At such a cheap rate, I had very low expectations. Turns out, that was a good idea. We needed a cheap place for 1 night. The hotel IS cheap, but man, that room hasn't been updated (or even cleaned?) since 1972. Torn carpet, stains on every single surface, BUGS, so many bugs! (Flies, fruit flies, a damn jungle in there.) Check in clerk was polite enough, tons of outlets in the room - only 2 nice things I can say about the place. (Ps. NO free breakfast anymore.... j... room was filthy, shower head fell off the first night was reported was never fixed. i had to buy sheets to sleep. We only slept here 2 nights out of the six. I did not feel safe. Local people live here. I am from this area and should have known better, I thought this was another Rodeway location a block down. Beware.

Absolute worst stay ever! There are enough adjectives to describe this hotel! The Bates Motel is the Ritz Carleton in comparison! The owners do not care because customers have complained between the cleanliness of the room and the mold, to the broken furniture, the lack of tv choices, the horrible smells coming from the mattresses, cigarette burns in everything, doors not closing properly, no breakfast and no internet! Let's not mention the mold and the pipes broken and leaking when the water is... Read more

We had no issues during our quick, 1 night stay. We were only there for a few hours to catch a flight early in the morning. Rooms weren't as clean as I would of expected. Lots of dust. The TV was extremely old and the picture hardly came in at all. Tried watching a football game, but couldn't make out anything on the screen. Not a place I would stay if vacationing in Atlantic City, but it was good enough for a few hours of a sleep before a flight. Will probably look else where next time due to t... Read more

Literally horrible. I'm surprised I didn't catch something while there. They staff is all family, with the elders being incredibly polite and hard-working (they know a thing or two about customer service), the younger couple however, needs to get out of hospitality and never look back. I have never been more disappointed in the way a company handled their guests. The bathroom was disgusting, it didn't even drain. Thank goodness my mom had thought to bring blankets for the car ride, because I end... Read more

This place was disgusting. See pics below. Stains on the walls. Carpet I wouldn't let my dogs walk on. A bed I wouldn't touch. Box springs out of a dumpster. Cigarette burns in the pillow cases of a non smoking room that smelled like an ashtray. Blood? Poop? Makeup all over the walls. And God only knows what was dripping down the back of the door.

Fifty dollars a night and a block from the boardwalk seemed too good to be true. We checked in at 3:00pm, left to sightsee, and did not return until 9:00 pm. The shower took several minutes to get hot. The smoke alarm was missing (only the attachment base was on the wall). The bathroom window and bathroom door appeared to be quick fixes as neither properly fit. There were two flat sheets (no fitted sheet) and a polyester bedspread on the bed but no blanket. Around 10:00 pm we heard a large g... Read more

You get a firm bed, clean sheets, clean towels, shampoo, hot water, and coffee in the morning. Not a bad deal. You even get 45 channel's of satellite t.v. I would stay here again. Plus there's plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
