Bed was small, Sofa was worn had a lot of stains no cushion in the arm rest . Hotel was dreary and on a strip where drug addicts and prostitute go, I felt unsafe there cut my trip short I wouldn't stay here again.

I would not recommend this hotel even for s short one might stay. The beds were hard and the rooms are old and dated. The place needs a facelift. It's located next to a recovery shelter so there's a lot of questionable people hanging around.

my only complaint would be that I was charged $1.50 per day extra for a room safe. the price I paid at check in was $3 more than I was quoted online, when I asked about it, they said it was because of the tax. I told them my printed e mail includes the tax. upon checking out I was given a detailed bill. when I got home and went over the bill, that's when I saw it. if you are going to charge for a room safe, I should have an option of whether or not I want it.

This hotel is in a very seedy area of town. The walls are paper thin and the Windows did not close so all night you could hear everything outside and there are lots of drunks steaming and shouting at all hours of the night and early morning. The hotel is very run down compared to many othe Howard Johnsons I have stayed in. We paid over $200.00 per room for two rooms in the off season. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Atlantic City location on the corner of Pacific ans Tennessee. Upon arrival, while in front of establishment my husband and I were offered drugs and prostitutes. We get to our room and find an envelope from the maid begging for tips (very unprofessional). Not to mention constant yelling, screaming, and what sounded like gunshots from outside. Look out of the window and you can see ladies of the night selling their wares. The bed was not comfortable. After a four hour drive you ... Read more

I tried to find the lowest price with decent reviews while still close to beach and casinos. I was very pleased. A few blocks walk to beach and boardwalk and then very short walk to the left was 2 casinos and great restaurants/night clubs. Then a longer walk to the right for shopping and more casinos and beach bar. Loved the location! (although I would never have walked it alone because the area was a little scary) The hotel was very nice with perfect sized pool. The room was nice and had ... Read more

The staff was rude in check in... I was there for a family emergency not a leisure trip, I am handicap and they gave me a room all the way outside in the back. Because I traveled for an emergency I needed a mini fridge & microwave in the room they told me they didn't have one. At night the had all kinds of street walkers in front and outside by the cars I was a bit worried. Not to mention the hotel staff parked in the handicap spot the whole week without a permit!

It was a nice spot to stay at. Room was clean. Clean linens and fresh towels always available. The staff was courteous and friendly. Restaurant next door made some good food. Pool looks nice. Boardwalk it's about 2 blocks away. No microwave though. Maybe something they can put in the rooms for future references. The neighborhood has it spoil apples but what city does not. But the environment does not effect the Inn. Thanks for the hospitality, respect & service.

When we arrived at the hotel there was limited parking. I checked in, went to the room I was assigned and the room was still being cleaned. I arrived at the check in time of 3pm and the room was still being cleaned. I had to carry all of my back down stairs to get things straighten out. be mindful that the rooms did not have any microwave or a refrigerator.

I usrd my Wyndham rewards, so i got a good price. Regular rates are a little high.at check-in iit was very nice that an employee walked with me to show me where to park and to see if i needed any assistance with anything.

I was pleasantly surprised with this visit. Upon arrival I was skeptical and questioned my decision to come down early (and alone) to avoid traffic. It looks like a rough area as this Howard Johnson is tucked into a side street across from a liquor store and a church. However, I was greeted in the parking area by a hotel employee who helped with my bags and led me into a nice lobby. Check in went smooth and there were no problems with my reservation. The room was average size with a king size ... Read more

So we stayed here for almost a week. The room was pretty cheap only 80 a day. When it comes to hotel or previous one I stayed at. It was pretty good for how big the room and bed are. This location is by the broadwalk probably a 3 mins walk. Also close to all the casino so if you looking for a cheap place to stay for the weekend I suggest this place.

From Mark and Gabrielle. We loved our stay and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The people were very nice and respectful to. Also they were kind enough to hold our key when we went to the beech so we didn't have to be afraid of losing it. The room was well stocked with towels and other needed things like shampoos and soups too.

We were only in the room for about 12 hours in total, and for that amount of time, it was ok. The lobby smells of smoke as did the elevator (which wasn't working when we left in the morning). The room was somewhat clean, and was certainly functional. Bathroom was also ok. Again, nothing great, but also nothing horrible either. For the price, it was certainly ok.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend at in August for 2 nights mainly based on the location and price. Unfortunately I left wishing we just paid more money for a better experience. We arrived and weren't sure what the parking situation was. When we got to the front desk, we waited for the 2 employees behind the desk to finish their conversation before acknowledging us. We walked to the room and the hallways smelled of smoke. The railings on the way to the room were rusted out and it looked ... Read more

The property was not horrible, but it was definitely dated and could be better maintained. I paid about $375 for one night for a standard room with a king bed. For that kind of money I would expect a superb property that is updated and well maintained. I wouldn't want to pay more than $100 for what I got. I felt taken advantage of simply because rooms were in short supply that weekend in Atlantic City. If I wasn't stuck for accommodations that night I would have left immediately.

Visiting AC for the weekend, we wanted to save money on the hotel booking. Knowing it wasn't $300+ per night like some of the other hotels, we weren't expecting much. The hotel staff was very friendly. They always welcomed us, talked to us, etc. They park your car for you. The area isn't too great, but most of AC is a little shady once you leave the boardwalk. It is one big block from the boardwalk... I'd say about 1/4 mile walk. There is a restaurant/diner connected to the hotel which had aweso... Read more

We stayed at the Howard Johnson in Atlantic City because we were attending a beach concert nearby. We parked in the parking lot adjacent to the building because then we didn't have to surrender our keys which we would have if we had parked underneath the building. There was no additional fee for parking which is not always the case when staying in Atlantic City. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about that. Let's preface this by noting that this is Atlantic City, which has a dual personality. The Boardwalk and casinos are geared for tourists and have a shiny happy face for the people who come from all over. But there also is the Atlantic City where prosperity never reached, a troubled city. And the Howard Johnson finds itself in the troubled part of the city. Walking to the Boardwalk, I walked past vacant lots, boarded up buildings, strip joints, homeless, hookers, drug dealers. Not a family atmosp... Read more

We stayed 3 nites from Labor Day, and the rates were very, very reasonable. One of us enjoyed the pool every day, which very few other guests used. Free parking is a real plus, and it's easy to take the car out & bring it back. The primary negative comment applies to most hotels/ motels that are not on the beach - too much of the Atlantic City properties were destroyed when the casinos came in, thereby leaving many empty and deserted pockets in the city. Some blocks can give you a creepy feeling... Read more

We stay at the Howard Johnson on Friday, September 9th before moving on to Resorts for 2 nights. The hotel was clean. The rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom was very small but clean. Beds were okay. We had two double beds and fit a cot in the room. The price for a Friday night was $110 including tax so that we did not expect anything more than a place to sleep.
