We were traveling from Reno and had booked a one nights stay in the Candlewood suites. We were so happy with our room. It was a newer hotel, clean and spacious. But the best part was the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet! It was just what we needed. Hope we can stay there again sometime. The staff are very friendly as were the people we met in town. So sorry we couldn't stay longer.

If you have to stay in Winnemucca, try not to. There are literally no other choices for hundreds of miles. Situated right off I 80 it is difficult to find anything quiet. You are either on the main Street or near the highway. Candlewoods are good for longer stays because they have kitchens and are a favorite among tradeys. This is one of, if not the newest hotels in town. It's too near the highway and right on the main street, but so is everything else. My big complaint is that the internet was ... Read more

The room is outstanding. Have stayed at a number of Candlewood Suites. Friendly staff, great location. Always enjoy my stay. I like having a full kitchen and regular sized fridge. The only thing missing is a pool and hot tub.

Our recent stay was very pleasant after a long road trip. We were met by a pleasant staff member who was helpful in making suggesting for local restaurants, as well as explaining hotel amenities for our stay. We were even more pleased when we arrived in our room to find it immaculately clean!

If you've every traveled much in Nevada you know that most hotels are casinos. It's so nice to find a good hotel that's not about gambling. This spot is clean, friendly and an excellent stop for a cross country drive.

The staff is very professional and extremely helpful. They will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. All of the amenities in the room are up-to-date and are perfect for anybody traveling on business. Even though this place does not have a continental breakfast, the rooms come with a small kitchenette and a full-size refrigerator. The grocery store is just down the street (Walmart)and you can pick up healthy food as opposed to eating from most of the continental breakfast of... Read more

I stop here about once a year and it is always nice. The rooms are nice and roomy, clean, and quiet. They have a kitchenette in each room with dishes and everything. The beds are so comfy, I always sleep well. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was a very nice hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and modern. It looked just like the photos. The shower was wonderful and the bed comfortable. Not sure if the A/C was working right since at one point we put the temperature down to 69 and still wasn't cool enough. After we had already checked out, we found out that our aunt, who was staying down the hall from us, had trouble with hers being too cold. She called the front desk and they told her to adjust it with the thermostat on th... Read more

This is a very new place, and the suites are very well equipped. Beds are comfortable and it was a spotless room. Great place to stay on a long journey. Minus one dot in the rating because there was no breakfast offered beyond the little honor-system store at the front. Breakfast is a standard at hotels costing much less than this one (although the suite amenities may make up for that for some folks). I'd recommend this place for anyone passing through.

Very nice place to stay, comfortable beds, clean room..... downside wish there was a pool and wish they served breakfast in the morning but other than that it was a very nice place to stay with very friendly check in staff. They do serve complementary apples and bananas as well as have two which was very helpful and convenient .

This was just a quick stop while traveling for us and that's why 4 stars-maybe 3 for me and my needs. It's new and clean. It has a full kitchenette where you could cook in a stovetop or microwave. Full fridge and freezer. So the perks are if you plan on staying this could be a fit. It does not offer complimentary breakfast which while traveling and the cost of the room is a minus for me. It takes travel time off not to grab and go on this stop. We arrived at 1 AM and the Internet was down... Read more

My wife and I stayed here on our way up to crater Lake and found this place absolutely fantastic. Dawn Who was the front desk manager at the time was very helpful with restaurants places to go and it was a wonderful person to deal with. The room was says comfortable and clean as what we have at home and a true pleasure to be in. I would stay here any time for your peace and happiness.

As truck drivers, we come through Winnemucca several times a week and have typically stayed at one of the local casinos. The local casinos are old and often outdated and accommodations are not always comfortable. This trip we had to go off our normal path into town and I see the Candlewood Suites and remember this is part of the Holiday Inn Family. Using my points we stayed here for free and wow what a nice stay. This hotel is just two years old, super clean, modern and has a small kitchen.... Read more

When traveling to Winnemucca NV i love to stay at the Candlewood Suites. Clean rooms and reasonably priced. All the kitchen items are in the room to use. Easy on and off the 80 freeway. Restaurants are fairly close by. They have a nice work out room too.

Very pleasant check-in. They accommodated me with my request of a first floor room away from the elevator. My suite was well appointed, clean and quiet with a full kitchen. I do wish they had a Keurig coffeemaker rather than a min-Mr. Coffee machine.

This hotel has the kindest staff, clean rooms great waiting room and has a pretty good location in Winnemucca ....I would recommend staying here on your next visit, the staff here is by far the best in the city. The aromas of the room are delightful. Also the shower pressure is most adequate:)

This property is clean, from the parking lot all the way to the room. The kitchenette was nice and tidy. We had our dogs with (both under 10 lbs) and they were treated great and plenty of outside dog area. The room was large and comfortable. Only complaint would be a lot of light in the room for sleeping it was a bit bothersome. Quality for price I would stay here again if in the area. We have a truck and trailer and had no problems with parking. Felt safe.

Was really pleased with the layout and room furniture quality (to include a very comfortable bed). The only complaint is that there were no luggage racks. This is a great place to stay two or more days.

I have driven through Nevada many times and finally found a hotel that made stopping here pleasant. If you are not into casinos and want a newer, clean, quiet place to stay with quick access from the I-80,this is the place. There is a small store in the lobby with food for purchase. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa and fruit are complimentary. The room had two queen beds and a kitchen with glass cups, plates, utensils and a full sized refrigerator and a microwave. We had some food so the kitchen was great.... Read more

This property stands out for being newly built in a town where every other motel/hotel appears to be from the 70s or earlier. Since it's a Candlewood Suites, they don't offer breakfast and morning coffee is only available from the little pantry adjacent the front desk. The room itself is spacious with the added kitchenette. The interior design is modern and upbeat. Our room was clean. The bed was great (we slept well). The bathroom was fine with good water pressure in the shower. Complimentary t... Read more

What a nice surprise. Wonderful to have a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay when making the drive through Nevada. With a full kitchen, great office space and comfy bed; I was impressed, Did I already mention that this place is sparkling clean? AND, the price was better than most others.

This hotel is very clean, quiet, dog friendly, and the staff is also friendly. We enjoyed staying in one of the king suites. It was big enough to live in. The kitchen is well equipped. If you need anything to eat, you can check out the Candlewood Cupboard where you can find many items to choose from. Fruit is complementary and so is the laundry facilities. This was our second time staying at this location.

I work as a field biologist and spend a lot of time on extended trips in rural areas. I spent 16 days here and I have to say it was one of the more comfortable experience I have had. The rooms are comfortable and provide a kitchen WITH all the utensils you need. Plus they have blenders and other kitchen appliances, DVDs, and board games for borrow downstairs. Good stuff.

This is a good bet for travelers, especially if they are staying several days and want a kitchen, desk area, all at a reasonable price. There is 24-hour fruit, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and an excellent breakfast place just down the road. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Room included "extended stay" amenities, i.e., fridge, stove, sink, dishes, microwave and coffee pot. Refrigerator was ready for use with ice maker with ice already available for use. A lot of counter space and storage space available as well. Excellent accommodations for an extended stay.

I thought the rooms were very nice for this type of hotel. It had a mini-kitchen where you could actually prepare a meal including dishes, silverware, pot, pans, etc. Two burner stovetop, microwave and full size fridge. Really good water pressure in the shower. The room was decorated very nicely and had plenty of desk/counter space. Everything looked new and fresh. Winnemucca does not have a ton of choices. This hotel is fairly clean. But...for being new there is already some signs of neglect. I was missing dishes, furniture was chipped, and the door was beat up. So, I would like to see more up keep. It is the best choice for the location, but it won't last as a decent hotel if someone doesn't start keeping the place nice.
