The Centennial is my favorite place to stay for its modern, comfortable and clean rooms in a historic building. Its restaurant and bar are noted for their varied menu and bar choices. And judging by the number of filled tables at night, I guess others feel the food is delicious, too. I'm told the turn-of-the-century brick building, with its matching round towers at either end, once housed widows of Civil War veterans. Within half a mile from Main Street - Concord's main artery for shops, ... Read more

Since TripAdvisor doesn't offer four-and-a-half stars as an overall rating, I went with four stars for minor reasons. The rooms are well done but small (it was built as a home for Civil War widows). The restaurant is spacious but the bar area small (8 seats?). BTW -- bartender Crawford was most gracious and fun! The hotel abuts a residential neighborhood so it's not "downtown" (half dozen blocks from downtown, half dozen from the state office on the old hospital grounds). Really geared toward co... Read more

This historic building (formerly an institution of some sort, I believe) has been renovated into a beautiful, modern and upscale hotel and restaurant. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with ample seating, closet space and a clean, modern bathroom. The fresh baked cookies delivered to your room at night were an extra treat. Although I didn't eat there, the restaurant located downstairs has a good reputation. Main Street, with all the shopping and restaurants, is just a short walk down t... Read more

Nice quiet rooms. Morning Coffee, great food and bar in the hotel. Matt is very professional and accommodating of the last minute request for a roll away bed. Lucy is the star employee. Lucy pulled off a complimentary Continental Breakfast for the Hotel Guest on Christmas Day with minimal notice. Bravo - The cleaning staff is prompt and courteous. We never saw them, but noticed the work done. A very nice place to stay when visiting Mid-State NH. Walking distance to the downtown area. Ta... Read more

Our family decided to return to the area for Thanksgiving. We were coming from all over the east coast, and so we needed many special exceptions: the first person to check in would not be the one with the credit card. Two of us were checking in at 2:00 am. We needed a cot in the room. We needed extra towels, extra blankets, etc. Not once did the staff make us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. The rooms were nice with interesting art on the walls, and they stayed warm despite the chilly we... Read more

I stayed in Room 305 for three days. The room was a very nice suite with an average bathroom. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The housekeepers were very friendly and accommodating. The Granite Restaurant and Bar were excellent. Having lived in New orleans for more than 35 years, I am used to excellent food and presentation. The Granite Restaurant was excellent for breakfast (four times) and dinners (three times). The Granite Bar was fun and offered a very good wine list. Exceptional se... Read more

The hotel is a charming historic building which has been renovated to have a modern feel inside. We had a comfortable room and an updated bathroom. The restaurant offers a varied and complete menu with delicious food for dinner and for breakfast. The staff was helpful and responsive.

I had arrived in Concord, NH on a Saturday morning at approximately 12:30AM EST. Every Hotel/Motel in town was completely full as the Fall colors were at their peak. I was told there were no rooms available in town with the possible exception of the Centennial Hotel. Due to the lateness of the hour, miscommunications concerning directions coupled with Main Street having been made into a one-way thoroughfare at its most heavily traveled portion I did not find the property until after 3AM. They di... Read more

We spent but one night here, and came away very impressed. From complimentary coffee and cookies on arrival to a very comfortable and spacious room. The hotel was a little difficult to find as our sat nav took us to a place with the same address about half an hour away - but all ended well. Hotel restaurant expensive but very good. We enjoyed our short stay and would recommend the Centennial.

Hot cider on arrival quickly followed by complimentary coffee and homemade biscuits was a great start. The rooms are spacious and modern yet in keeping with the age of the building. Two queen sized beds, free wi-fi, great bathroom, comfortable beds and a great restaurant make it a really great place to stay.
