The staff at Hampton Inn Newark Airport are excellent. I always feel welcomed and the front desk staff goes the extra mile to ensure any concerns I have are addressed and my desires are accommodated. I especially want to highlight Jose the Front Desk Supervisor for his personal attention to ensure my booking are correctly made in advance of my stays. I also want to highlight the great support I always get from Depeisha, Amy, and Benito. All three of them are excellent at customer service and... Read more

Stayed here for a trip South. The park and fly experience was awesome. We had an early morning flight and you really can't get any closer to the airport than this hotel. The staff both morning, night and departure day were as friendly as any hotel that I've ever experienced. The hotel was modernly decorated and the rooms were very comfortable. You can't beat the experience, location and value.

Though within walking distance of the airport (note: please do not walk across expressway) i believe I only heard one plane fly over. The drive was windy, but the location is just across the freeway from the airport. It was so convenient for my day trip.

Make sure you request clean sheets if you stay here. I pulled back the sheets to find blood stains and a pad backing! Gross! I took a picture and showed it to the guy at the front desk and the manager personally visited my room to make sure I got clean sheets. No offer to discount the price until I asked, but then she comped the whole price. I was weirded out for the rest of my stay.

Very friendly people, clean although not new-ish. We stayed here thinking it would be a good base of operations for NYC. Not so. Although the free shuttle will take you to the airport to catch a train, we walked 20mins to Elizabeth station and saved $5 a person. Either way, getting to Manhattan from here takes at least an hour, and up to two hours depending on your luck catching the train. Not so bad going in, but coming out late at night it's a long ride and walk.

Stayed here before a two-week vacation, heading to the airport. The office staff was inundated with people when we arrived however they were able to support us and help us in every way possible. Amy is a dream. Go Amy! We had questions about leaving our car here for a week or two, restaurants to go to and so on. We got lots of help even though they were very very crowded at that time. The room was wonderful clean and tidy. Lots of USB cable support jacks. Hampton is our favorite.

Easy access to the terminals. Staff was friendly and great coffee in the reception area. Only issue in the morning was infrequent shuttle departures: only top and bottom of the hour. Because of that we had to get up earlier than ideally needed. But apart from that, it was good.

The Hampton inn in Newark is very convenient to the airport, the shuttle service is great and the service was excellent. The hotel was dirty. The bathroom floor was sticky and the base boards and carpet were filthy. The sticky floor was due to not cleaning properly, but the other problems were due to the Hilton company not putting money back into their investment. A remodel of this hotel is way past due!

Easy shuttle access to Newark Airport, great breakfast, friendly and extremely helpful staff! Even though it is directly across from the airport, the hotel was very quiet and you never noticed. One downside is there is no restaurants close to hotel so plan accordingly if you don't have a rental car. Uber is active in the area so we used it. Taxis are apparently slow to respond,

IS NOT A HAMPTON, until now when i booked a Hampton i was confident and not hesitate, but this hotel is awful, needs urgent renovation. Begining with sign, is half turn on, is bad sign, ;-) but when you get in and see stuff pretty stained, spotted and dirty, you concern. But with 2 childrens, arriving 10 p.m. there is not too much to choose, so i had to check in, but my reservation was for 4 days, so i paid 4 nights. Hotel is absolutely outdated, my sofa was a disgust, furnitures total stained i... Read more

No place to eat close and the shuttle from the airport is not consistent. The rooms are clean and the Internet works. Next time I will stay at a different hotel. I had to wait over 45 minutes for the shuttle. Walking or Uber would have been faster.

Stayed one night prior to a flight out of EWR! Being a Hilton GOLD member; I expected a much more decent experience! Never took advantage of the Free Breakfast since we left to go to the airport. Room was a good size; far from what it should have been in this category! Tired and old, worn out, furniture! A/C unit would equal the noise level of the plane we were on while it took off!!! NO PANTRY of stocked items to choose from! GOLD MEMBER got one can of coke!!! We have stayed at the Wyndham near... Read more

We stayed here the night before catching a flight for our vacation. As we checked in the staff was very unfriendly, even to the point of being rude. They quickly ushered us out of the lobby and did not listen to any of our questions or concerns. When we walked into the room it smelled musty and dirty. There was visible dirt on the counters and tons of dust buildup in the ac unit. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was so dirty no one in our party felt comfortable sleeping on the beds so... Read more

We stayed here one night while waiting for an international flight and it was a great location near the airport. Free shuttle service and friendly reception. We stayed here one night 17 September 2016. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room was warm on arrival but the air con quickly lowered the temperature. The beds were comfortable and I slept well although my friend not so much. As is usual in many hotels, only one armchair was provided, although there was a desk chair. There were plenty of electrical sockets and USB ports. The bathroom was large with plenty of towels. The hot water was extremely hot and great care was needed not to s... Read more

Flew in late evening and decided to stay here for first night of vacation since close to airport. It impressed. But not in way one wants. One of reasons I choose Hampton is for consistency. Free shuttle wasn't timely. Paid for taxi. Check in/out was efficient and basic courtesy. Wanted to get a snack at the pantry that is at most Hamptons, not at this one. Recommendation was to walk in rain across dark parking lots to neighboring hotel or order pizza etc at 10:30 pm. Thank you, no. The room... Read more

Let's be honest: nobody books a vacation for Elizabeth, New Jersey - the reason you are staying here is because you will be flying out of Newark airport, and you need a place to stay for the night. If so, this place is perfect for you! I would gather that the vast majority of those staying at this hotel are one-night-only guests, and as such, this hotel does everything it is supposed to. And while everything physical in the place functions very well - beds, bathrooms, TV, wifi, etc. - the staff... Read more

My husband and I have used this hotel a lot in the past when going to the airport or even into NYC for the day. Our first few stays were very nice with Ramone as our shuttle driver, giving us personalized attention and a ride to our favorite Portuguese restaurant. This place WAS a value and a decent place to stay. THIS TIME, however was a different story. Ramone is gone. I chose this hotel because it had a park stay and go deal. It was another $70 to park for 7 days but also had to pay $120 for a cab to the brooklyn cruise terminal. Unfortunately there were no cheaper uber options that Saturday morning. You may want to consider this extra cab cost when considering a park stay and go deal rather than parking at the brooklyn cruise terminal for a 7 day cruise. Hotel was a standard hampton inn.

Stay at a lot of Hilton chain hotels. This is a typical Hampton. Clean, quiet, with good service. Rate was very competitive also. Would have liked to have a bench in the gym, but it was adequate for a night. Be aware, there are no good food options close to the hotel, so plan on a drive or order delivery. Overall, good option for the area if your priority is lower price.
