Stayed at the MontBleu which I remember years ago had been the Caesar's Tahoe. I think they are finishing a remodel and we were impressed with the rooms. The walk in shower and bathroom were amazing (definitely a major step up from the bathrooms of the Hard Rock Hotel across the street). Our kids were especially happy with the pool area. There is a huge waterfall and lagoon like area. The hot tub is much larger than most I've seen and in a unique almost three leaf clover shape which allows... Read more

Stayed at the MontBleu for 7 nights over Christmas. First white Christmas and it was amazing!! The hotel is in a great location for all the winter fun activities or you stay in at the hotel and enjoy the fun there. Room service was great, as was the pool and spa if you are looking for some R&R. Easily able to walk around to other places and check out the other venues and restaurants in the area. The hotel was also very clean which is high on my list of priorities!

Good for a couple of nights central location, good price, nice views. We have been regular customers of this one for many years, though no going that often. There is a huge swimming pool BUT it was closed during our stay. We were warned that the facilities would be closed for the second day of our stay but were warned at the last minute that it would be closed also during the first day. Not nice. We got a 25usd food voucher, after asking for some kind of compensation....for a 2 rooms 2 nights st... Read more

I have to say it's been a while since our last visit but it was a nice experience. It's clean, good location. Far better than any of the small motels in the area. Book early if it's a holiday season. The dining experience was at least 5 stars. The atmosphere was very nice. Check in and out customer service was wonderful. Parking can get a bit tricky, front parking area always full and it's quite a distance to go from the structure parking to your room if you're far up. Enjoyable overall.

This hotel on the Nevada side of Stateline is long overdue for an overhaul. The dated furnishings are tolerable but the entire hotel reeks of smoke. Walking through the hotel there are not an over abundance of smokers. So, I have to believe it's mostly poor maintenance of the ventilation system and filters. I suspect they not changed regularly - if ever! I was in a non-smoking room which really didn't mater because the ventilation system pumps in smokey air. Don't expect to open the windows for... We visit South Lake every year and are so glad we decided to stay at Montbleu this year. The rooms are recently remodeled, modern and roomy. Our two boys loved the pool! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Their 24 hour restaurant has a great menu to choose from. We came in late the first night so decided to eat there. We were pleasantly surprised! Over all it was a very nice stay!

The room itself was nice and a very large shower. However, the common areas were old, worn and very dirty. Our room was for 3 people and had two bath towels, no wash cloths and 4 hand towels when we arrived. We called and requested some and a blanket but they never came. We called again as we wanted to shower and go to sleep. Finally, received them but no blanket. We stopped a housekeeping person in the hallway and asked for a blanket and she had no idea what a blanket was! Did not speak... Read more

Got a real good weekday deal for two nights in August so I gave this hotel a try. Remodel job on the hotel was beautiful. Hotel room is modern and spacious. Love the indoor pool. The hotel is grouped in a location where the main casino type hotels are situated. I don't gamble so I spend most of my time walking around, shopping, hanging out at the beach and indoor pool. I recommend this hotel and I plan to be back in the winter.

It's not worth the money. The front desk manager proudly stated that they are 3 star hotel , and not a 4 star as it presented by Expedia. The concierge service is useless, most of the time it's closed. Be aware, since concierge service is not helping you to book anything you do all your booking, and then the front desk presenting you with the phone bill with long distance charges (for local call)!? They even charge you $1 for each call within the hotel ( just unheard of). Cleaning service is not... Read more

Blackjack pays out 6:5 AKA: not really a "reward" for hitting blackjack AND their lucky play is another skimp so 2 nothing-lucky-about-it rewards for getting lucky. As a local, I've played at all the casinos and Hard Rock is much more worth it. MONTBLEUs new management also got rid of their $2 coronas and patron shots so it seems like they are trying to save money, skimp, and swindle the dwindling customer base. This property is showing its age, and management is showing their disinterest in appealing to a high standard crowd. We had to walk around the pile of dirty linens left at the door to our room for 3 hours. There were several rooms on our floor with similar piles. The double queen room on the 8th floor had an updated bathroom, but it was poorly laid out and had terrible lighting. I attempted to take a shower in the early morning. I got into the shower and noticed excessive amounts of hair all over the place. It was pretty gross but everything else appeared to be fine, so I blew it off. But then, when I went to grab a towel to dry myself off, I notice that the towels were dirty. Not just dirt dirty, it literally had skid marks from someone wiping their butt with it. The housekeepers hadn't even changed the towels, they must have simply looked at one side and decided it w... As a non smoker casinos are a toss up on if I can handle them or not. Most have a good filtering system but this is an older hotel casino so this is not the case here. They have some good deals in the restaurants but the smoke smell is so bad and since they are right in the middle of the casino floor you cannot even enjoy your meal. They have a nice little casino but until they get the air quality back I won't be visiting them again.

I usually avoid hotels that charge a "resort fee" (this is NOT a resort, and non-optional fees should be included in base price. Harrumph!). But as a repeat guest of this place back when it was Caesar's, I wanted to check out the renovations. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and our 17th floor room had a nice view. Bottled drinking water costs $3 per small bottle. Tacky. Basic wi-fi is slow and high speed options cost extra. (Um, what was that 'resort fee' for again?).

Ive been going to Montbleu since it opened. For the first few years it had the best customer service and offers. The past two years have shown a dramatic downhill direction for both. I think the new management must be micro-managing all employees and you know what happens then. Many of the best hosts and employees who had a huge following, and who took care of the "regulars" have been let go. The offers now are virtually non-existent. You have to beg to get a room.
