games, etc...) at no cost to the guest... I stayed in many top hotels and all those hotels were great. I guess the difference that I felt staying in this hotel was not the quality rather the experience with Anthony. Because of him I felt like staying in my home and asking my brother to give me a hand to get something done. He should be recognized by the management. It??s hard to find someone like him in customer service now this days which actually make all the differences for those big corporate hotel chains.

This was my first time staying at a Candlewood Suites and it may be my last.I was disappointing and was not aware that this Hotel does not offer 'Daily' Housekeeping.Had I know this when I booked,I would have stayed elsewhere. I had to go down to the front desk to exchange dirty towels for fresh towels. That was a little unexpected because I generally stay at a Marriott,Hilton or even Choice Hotels where towels are brought to room. Overall the Room was clean and Spacious and had Amenities I li... Read more

We stayed one night & we were very happy with the staff & room. The room was spacious with a full size refrigerator and toaster. There were other appliances as well as games available to borrow. Considering the mixed reviews on this property the hotel exceeded our exceptions.

Recently renovated, this place is pretty nice now. Full fridge, dishwasher, stove, dishes, pots & pans, all the amenities, and many more to borrow. Laundry is free, and the gym is pretty decent. I swore that I wouldn't return years ago, but now that it has been reno'd, I will probably begin using it for my regular trips through the area. The rooms are laid out with modern touch, although the cabinetry and spacious desk seem to be something from IKEA, if you know what I mean. I have stayed at nei... Read more

My husband and I had been at the a Candlelight hotel in Polaris, Ohio for the second time, and have to say they outdid themselves again. They are renovating the hotel but the workers where quite and didn't bother a soul. It was another pleasant stay. Thanks guys!

I would not stay here for just a few nights but spent 10 nights here last March. The rooms are nice but the hotel common areas could be cleaner. Halls are a bit smelly. Note that you do not get daily housekeeping but there are a good amount of washer/dryers available.

These rooms were reserved for us for a family reunion. We did not realize that the rooms only had 1 queen size bed. When I called the listed local number for the hotel to ask about a room with a pullout couch or a cot, I apparently went to the central reservation area for the company and the attendant was absolutely clueless about the property. She said -- no pullouts in this unit and no cots in this unit (she did NOT say "not available" she said not in this property). Our boys slept on the ... Read more

Check in was as expected. The hotel is part of the Holiday Inn chain. Our room was on the first floor and was an Accessible room which we requested. The room was nice and included a full kitchen. The refrigerator, however, made a humming noise and was a little disturbing if one is a light sleeper. Other than that, for a short stay, the hotel is fine. There was a situation which did require the attention of housekeeping. Fortunately, the Head of Housekeeping, Cheryl, was more than lovely. ... Read more

We stayed one night here as a stopover. The room is clean, bed comfortable and the staff friendly. There is free laundromat for guests, and even a lending cupboard where you can borrow all sorts of things - blender, boardgames, wine glasses, sandwich maker.... It is about half an hour drive to Philadelphia downtown.

Stayed at this property last weekend and it was fine. Room was clean and had all the right amenities, especially a comfy bed. Parking was good, quiet location. No breakfast, much less a dining location within walking distance. They have "available" frozen breakfast and luncheon items FOR SALE, not what I would want when on a business visit. If this is the standard set up for Candlewood's, I'll opt for an alternative.

We stayed here one night before moving on to Atlantic City the next day. Previously we had stayed on the east side of Philadelphia, but I was concerned about the traffic the next morning so this time we decided to cross the river into New Jersey. Good decision! The hotel is located in a quiet business park which was very quiet on a Sunday. The lady checking us in was very pleasant and the room is spacious, clean and contains a full sized kitchen. There is not much within walking distance but a s... Read more

I often drive from VA to NH and need a place to stay overnight in the middle of the trip. I often stop in the Mt. Laurel, NJ area but last night was my first night in this hotel. I was very pleased with the accommodations. The hotel is oriented towards the extended stay patron but everything suited my needs well. It started by my being greeted by a very pleasant person at the front desk. I stayed in a 1 bed studio and the room was large with an extremely comfortable queen sized bed and pillows.... Read more

My debit card had been swiped twice for authorization, which put a hold of over $400 on my card. I brought my concern to the Operations Manager and he was very apologetic about the mistake. I asked if I could receive a discount on the room rate due to the inconvenience and the Operations Manager went over and beyond my expectations by refunding me for 1 night of my stay! All of the rooms are studio suites, which include a stove, microwave, standard fridge, with cookware and utensils too - ... Read more

We stayed here twice and would highly recommend this hotel. It's in a good location just off the NJ Turnpike with lots of restaurants close by to choose from. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.
