We booked the presidential suite for a wedding at another venue. Decent room but problems with plumbing in one of the bathroom sinks. Not a five star hotel but could be better with a little more attention to detail. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating. We had the farewell breakfast there as well, the food was very good.

They hotel works very well for weddings and the like and that's it main purpose. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is very nice. Rooms are solid and I really like he multitude of power outlets I the room. The hotel in 55 years old and it feels that way I certain respects. It's modernized, but not a modern hotel. For example, gym is in a windowless room In a room that was not designed for it. Internet is a bit pricey. So is the coffee shop. The most complicated issue is the bathroom. It's ... Read more

We chose The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding room block and private farewell buffet breakfast. Our wedding reception was approximately ten minutes away at The Park Savoy. Our contact at The Westin was Kelly and she was fantastic. From our initial meeting through the day of the wedding, Kelly was very attentive and responsive. She regularly checked in to ensure that everything was correct and up to date throughout the process. Due to the number of rooms that we booked, The Westin provided ... Read more

Full disclosure: My wife and I have stayed at The Westin Governor Morris on a number of occasions, and have always been very satisfied with the quality of this property, the attentiveness of the staff and overall comfort. My wife is originally from the Morristown area and this is our go-to property any time we visit family or attend an event in the area. Unfortunately, this weekend seemed to be what I hope is an anomaly and not a degradation in quality of the property. Upon arrival on Saturday... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel a few times on business trips to the Morristown area. Just about half an hour from the Newark airport and the hustle and bustle of New York, this is definitely a nice reprieve. The facilities are pretty, clean and roomy, the service is what you would expect from a Westin hotel, and the amenities, including the gym are well kept an functional. The best feature is the restaurant, the Blue Morel, that offers a full breakfast buffet and more, several options for lunch an... Read more

I stayed here for a wedding, of which there we several going on. Staff was friendly and helpful directing the different parties to shuttle busses and the room was comfortable, if showing a little wear and tear.

Stayed here for a wedding and was a bit disappointed. The bathroom space was very small so could not spread out with personal effects. The toilet was low to ground and not good water pressure. When we got to our room there was still half filled bottle of the hotel water and no soap. This gave me a bad impression in that, maybe the room hadn't been clean properly. First impressions matter! The breakfast buffet offered to wedding guests was in a nice room but food was just okay. The coordin... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. It is a beautiful hotel with great service. The reception area was cheery and staff was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. If you choose to, you can eat or get drinks on site. I did not go because time did not allow but they looked like nice places.

Decent hotel, felt it was pricey for the accommodations, even after a discounted group rate. Rooms were large, but poorly ventilated. Maintenance did come to fix thermostat but I couldn't tell any difference. Elevators were the slowest imaginable. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water pressure non existent. No blackout curtains. My boyfriend did enjoy the pool. Bar tab was over $50 for 4 domestic beers. Disappointed in what I got for the amount I was charged.

I stayed here nearly every week for 3 months in early 2016. The Governor Morris boasts an incredible lobby which makes for a comfortable place to finish up work late at night. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The in-house restaurant, the Blue Morel, is a great option for a nice meal at the end of a long day, especially due to the area's relative lack of interesting dining options (good restaurants exist, but require a little research to find). The only thing that was not excepti... Read more

I recently hosted my wedding in the beautiful ballroom at the Westin. Everything was run perfectly. Joyce and Christina were great before the wedding and Pedro couldn't have been better for the day of. I highly recommend the Westin for any social event!

We used the Westin Governer Morris hotel to house our guests for our wedding in March 2016. From the very beginning working with Kelly was extremely easy and she did everything she could to make us comfortable and prepared for our wedding day. In the end everything (the rooms, the hotel staff, the breakfast, the transportation service to our venue) turned out perfect as she promised. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any wedding or event in the area.

I recently stayed here while on a trip with my girlfriends. The rooms were very quiet. The mattress was very comfortable felt like home. The hotel was busy but you could not hear any noises during the night. The staff were friendly and helpful. We used the shuttle bus into Morristown in the evening. Breakfast was well organised and had some thing for everyone.

First beds are amazingly comfortable so that was a big plus, and room was nice a clean. Bathroon super small and hard to move around in. Elevator were either broken or slow. There is only one on the west tower. Patients is a must staying here. My husband is a musician and there was a large group of us here. We were in somewhat of a hurry when arriving on June 25th at 3:30 pm. We ate in the bar area prior to heading to the show. Sadly our waiter was less than friendly, not unkind just not friend... My fiance and I stayed here for a wedding. Booked a blocked room where it appeared the other guests of the wedding were staying on the same floor, which was nice. Everything looked pretty clean and organized when we arrived. They offer a shuttle to anywhere in a 5 mile radius which is amazing! We were able to go to downtown Morristown and eat around town. The gym was very nice as well and well kept. There is a local running trail which is available, but i was not able to run due to laziness an... Read more

I was recently in this part of New Jersey for business and my company reserved a room for me at this location. Although it is about a 20-25 minute (and $85 cab fare) ride from the Newark airport, it was right off the main highway and close to a few shopping malls and walking distance to a few historic sites. Upon first impression, although it is an older property, it is extremely well maintained and very modernized on the inside. I arrived before the check-in time, but was instantly provid... Read more

First of all, the room was on the small side. The ceiling in the bathroom was cracked. The hallways and rooms need some updating. The restaurant food was not good. My wife had wine and it tasted cheap not upscale hotel quality. She had a chicken Ceasars wrap that came with stale chips. My daughter had a burger and it was burnt and tasted like rubber. She refused to eat it. My wife asked for the food and beverage manager to contact her and never heard from him/her. Not what you expect from ... Read more

Stayed for a family wedding, decent room-great price, small bathrooms, but perfect for our stay. The bed was clean, comfy, & neatly made. We even requested an early check-in which was great since we traveled and wanted to freshen up before the ceremony. Recommend the restaurant/bar if staying. I would recommend for anyone needing to stay in the area.

This is my 3rd stay at this particular property, and my 2nd for business. This experience included an interaction with a very accommodating, friendly, and professional staff, and a 5-star caliber dining experience on property. My future trips to northern NJ will include stays at this property - for business or pleasure.
