Hilton properties and in particular, the Doubletree, are my "go to" hotels for business and personal travel. This particular location in Jersey City, NJ is staffed with delightful and helpful personnel - kudos to the management and Hilton Hotels for making me feel welcome.

Stayed in the Double Tree for a Jersey wedding, 2 day stay. Hotel was excellent, room very clean and very large, staff at front desk was super nice and helpful at all times. Cleaning staff very friendly and very efficient, Restaurant was great for lunch and breakfast, great service, did not have dinner on site only because we had other reservations already, very nice stay at the Double Tree, would stay again when in the City for a visit, Thanks to the whole staff, Very nice stay !!

First time staying in Jersey City. Hotels in NYC were really expensive this week for some reason. Location is good enough. Close to the Newport Path train and very quick into the city. Midtown or Downtown. There is a big mall nearby and a great trail down the Hudson that I ran one morning. Didn't seem to be many restaurants nearby which is OK as I ate in the City. I got a big corner suite on the 7th floor. It was a great size. And very comfy. Quite as well, slept very well. The highlight was pro... Read more

This is hotel is fine hotel and is located in an area that really is up and coming. There is construction every where in Jersey City right now, near and around the waterfront. We stayed here for a wedding and it appears that this hotel is a popular location for wedding parties in the area. There were 2 wedding parties staying at this hotel on the weekend we stayed. The hotel is a standard DoubleTree and the suites are comfortable and spacious. Some rooms have views of New York City (but ou... Read more

The guest room was not properly cleaned, there appeared to be urine stains on the tile floor around the toilet and hairs on the floor from the previous guests. The carpet in the room did not appear to be vacuumed as there was a piece of chocolate on the floor. I stepped on a small rock and my wife also stepped on some rubbish on the floor. The customer facing staff were excellent, professional and accomodating, but the main product is the hotel room and it was not clean.

We booked three suites at the Doubletree - two kings and one double - for a 3-night stay. The hotel is nice and the rooms were clean. However, one of the kings was very small for a suite. I had asked for a roll-away bed, and there was barely room to set it up. The other king had a pull-out sofa and had far more room. The double also had a pull-out sofa and plenty of room. The room I slept in was right next to the elevator, and I was kept awake a good share of the night from the elevator noise... Read more

Odd odor every night around 2 am filled the room and made it difficult to sleep. They ask for your preferences but do not follow through.

I stayed here last week on business for 5 nights. I upgraded to the NYC view and had a top floor. While the view was nice, I didn't feel it was worth the extra cost. You get a view of Manhattan but nothing of real significance. The World Trade Center and that area is blocked by other buildings across the street from the hotel. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was priced VERY reasonably and tasted quite good. I would stay here again if/when I'm back in the area.

The parking was affordable - only $25/day and their own garage is right there next door with plenty of spaces. 4. Beds seemed small but were comfortable. 5. As we arrived by car from Baltimore , I didn't really want to drive and park in Manhattan. I have read other reviews and I'm surprised at comments of unfriendly staff. I found the staff charming and helpful. The hotel in large and rather bland but that's what you get from these "suite" brands. Our room was large with good sized bathroom and a desk area. I recently moved cross-country after living in Jersey City for many years. I say that to say that from an educated perspective, JC is so very convenient if you have work or play in Manhattan (unless you're going to the far East side). Jersey is not a foreign country. Good option for family traveling to Manhattan but that want a cheaper option. The hotel was clean, friendly and helpful staff and the suite was adequate for a family of five. PATH train station to Manhattan is only about a five minute walk away and takes you directly to World Trade Center area or 33rd Street, near Times Square. Easy access to the PATH to NYC and to Newark and the beautiful walkway of Jersey City along the Hudson. Not as nice as the Westin and on most days the same price from my experience. Skip the restaurant and go to other local JC locations for meals.

The hotel is only 3 blocks from PATH station to go into Manhattan, NYC. Our room is a King Jr. Suite, very spacious, with a large living quarter with a separate TV. Only complaint is the noisy AC when the compressor is running.

The room felt old and dated. There were stains on the carpet. The furnishings were not up to many of the Doubletree properties we have stayed in. The breakfast items were cold and overcooked. The best food was the fresh fruit. The first day we ordered omelets which sat to be picked up at least 10 min. They were then microwaved to reheat them which dried them out, Needless to say they weren't eaten!

Choosing JC again due to its excellent proximity to NJ Malls amd Manhatten we chose the DoubleTree JC this time. This trip combined Business,a birthday and a long plan to attend the 9/11 memorial in Liberty Park. We were there for 6 day and were very pleased from the help we received on arrival right through to chicking out . The front desk staff are excellent (big thank you to Monique who I called Monika for a week) to the breakfast team .Everyone was helpful and made our stay a 'home from home... Read more

We were very impressed with the service at the hotel, from the front desk to the valet parking. My daughter left one of her toys in the room after we checked out and housekeeping set aside and shipped it back to us. The room was clean and spacious with a separate sitting area and a pull-out sofa. We particularly liked that we could shut a double door for privacy in the bedroom. We enjoyed our stay very much as well as the view of the city from our room.

This hotel was in a great location and made it very easy for us to take a ferry from Paulus Hook over to World Financial Center in Manhattan. Furthermore, we were able to use their parking deck over the weekend while we stayed in the LES of Manhattan on Friday and Saturday night, very convenient!. The nearby River walk provided a great view of Manhattan. All of the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Pretty nice rooms, comfortable beds, nice staff, and a fantastic restaurant. Recommend getting the steak and Mac in the restaurant. Easy check in and very nice staff. Negative- ordered wake-up calls everyday and never received any. View was mediocre, but that's not a big deal.

Hotel was ok, needs a little updating, ask for a room away from train tracks and a high floor, otherwise forget about sleeping. There is also construction in the adjacent lot that starts very early. Service Staff was very good and location makes it easy to get to Exchange Place for work.

Given the price of rooms in Manhattan we chose to stay here at half the price. It's location is exceptionally close to Manhattan, took about 10-15 minutes from the nearest PATH station to Manhattan and available 24/7, the only issue was at weekends as they were doing track signalling work and running a skeleton service. We found the room extremely large with its own lounge. There was a supermarket called Shop-Rite within 5 minutes walk behind the hotel which with a fridge, hot drink maker and ... Read more

We booked this hotel because my husband and I planned a romantic weekend and had plans to see a Broadway play. The hotel advertised that it was 2 blocks from the train station and convenient to getting to the city . At check in we were told the train station that is 2 blocks away is closed. The only station we could use was exchange place which was 1 mile away and only goes to the World Trade Center . This hotel is not convenient to the city and charges $28,75 to park. It cost us another $35. In... Read more

We stayed at the DoubleTree with a group after a wedding and had a great experience! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We all enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookie we received at check-in.There was a brunch in the morning and the food was good. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to a friend.

If you drive, use a small car-self parking is TIGHT! Streets not made for SUVs and larger. Be tolerable of the people in the area, they can be rude. Don't park on the street anywhere, make sure it's an actual parking lot-you're bound to get a ticket for anything.

The Hilton Doubletree Jersey City lived up to expectations. Location, room size and cleanliness could not be faulted. Ideal for a visit to New York City. The Path train from Newport station was a very easy and frequent service to the World Trade Centre. $2.75 each way. The other option was the water taxi, $6 one way during the week, $4 at the weekend.

We booked this hotel and other hotels in the city were charging exorbitant price for the long weekend in NY. Four of us had a good sleep in the two double bed and sofa bed. The room size is huge it's like having two rooms of other hotels. The service and cleaning were top notch. Also the shuttle they offer came handy to visit nearby malls and walking distance to path and a huge super market is right behind the hotel. We used the microwave for our breakfast and also dinner on one occasion. I have... Read more

It's hard to be away from home for an extended time, but the comfortable room, service, and smiles went a long way. Great for a business trip.

This hotel was at a great location , close to ferry , light rail , and some good restaurants . Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms . We took the ferry over to NYC , hoping to see the World Trade Center but the lines were long since it was a beautiful fall Saturday and everyone else had the same idea . We had reservations somewhere else for a boat cruise so we will have to come back again . I will definitely stay here again .

Last weekend we visited a family member who recently moved to Jersey City. It was our first visit, and we were relieved to find that The Doubletree Hotel can be our home base when visiting in the future.
