So pleasantly surprised how nice this inn was! We were in town for a surprise birthday party, and found this hotel online. DIdn't look like there was much else for lodging in immediate area, so I was a little nervous. But this inn has beautiful grounds, drive up access, everything on one level, buildings are set back from the road, very quiet and spacious room, and very, very clean! The owners clearly pay attention to details here - carpet, linens, bed, and pillows all relatively new and good qu... Read more

My $80 king room was better equipped, cleaner, quieter, and more attractive than most chain motels charging double the price. The staff was courteous, the flat screen TV large and HBO equipped, the bed comfortable... I could go on, but you get the picture.

We had read the reviews about this hotel and decided to give it a try. Well we were not disappointed. Room was LARGE, CLEAN and close to so much. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. This is our new gem and will stay here as often as we can. Looking forward to our next say and it will be an extended one. Can't wait, and the staff here makes you feel more at home than you can believe. Only thing I would like to see as an improvement is a larger fridge, otherwise this IS the place to stay in t... Park View Inn offers no more, no less, than your average 3-star hotel. We stayed here as a family, and I slept on the pullout bed. Beds were sub-par, but staff did provide extra blankets. AC was average, and often resulted in one of us feeling cold, as the person sleeping on the couch is positioned immediately beside the unit. There aren't really any bells and whistles beyond a picnic table located outside the motel. It's just average. Staff seem welcoming for the most part. We did experi... Read more

Very highly recommended from us. We can't say enough how much we love this place! We stay here very frequently and every time we're more than satisfied with the service and the room. The staff is extremely friendly and are always willing to meet most any request. The rates are very affordable (even on weekends/holidays/etc.) The rooms are spacious and clean, especially the bathrooms although I will say it seems like the rugs in the rooms are in need of a very good deep cleaning. The inn is just ... Read more

This property was a big and pleasant surprise . From the outside it looked like it was going to be an average cookie cutter hotel. I should note the outside of the buildings is very well kept , as is the surrounding property. When you walk through the door the first impression you get is wow. They are set up like very nice condos and I immediately felt at home. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The prices were well below what I would have expected to pay for a r... Read more

This place is perhaps one of the nicest motels I've stayed at. In fact I consider it to be a "hidden jewel". I stayed here for two nights, and found the accommodations very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. You can park your vehicle right up to your door which makes it easy to load and unload. The nightly rate is extremely reasonable, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Park View is a good no frill nightly stay. The front desk staff was pleasant and very helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable with a king bed, fridge,& coffee maker. I found the furniture although dated was in good condition. The rooms are off the highway making it quite. My only disappointment was the ad said it includes a free breakfast but orange juice and doughnuts is not a breakfast for a diabetic. This is the first motel in over 15 years that did not offer a real breakfast cho... Read more

Solid 3 star in my eyes. Bed was comfortable enough. I liked that there was fridge and coffee in room. Didn't stay for the doughnut breakfast. I asked for a crib and it came broken and with a dead bee on it so that was not impressive. Overall though it is hard to beat the price in that area.

This is a very nice roadside motel. It is a very clean well cared for motel that is well set back from the road. Large rooms with nice comfortable beds, good water pressure with lots of hot water . Flat screen TV, small refrigerator and good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was just doughnuts and juice but for the price that is not bad. The grounds are nice with lots of free parking, green lawn and picnic tables with umbrellas. You can hear the water running and talking in the next bathroom but it is not ... Read more

Very clean and nice but bare-bones. Good night's sleep. Difficult (almost dangerous) to get in and out with traffic right on top of entrance. Very spacious .Laminate floors much better than carpet. Nice place to stay, close to shopping and restaurants.

My wife and I traveled with our daughter and three grandchildren (ages 4,4,& 8). We had two adjoining rooms not far from the inn office, adjacent to a grass area setback far enough from the road so we didn't have to worry about the kids. This place is old but very clean and very well maintained. The office staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed here after a four-hour drive at the beginning of a three week vacation. Hi all, I have just returned from a two day stay at the Park View Inn and here is my review. I choose this hotel based on the followings: Trip Advisor reviews, budget accommodation, location location and location. Best value when we were there during peak summer season. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Slept straight through the night. Easy unloading as we were able to pro right in front of our unit. Friendly front desk at check in. Note: Bathroom taps have to be pulled toward you to switch on. If you check in late, there's a Chili's and McDonald's that will still be open. Two negative points - the incandescent row of lights above the basin are very dated and would be good to change these to a ... Read more

I'm always a little careful when choosing accomodation, which are not part of a larger chain. It can be hit or miss. I'd say this was a hit. Reception was extremely helpful and gave me a nice room in the back, where I could park just outside. Room was large and well equipped. TV was an older style LCD, but had tons of channels. There was a bit of an odd smell when I entered the room and I suspected someone had tried to smoke in the room. Seems like housekeeping had tried to resolve it by sprayi... Read more

They say they have nonsmoking rooms but that was not my experience. It is a motel with smokers sitting outside rooms. When we arrived, there was a man without a shirt in front of our unit smoking. We went inside and it reeked of smoke (as did the front office.) We were told they had no other rooms available and they "were sorry about the smoke but it just happens as it is right next to smoking rooms." They refused to give us a refund or help in any way. I had to go to another hotel and the... Read more

I have stayed here a few times. No extras really but the rooms are always clean and some rooms have kitchens in them. Easy to get to and not a lot of noise. Some of the rooms have a unique odor but nothing a little Febreze couldn't fix. It's cheap and close to most of everything in Salem.

I'm not sure why this motel is currently #1 for Salem. I booked this motel based on previous reviews. Based on reviews, I figured that at least the room would be clean as others have all said how clean the rooms are. As soon as we entered the room, there was a nasty smell. Another reviewer commented on the smell and said all it needed was a bit of febreeze. I agree, so why don't the motel owners spray each room when cleaning them? We kept the door open for a while to air it out. The room i... Read more

We needed a 1 night stay in the area of Methuen MA. We were lucky to come across this & such a low rate. Immaculate grounds, pretty. Very clean & just as comfortable as your big bucks hotels in the area. Had free donuts & coffee & orange juice for breakfast, just enough to take the edge off in the morning before your destinations. An 11:00 check out also! What more do you want for this price?

Well appointed rooms. Though this is a small motel off the beaten path, it strives to provide all the conveniences and services of bigger establishments. It has all you could need for a short stay. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Air conditioner was pretty noisy, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping. Towels are abrasive - better used for exfoliating than drying off.

I read the previous reviews and was very iffy about booking here but the price was excellent! We were going to a Red Sox game in Boston and knew we would be very late getting into the hotel so did not want to pay a lot of money. When we checked in at 12:30 am, the office reeked of smoke so luckily the check-in was very fast! After being assigned to room #26, we were taken back by the stench of who knows what (probably smoking in non-smoking rooms)! I sprayed but the odor was not eliminated... Read more

We were travelling through this part of New Hampshire on our way down to New York and were looking for a hotel for the night as it was starting to get late. This was a good price and reviews generally seemed positive. The head housekeeper chases you out of the room at 11 on the dot for mandatory cleaning and will shoo you off the property so the rest of the housekeepers can go through your stuff make sure you don't leave anything valuable around. Stayed on a Saturday night after a wedding in the area - September 2016. This motel is in a substantial retail area, and right by Rockingham Park Raceway. On a pretty busy road, but set back far enough that we didn't really hear road noise, and we did not have the air conditioner on. We did hear our neighbors on both sides and out back in the morning. Employees are so great, always smiling and so helpful. Asked for call if our room is available early, got a call at 11:30. Company Picnic held at Canobie Lake Park while Screemfest in full screem. We booked this hotel online through a travel site and it was so reasonably priced I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised. The location was easily accessible, the bed was comfortable, it was very clean and roomy. I will definitely stay there again if I am in the area. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the room when I got there, but a few minutes with the door open took care of that problem.

It's a basic motel, so you should expect exactly the level of service you get for this type of accomodation. However price was just great compared to the average of New England (booked through a deal on another website) considering you get a large clean room. A basic breakfast was offered with coffee and packaged donuts, but we declined to get something better from a local restaurant. I booked based on reviews for a cheap place to stay. It is a motel style property located near the I-93. It is an old property, on a large piece of land and hidden away from the main roadway. When you pull in, the entrance is narrow and the size of the property is deceivingly large. Well off the main road = no road noise. The room was clean and the bedding relatively new.
