I was performing at the Taj Mahal and the Annex was the most reasonable. Like many, when you get reasonable, you get what you pay for. Not here! I was VERY PLEASED with the hotel/cleanliness of the hotel and the large rooms and comfortable beds. The front desk was very accommodating and I would absolutely stay here again in the future

This was the original choice due to price and upon arrival in the room, I immediately requested to be upgraded to the tower. It was dingy, dark, old and basically like a $50 a night motel and we were paying almost $140 a night. The path to the room can only be described as a horror film when you are walking into a death trap. The painted concrete walls and metal doors did not appeal to me. There was absolutely no sense of security. The bathroom was old with pink tiles with a blue tub. Reminded m... Read more

I have booked the Annex 2 other times, but apparently stayed on the Chelsea side . My cousins paid for the annex ocean view, but stayed on the Chelsea side and we had the very last room in the 4th floor . It sounded like a helicopter landed in the roof. We immediately went to the front desk and asked to be moved which they put us on the second floor. The elevators are old, rickety, and worn. The rooms are dated as well as the bathroom. It seemed like there were more younger people that were lou... Read more

Let me start with the positives. Itā??s located next to the Tropicana. Now the negatives. It started with the 1920's elevator. You only need to ride it once to prefer climbing the stairs. It shimmies and sways for the whole ride. The stairwell and halls are dark. Thank goodness for the pink neon lights. The room was small but it was relatively clean. No stains on the beds or towels like other people found. They call this the "social end of the hotel". First, its a motel and second, social means.... Read more

Went to A.C. for my fiances birthday this past weekend. The photos from the website are not a true reflection of the quality standard for this hotel. The room was terrible! I had to go to the closest store to buy bleach, comet, candles and sanitizing wipes as the tub was filthy! Ring of dirt in the tub, room smelt disgusting everything was just nasty. The doors leading to the balcony yuck. It looked like a film of milk was dried to the glass doors. Last straw was going to lay down only to find s... Read more

We booked one night through booking.com. Photos on the website were really nice. The room itself looked nice and clean. And... it was a deal $90 per night (at a discounted rate). See photos included. The room looks more like a cheap motel.

// PRO Service was nice, people work here are very friendly and they are the only reason I did not rate this hotel at lowest possible. Upon checking in the lady was kind enough to let me know the room was not ready and offered $25 room service credit for compensate, although they still billed me for breakfast afterward. Oops. // CON The room has horrible sound insulation, siren/drunk couples/car honks from the street and parking lot across the street, as well as next-door kids partying kept my ... Read more

My husband and I purchased a living social deal which was a night at the annex at the Chelsea. Front desk staff was great, unfortunately, that's where "great" ended. We walked out of what appeared to be a clean, welcoming lobby to a motel quality, dingy, moldy section of the hotel. We tried to give it the benefit of the doubt until we pulled back out bed covers to find live critters in it running around. It's currently 1:56AM and we're driving an hour home because I'm so disgusted I needed to le... Read more

I was a little skeptical about the place before arriving. It was confirmed when we entered the elevator. Old and rickety. Even more confirmed upon entering our room. Let's start with the decor. Not one thing matched. The desk/dresser was old and worn. There was nothing warming about the room. The desk lamps didn't work. I was surprised we had electricity! Our bathroom was another problem; the door didn't close; it wasn't properly aligned. It was extremely outdated, and very, very small. The show... Read more

Upon arrival on the Labor Day weekend we were checked in by a lovely girl. Our room was ready. That was the only positive point of the visit. The room included 2 lamps - neither working, a bathroom you couldn't turn around in with 2 small towels and a sink that wouldn't drain the first night we were there (they did correct that when we reported it). The inside of one of the side tables was dirty, the top of the dresser was warped and very old looking. Then come the cleaning. One day two o... Read more

Thought we booked a room at The Chelsea only to find out upon arrival that we were in the Annex. Fresh paint over mold and leaks is still mold and leaks. The bathroom has not been updated and you could clearly hear water dripping in the ceiling from the room above. The carpeting in the hallways was old and in dire need of replacing. The Chelsea appeared to be chic but that is not what we experienced at The Annex. We were in town to participate in an Ironman event an ended up in a sold out h... Read more
