Worst hotel ever stayed at. Had a special rate during a dance competition at a local high school. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Front desk staff not helpful. Did not recommend any restaurant except the expensive restaurant in the hotel. $16.00 for continental Breakfast, are you kidding? No mini fridge no microwave, small TV. 2 Elevators, both malfunctioned and alarm went off. Everyone was evacuated. Staff was very unapologetic. Adjacent room occupants were very loud, no insulation. I stay at the Indigo about twice a month. It is clean and the staff treat you like family. The food is good. Tom the server is the best waiter I have seen. Front desk at night is run by Saiqua who is so pleasant and greets you with a big smile. The great thing in two years of coming I have never had a problem. Dunbar

Staff has a horrid attitude problem, rooms fall short on basic hotel amenities (shower caps, safe box, bottled water, mini bar). My initial room had ants, so they upgraded me. However, in the upgraded room, the shower was old-dated (yellow curtain) and no space to put the toiletries on. Not recommended on any level whatsoever.

The good: Bar staff was fantastic! The bad: booked this for our wedding guests. New sales person NEVER returned any of our calls. No one was every at their desk when we called. I started to explain what I was asking for, the person cut me off and magically the person I was asking for was available. Breakfast was included with our contract, but front desk told guests it either wasn't or had no idea what the contract says. Also called GM and he never called back. With 18 rooms booked for our... Room assigned was first floor, handicap accessible, even though I booked weeks in advance. The shower was terrible was awkward to utilize, the hot water ran for almost 1o minutes after you turned it on and off. Impossible to stop water from coming out of shower without using every towel in room. The room was also providing the faint odor of sewer gas which was terrible. The beds were very hard. The Restaurant and bar staff were wonderful and food was okay. If this were not Business travel relate... Read more

Several members of my family came to Basking Ridge for a memorial service. They gave us a nice block rate. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bar stayed open late for us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Entirely a good place to stay. I see some negative reviews but this isn't one of them.

I arrived late in the evening and no one was at the front desk. After waiting 5-10 minutes, someone finally showed up with an excuse he was with another guest. The check-in process was smooth, but he was not interested in even attempting to help locate my IHG rewards number or add it to my account telling me I would need to locate it and provide it to them later. The room looked 'beat up' as there were scratches on the furniture and the appearance was just not what I expected for the high pri... Read more

Average hotel. Big rooms but can be quite cold during winter due to the floor. Low to average food, but ok assortment of beer. Very friendly staff. Small business area with 3 computers. Internet ok and is free. You need car to come around. Ok parking.

I have stayed here several times over the last year, but only when every other hotel in a 10 mile radius is sold out. It seems to have undergone a recent renovation, but everything is very cheap. It makes me concerned about corners the owners also cut with cleanliness. On the positive side, the service is usually attentive and it has nice soap.

First room had a leak and table lamp didn't work. Changed rooms but beds not real comfortable and room decor is dark with minimal lighting. No wash cloth for bathroom. Best thing was breakfast and friendly front desk.. Issues with elevator. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here last week for 4 nights. The hotel was very busy which we understood and waited patiently to be checked in. The woman at the front desk asked if we minded waiting for her to call to see if our room had been cleaned before checking us in. We didn't mind the wait. There seemed to be some confusion over whether or not the room had been cleaned, but again they were busy and perhaps understaffed. Eventually the woman said our room was all set and gave us our room keys. ... Read more

For what we paid, we weren't anticipating much...but the Indigo in Basking Ridge ended up being quite nice. The hotel is located in a somewhat secluded area, so noise wasn't a problem. We stayed there for 2 nights to attend a (gasp) 50th year high school reunion. The first night of the reunion activities was held in the hotel's bar/restaurant area, where hors d'oevres were served and there was a cash bar. Later in the evening, there was live music and some of the attendees did impromptu karaoke... Read more

We had quite nice one-nite stay during our New York State trip - however I was slightly disappointed by the hotel from the perspective of Indigo brand - it was 100% same as the Holiday Inn Express we stayed another two nights in West Point - I had for sure higher expectations. Adding one picture on the wall will for sure not do the magic ! Apart from that, this hotel is a good for a quick stay !

Overnight stay for wedding. Check in staff M was a poor representative of hotel. Not customer oriented. Unwilling to resolve simple issue - very inflexible . Style of this person off putting she even used a "talk to the hand" approach. Hotel in need of improvement elevator old paint peeling. Guests primarily overnight stays for local weddings. All arriving at or near 4 pm- checkin time many rooms not ready and check in unable to manage Saturday check in on her own. We used a third party w... Read more

We stayed here for one night when the AC in our new house died. The hotel is pet friendly and we are grateful for that. It was also clean, fairly inexpensive, and the staff was very nice. This may have been our first time at a Hotel Indigo anywhere -- I thought the hotel had an Ikea-vibe to it as far as the rooms go.

A resort hotel - spacious, in a country like place. not very new but quite nice. Food (room service) is great, though a bit expensive. Service is fantastic , when I try to call taxi to my company office in the rain they kindly offer me a free pick up by hotel van.

I'd stayed at an Indigo in Boston area before, it was hip, trendy, but also comfortable. This Indigo falls well short. Suburban location, easy to find. Appears to have formerly been a Hampton or Quality Inn. Interior decor mostly modern, but there are still traditional touches from original construction. Over the look is a bit contrived. But that is minor. Major issues are: Limited workout equipment in gymn Pillows are small square pillows - not comfortable Floors in room are bamboo - rat... Read more

Unfortunately, this is the second time this hotel has under performed for me. As a frequent business traveler and an IHG Platinum member, I can confidently say this hotel does not live up to Hotel Indigo expectations. This should be a Holiday Inn Express or at best a Holiday Inn. This is an older property trying to pass for something it simply is not. After multiple stays, this is not a boutique hotel or anything unique. Not worth the high price tag. This is an old and tired property.

I found someone else's hair on my bed and the bedside table was full of dust. No shower cap neither. Yuck! I trusted IHG but this stay make me never want to stay with Indigo no more. For over 200 bucks a night, I deserve better.
