We stayed at the hotel on the way to and from our old country at the end of April and in May. One thing which we witnessed - how friendly and helpful the stuff was. I have to say - Sam, Raquel, Ami and Stephanie, they worked as a team to solve all the problems. But Sam deserves a special mention for his dedication to help at any moment when the guests need him. We requested a small fridge for my wife to store ice packs (for her by-lateral full knee replacement icing). It did not work, Sam w... Read more

Another great stay at Hampton Inn and Suites in Mahwah, NJ. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were up to Hilton standards. Breakfast was done well, especially considering the number of guests the weekend I was there. Easy to get to on Hiway 17. I've stayed there before and probably will stay again. AARP price was very good also.

I recently stayed at this Hampton Inn as part of a bus trip. It was one of our best experiences at a Hampton Inn. The room was very clean and I loved the set up of the bathroom. There was plenty of room for everything and we had everything we needed for the two nights that we were there. The breakfast was very good. I was so happy that there was turkey sausage on our second morning. I only eat poultry so usually I can't eat any meat at the complimentary breakfast. I also enjoyed the robust coff... Read more

Our travel softball team stayed at this location for the Memorial Day weekend. From the minute I booked the stay for the team with Alex to the second we left we could not have been treated any better. The friendliest two people welcomed us upon check-in and the rest of the staff throughout our stay was just as nice. Clean hotel, great location, and perfect size lobby to accommodate us, another traveling team, and a wedding party. I highly recommend this location.

When preparing to go to bed we discovered that, although bed was neatly made, the sheets had not been changed after someone else slept in them. Someone really, really hairy. Like Sasquatch hairy. It was repulsive. The story took a turn for the better when we called the front desk and were promptly offered another room. The hotel employee agreed that the condition of the bed was unacceptable, assured us that we would not be charged for the night, and even helped us move our bags to the new room. ... Read more

Please replace the carpets. They are sad. Our stay can best be described through the following. I went to the bathroom and the toilet broke. I looked and it was a bad chain. A very nice gentleman came in and fixed the chain. Of course it broke again that night. Desk said they were not sure they could do anything. I expressed my displeasure. The clerk came up and inserted a paper clip in the chain. I asked why we couldn't have a new fifty cent chain and he informed me it wasn'nt in the budget. ... Read more

I stayed on the third floor, and the room was clean and comfortable, and quiet (even though it is off a main road). The location is perfect - right on 17 - for a stopover on a long trip down the coast. However, I was very annoyed by two things - first, I could not get on the WiFi. We always stay at Hampton Inns so I was surprised at the lack of housekeeping in the room. Blood stain on the curtains, chocolate fingerprint stains on wall and doorframe. Also, this is the only Hampton I have ever been to that had sandpaper like toilet paper.
