This was the second time I have visited this location! Had a great stay with a friendly staff. Everyone says hello, from Maintenance to Front Desk to Breakfast Attendant. A housekeeper even stopped to say hello to my pup and have a short chat and that's a big deal considering they are trying to clean up the rooms for the day and be on out of the hotel to enjoy the afternoon! The downside of this hotel, I feel, is that it is located in somewhat of an industrial park. Therefore, there is noise... Read more

Kate at the front desk could not have been nicer, we had arrived early after a very long drive, and she kept us amused while they got our room ready. Hampton Inn are always a great choice, the difference between good and great is the staff. It is located a minute away from downtown, which is what we wanted we were in an RV, and we used the shuttle service to get around. The mall is right around the corner, Great location,

Hampton Inn in Portsmouth, NH was a great place to stay. People were very friendly and helpful. I left my i-Pad behind and called the Hotel. The young man behind the desk stopped what he was doing to check the room, but he could not find it. Later that day, when i thought all hope was lost that same young man called me to tell me they had found it, the i=Pad, it was stuck in the duvet. I was so happy with them.

Though the staff was very friendly, this hotel is tired and worn, and desperately in need of renovations, which I gather is planned sometime soon. Desk chair was uncomfortable, very noisy from a forklift working at the big box store next door, funky smell in the hallway.

This hotel is tucked back away from too much traffic so it was always quiet. The linens on the beds were very comfortable and cozy and we slept great. The hotel is in overall good condition, I didn't see anything that concerned me. The breakfast was your typical continental breakfast and was good with enough choices and supply to go around. There was a small fridge in the room. There are a couple of stores within walking distance. Very nice stay overall.

I stayed here with two of my friends last night. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant front desk agent who granted my request of having a room on the highest floor with two beds. Before we got up there though, I called my friend (in the most endearing way possible) a "b****" in the hotel lobby. Mind you, I wasn't amplifying my voice in crescendo and there was NO ONE in the lobby. The general manger then took it upon herself to exit her office and make a "b" line towards me then told m... For a property that is difficult to find and essentially next to a mall with no seacoast attractions within 5 miles, this hotel is usually overpriced. Checkin staff switched the online checkin room from a 4th floor corner to a 1st flood next to the elevator without explanation and clearly hoped i wouldn't notice. Bed skirt had food residue on it and clearly had not been cleaned in a long time

Stayed here with my girlfriend while visiting Portsmouth. The first thing that was tricky was finding the hotel, because it is nestled behind many different strip malls and even put our gps through a loop. The hotel is clean and nice, but it seems small, which I assume is simply because it's not meant to be that big. It's close to the airport and about a 10 minute drive from historic downtown Portsmouth. They have an okay breakfast and the pool and hot tub are nice. As far as the rooms go, one... Read more

The Hampton is very clean and the staff was extremely helpful! I love that they offer shuttle service to the city and to Kittery! It was great to have someone drop you at dinner and then pick you up later!

Requested late check out, was told by an unfriendly clerk that they would have to check with head of housekeeping around 8 or 9 the next AM. I said this wouldn't help. He said there was nothing he could do. We asked a couple of other people, and no one could help. Finally at 6AM once I told the clerk we only needed an extra hour he said that we could. Hotel also charges $50 for a pet fee which is high. Most similar hotels don't charge a fee.

I booked this hotel since I am a Diamond Member and stay at a lot of Hilton properties. The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay here which was for four nights. I recommend and would stay here again.

Comfortable room facing the front of the hotel allowed for a quiet, restful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location allowed us to be on the highway without too much trouble. Room rate for November was affordable. We will return.

The staff and room were excellent. Good place for the value and great shops/restaurants nearby. The staff made home style chocolate chip cookies for everyone that was warm and best I have tasted in years. The beds were very comfortable and we used the tub with jets to have a romantic time together. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

This is very nice hotel with very friendly staff. I had red eye flight and I was to get early check-in. The front desk attendant took care of my immediate needs and was very friendly. The rooms are spacious and beds are firm but very comfortable. The wall unit heater/air-conditioner was pretty quiet when you put into auto mode which sleeping easy. The room was well equipped refrigerator and microwave. The one drawback was there was not much storage space for packed clothes as my stay was f... Read more

My family had a great time staying at this hotel during the 2016 Thanksgiving holiday week. We had stayed here in the past-- Andrew, one of the hotel's friendly staff helped my mom plan a fantastic Black Friday excursion-- and we were pleased to return this year. This hotel's amenities far exceeded my expectations. Nightly manager's reception featured free (!!!) wine, Red Hook beer, and delicious snacks ranging from egg rolls to meatballs. Delicious coffee is available at all hours. Tasty break... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located in central Portsmouth. It's near stores, the mall and many restaurants. If you want to travel to The Kittery outlets is about a 5 minute drive. The also have a shuttle to take you just about anywhere you want to go. We took the shuttle to downtown Portsmouth and when we were ready we called and it was there to pick us up in about 10 minutes. We were on the 3rd floor and it was nice and quiet. They also had a managers reception on Friday night with beer, wine an... Read more
