The Hampton Inn Carlstadt provided a flawless week of accomodations. Their staff were on point, and the "in room dining" (provided by Redd's Restaurant, down the street) was far above expectations. I could not give this hotel a higher recommendation!

Good experience as always at the Hampton Inns. Bus stop across the street makes it very easy to go to NY City. The people in the reception were extremely helpful. The complementary breakfast was very good. Try to get a room on the side that is not facing the road. I imagine that side is not as quiet.

My room was clean and in perfect working order. The staff was professional and courteous. What impressed me the most however was the integrity and honesty of the housekeeping staff. I mistakenly left my sold gold college ring on the desk in the room when I checked out. I realized this hours later and called the hotel in a panic only to learn that the housekeeper found it and turned it over to the front desk staff. My stay was planned at last minute, but was happy to secure a location not far from my family who lives in the area. Since I was traveling with my younger nephews I was hoping there would be a pool on site which would entertain them. I But I do enjoy the hotel chain overall and will book again in the near future.

We booked block of rooms for my daughters wedding and it was very nice and close to venue. and used hotel shuttle service which was very convenient. Only issues were that there wasn't enough setting for breakfast in morning and we made gift bags for our guests staying overnight but only a few were handed out by hotel desk personnel so we went home with them.

The Hampton Inn in Carlsbad New Jersey provides pastries with the coffee in the lobby. The bread selection for breakfast is exceptional. Go early for breakfast if there are bus groups staying there. The Meadowlands horse track is across the street. Approximately five large vehicles and buses can fit in the surrounding parking area. Not much in walking distance. I recommend a vehicle or shuttle to go to the track. I will request this hotel again.

5 stars all round except for location and no pool. If you want a hotel strictly for in/out of Manhattan or attending a game at the Meadowlands, this is the place for you. Only negative is that there is NOTHING around the hotel. Really not a problem for us on this trip as we left the hotel around 9:00 am and did not return to 11:30 - midnight. Bus pickup and drop off RIGHT in front of hotel. Excellent.

The entire staff that I came across could not have been nicer. However, the hotel should clean the carpets regularly, remove squeeky beds, ensure that the hallways stay quiet past midnight and improve breakfast quality. The omlet looks and tasted like high school food. There were not enough seating for breakfast, so we had to wait 20 minutes to sit. Get rid of old furniture. Offer quiet air conditioning.

great hotel with clean rooms and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in and out, great breakfast. The location and convenience for traveling into NYC couldn't be better if you don't want the expense and inconvenience of staying in the city. Have been staying here for 10 years now.

Very clean hotel. The front desk staff especially Alex were extremely helpful in planning our trip to NY City. Helped us book a tour which picked us up at the hotel. The hotel was very quiet at night. If you are looking for a hotel outside the NY City but close enough to get in easily this is the place. A city bus stops in front of the hotel if you don't want to do a tour. City bus was also very easy to use.

Stayed at this Hampton Inn for 2 nights so we could visit New York. Room was very spacious for 3 people and the hotel location was perfect. The bus left from right outside the hotel and takes you straight to Port Authority in Time Square. Would definitely recommend this hotel is you are planning to visit New York.

I stayed here on a Friday night. The check in process was awesome, I was able to do it from the app so upon arrival all I had to do was pick up my key from the front desk. I also liked that I was able to choose my own room in the app. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel offered a complimentary shuttle to the wedding I attended nearby and offered a free breakfast which is just an added convenience/value. My bed was not the most comfortable, but it was not an issue. I ... Read more

Our 50th high school reunion used this hotel as its headquarters and the committee made a great choice. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and friendly and our room was clean, quiet and comfortable with many amenities such as hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, complimentary wifi and large screen TV. Our group was allowed to use the breakfast area for an after hours get together, and yes, we were very quiet. This was a wonderful stay and it's right across from MetLife Stadium.

Large clean room, comfortable bed, awesome jacuzzi tub and access to major roads. This hotel was great to stay in for the night. Incredibly close to MetLife. It's literally the view from our window. Complimentary breakfast in the morning. Would absolutely stay here again. Look for this place if you are in town for a Giants game.

The location is great but otherwise a tired and old hotel. Scary dirt in the bathroom and worn rooms and bathrooms in serious need of renovation. Only one elevator worked, leading to massive traffic jams in the lobby. The staff was pleasant and breakfast was good but I would never stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Carlstedt. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, even giving us great advice on excellent local restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the free shuttle service to and from the restaurants as we'll as to the airport. The complementary breakfast had a good range of choices and some items were changed to avoid repetition. Food was fresh and tasty.

Very nice hotel, directly across the street from the Meadowlands. It's walking distance, but I don't know if there is an actual path and we didn't try. Service - friendly and helpful. Cleanliness - very clean, no complaints. Bed - comfortable, but squeaky. Shower - very nice, good pressure and temp. Coffee - available 24 hours in lobby. Morning coffee has a "robust" option and a carafe of half and half. The robust was better than average hotel coffee, but still weaker than I like. All in... Read more

This is a basic hotel if you wanna stay outside nyc to save money. It's clean and offers a good free breakfast and free parking. The rooms aren't sound proof and the bathrooms are a little old looking but still clean. 15 minute bus ride right in front of the hotel to manhattan which is great. Recommend if you're just looking for something simple and affordable for a couple of nights.

Stayed recently for 2 nights to attend a Jets game at Meadowlands Stadium. The hotel is very close to the stadium, but police DO NOT allow you to walk to/from the stadium. A shuttle is provided, free of charge, and it's a bit of an odd arrangement, since the shuttle takes you to Redd's Restaurant and there you get off the shuttle, and board the Redd's shuttle to the stadium, however it worked very well for us, and was quite efficient. Even post game, the line waiting to board the shuttle was ... Read more
