This is a roadside motel disguised as a retro themed boutique. If you are coming to AC for the beach, the location is awesome. You are steps from the boards and beach access, and the restrooms are right at the top of the path, which is a must for families. The staff was awesome, and the little restaurant was very delicious. The rest was terrible. The beds are just coils thinly covered with sheets. Except for the headboards. The furniture looks to have not been updated since the 70s; mismatched ... Read more

The room was extremely outdated, the windows did not lock, and the smell of the room was horrendous. The ride on the elevator to our 3rd floor was more frightening than any thrill ride I have ever experienced. I only wish I was able to give this hotel/motel a lower rating than terrible. Please take my word, any Motel 6 or Super 8 in the worst of areas would rate higher than this place, especially at the ridiculous prices that they charge. We would have been better off sleeping on the boardwa... Read more

Before booking this hotel I was already having anxiety reading all the negative reviews. Considering it was memorial day weekend and nearly everything was sold out we had no choice but to stay here. The location is prefect, right by the Tropicana, and a walking distance to Ceasers. The elevator is a bit sketchy, the halls smell a little funny but the room wasn't as bad as I expected. The bathroom needs some renovations, and bed sheets had a few stains on them but for the price and location o... Read more

There's really 2 parts of this hotel I think. I can't confirm but the pics on the site I think are more for the main tower. There's also an annex in which we were placed. We paid around $300 for 1 night and it was literally a motel room. The room and that part of the annex needed some really good upgrading. I didn't even really feel clean showering because the bathtub and bathroom were so old and not so clean. The beds were very comfy though. The service was great. We got there really ea... Read more

Like the other reviews say, the marketing is very misleading as they use some photos from the main building. We didn't get a great first impression as everyone other than is in the line at reception were there to complain about one thing or another. Our reservation for 2 rooms was only showing one room booking and when we did eventually check in our room hadn't been cleaned properly and the 'cleaners' had left dirty cloths in the room, hangers and iron on the bed and not hoovered the floor. I came out to the Annex to celebrate our wedding anniversary and as soon as we walked the room it was quite dark and the mirror had a few cracks in it as well but we didn't let that deter us. The list kept on building though the WIFI isn't good at all and housekeeping is subpar our room was dusty and our sheets had stains. Only Bright spots were the Annex pool and the location of the hotel other than i won't be going back.

I really should have done my own research prior to making a reservation at this hotel! 24hrs prior to my trip I was charged for the first night, the rest was to be paid upon check in arrival. The guest associate was clearly not up to par with a standard check in. I explained I was charged for the first night, which included tax, easy task right? Oh no she re charged me for the same amount again, and the remaining balance. When I asked for a detailed explanation of the charges, she took my ID and... Read more

My fiancé and I decided to have a last minute moment of relaxation over the weekend (June 25,2016) before our upcoming July 9th wedding so we decided to hit the beach and stay for an evening. I will say the woman who helped me book over the phone was lovely and the front desk person was also wonderful. We walked into our room at The Annex on the third floor and I walked out after just 15 minutes. The front desk was called and we unfortunately could not switch rooms or hotels so we decided to j... We booked a 1-night stay in the Annex. It was clean but definitely outdated and after seeing the Luxe side of the hotel, I definitely would have paid a little extra for a room there. We purchased the "Life's a Beach" package which was so great! We used the free beach services, 2 drinks at the beach bar, and the $30 dining credit which pretty much covered our meal on the gorgeous 5th floor restaurant. We also had breakfast at the first floor diner which was great and very reasonably priced. Over... Read more

Nothing like the pictures ??? I was embarrassed I even booked a room in this hotel... We made the best of it... Location is the only thing that nice about this hotel... I would never recommend... The bathroom is from the 70s and is gross! The view is terrible! The bed has a stain on it! The head board has scratches.... The desk was all scratched up!!! I would NEVER stay here again! However trying to make the best out of it because they already charged my card ???

We basically paid 4 star prices to be shoved in the back, forgotten about corner of the hotel and told to quit whining. Keep in mind when booking this hotel, the nicely updated and well kept tower portion of the hotel is the only part advertised. The annex is terrible. It's at a separate part in the back of the hotel and the quality is motel style at best. The restaurant in that portion of the hotel is much of the same. The service was bad as well. Our towels and sheets were stained and when ... Read more

Stayed in the Annex. Room did not have a refrigerator (as advertised) just a big empty hole in a broken and battered dresser where one should be. Also the remore for the TV was non-functional. The air conditioning, which could barely keep the room cool on an overcast day, rattled loudly and constantly. The King bed is on a platform which is larger than the mattress. My companion banged her shins on the corner at least 3 times during the brief time we were in the room Had breakfast at the... Read more
