Was attending a wedding in nearby Union N.J and booked this Hotel to stay the weekend. It was very conveniently located right off the Garden State Pkwy. It was tucked away in a quite corner. The front desk staff were excellent, very friendly and check in was smooth. The hotel was modern and very clean. I booked a king size bed room, and the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are plenty of restaurant's and eating establishments near by on Rt 22. I had a very pleasant stay... The hotel staff was nice. The TV didn't work in our room but that was OK since we arrived late and just wanted to get to sleep. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The shuttle to the airport was fast and the driver was great. However, as I read in other reviews, the hotel shuttle on our trip return was MIA.....we called at 6pm and were told that they would send a driver. Had to wait over an hour.

Only spent one night here, but the check in experience was very nice and quick. The hotel is an older building but has been updated nicely. They had a bar and served quick food and had a nice breakfast. Has a small workout room. Had a nice sleep as well.

Updated and renovated hotel 15 minutes from Newark airport. Free shuttle - timely and prompt. Only hotel with a reasonably priced 21 day park and fly package in the Newark airport area. Room was very clean, marble bathroom, free wifi, flat screen tv, snacks in lobby, outstanding breakfast in morning. John Cerrato, manager, made my reservations over the phone and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He ensured our parking and hotel stay ran very smoothly. He was very customer service orient... Just a few quirky things to report about a generally well run property. If you are older and travel with wife who insists on bringing literally 160 pounds of stuff to travel with, you may be surprised as I was, that there is no elevator at the hotel. Lugging luggage to the second floor was difficult. There were minor but annoying room maid issues. On the first day, we used wash cloths but they were not replaced but were removed from the room. We had to use small hand towels to replace th... Read more

My boyfriend and I had tickets to see a WWE event at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Typically, we would have chosen a hotel in th downtown Newark area, but the aesthetics and space of this hotel far exceeded the 4 star hotels in the downtown region of Newark, and for a much better price. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front desk staff immediately, since we were in a rush to get to our event. Once we got inside our executive king room, we were completely impressed with the size, amen... Read more

We booked our room for 4 people which included complimentary breakfast. During checking in, the guy only give 2 breakfast coupon saying the children do not require any coupon. However, during breakfast, after 2 Danish, 1 juice, 1 yogurt and 1 corn flakes, the person in charge denied any more food saying that we have max our limit. Seriously.. When you book the room for 4 people you expect breakfast for 4 people. As much as I can understand that this is not a buffet breakfast but don't you think... Read more

Had a last minute one night stay with the family. They are doing some outside renovations. The room was updated and clean. Some reviewers mentioned a complimentary breakfast but this was not offered. We had previously stayed about two years ago as well and the room then was also updated and clean. Overall it's a nice place.

My weekend stay at the Kenilworth Hotel was a success from beginning to end. The hotel's airport shuttle was one factor in choosing this hotel and I was not disappointed. Before I began my trip I called the hotel to get directions for meeting the shuttle at Liberty Airport (Newark). I was given detailed directions for traveling on the airport's Air Train and for finding the shuttle pick-up location. The hotel van arrived at the estimated time and brought me directly to the hotel with no intermed... Read more

I went to this hotel based on the reviews. It was very near my NYC meeting. The front desk manager was horrendous at check-in. Jonathan Cossa insisted that I pay for a room that was already paid for on Orbitz even after the e-mail confirmation was given. I was then given a key that did not work-- waited 5 minutes- thank you maintenance. I then received a call from the front desk to say, "I have corrected the issue." I will never stay here again. Very rude front desk manager! The room is clean bu... Read more

The upside ... convenience, convenience, convenience + comfort. The Kenilworth is located in the perfect radius of my recent trip. I needed to visit the Apple Store in Menlo Park [not California Menlo Park - NJ Menlo Park]. The store is 20minutes away at most. We had meetings in Cranford. It took us 15 mins to get to our meetings. We had market visits to attend to and the locations were all 10 - 20 minutes travel time. We flew out of Newark to Boston. Just stayed two nights for business, and although upon arriving the property was not as desirable due to the main entry being blocked due to it being paved, and construction nearby, my viewpoint was quickly changed upon check-in and along with every encounter with employees. Every encounter with several different employees was wonderful, where I was always treated well and with respect. Nice place to stay if you only go to sleep but the food which you pay for not good and service horrible in the cafeteria area if I go back to NJ I would look for another place to stay. The room was clean and smell good and bathroom too. The only complain is the cafeteria area and the people that work in

I had an awesome time here came just to get away originally booked a room for two days and ended up adding two additional days. So I would say it was an enjoyable stay. Would like to see more of an extensive pub menu and the key to the room kept need reset but other than that I would give it 10 stars and would definitely come back.

Just stayed here for 1 night and would stay again. The rooms were nice and updated. The staff was very nice and helpful. Don't be scared off by what the outside looks like. It is newly renovated on the inside. They are in the middle of parking lot renovation. The price was great and if ever in the area, I would stay again.

Where do I start? Letā??s start with Nicole from the front desk. She is absolutely OUTSTANDING and I couldnā??t be more appreciative of her welcoming ways of being. She did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and at home. She remembered me by name and was always there to greet me in the morning. I know this sounds crazy, but I would sometimes go out the front even though my car was parked in the back, just to see her and say hi. The mornings Precious and Constance were there made it... My family and I were vacationing in New Jersey and decided to book this place for our trip. We are very glad that we chose this place to stay! The hotel is well-decorated and the bedrooms were clean; all of the furniture looks brand new. The staff was helpful and friendly as well. If you are visiting New Jersey, this is one of the places that I highly recommend you visit!

It is an easy on and off from New Jersey Pkwy. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. One of the nicest, cleanest rooms we have stayed in. The bed was awesome and the bathroom was very spacious..large counters, which I loved. I would highly recommend staying here. I also loved the fact that the air conditioner worked well and was very quiet.

We had a very short stay. From what we experienced the hotel room was decent. Newly decorated. Only complaint is the bottom floor hallways where we stayed smelled completely musty/moldy. Location was great because it's right off the Garden State Parkway.

We stayed for 4 nights. Parking was free and ample of space. Supermarket across the hotel for most of the grocery requirement. For breakfast it is better to get frozen stuff and get it heated or drive down the road 2 min away. Alcohol / laundry shop across the street. Prefer to drive down the shopping area just 6 min away. Better options and cheaper. Laundry is available on the ground floor but was not working in spite informing them. Machines use only credit card which is quite surprising. ... Read more

This hotel is one of the best hotels at which I have stayed in a long time. My flight was cancelled late at night but Nicole at the front desk of the Kenilworth organized free transportation for me from the airport to the hotel and greeted me with a smile that made all my previous problems that day completely disappear. I was only staying one night on a business trip but was pleased with the overall Decour in cleanliness. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at the Kenilworth for the PGA Championship. Close to golf course which was nice! Very updated, clean, friendly staff. Close to grocery store and party store. Trellis Bar was just "ok" - nothing special but not bad - a little overpriced but to be expected in the area.
