I personally made a trip up here several months ago to book and pay for not only one condo but two. Since my son is getting married this weekend, as the mother of the groom, I requested the Tower Room, where the entire wedding party was going to be. I received a confirmation for both rooms in the Tower Room. When I checked in, imagine my surprise when they put me in the Plaza building and had no room in the Tower Room for me yet had my daughter booked in the Tower Room. They had a room if I... Read more

It took 1/2 an hr to register, even though we came at 6:30pm , 2 1/2 hours after check in time. They could not find our reservation. There was only one party before us and one supervisor and a trainee that obviously did not want to there. The keys to the room did not work and it took some more time for security and new keys to come. The room wan hot - 90 degrees! Hotel engineering was suppose to come and check but we did not hear anything after we came back from a late dinner and the room was st... Read more

We stay at the Ridge resort regularly. Normally, we are at Naegle bldgs that have 2bd 2ba town homes with large patios. This time we were at Cascade bldg which was a 1bd room suite connected to a one room unit to make support our 2bd request. The price was right. Pleasantly surprised, spacious room and large bath rooms - 1bd room had jacuzzi tub. Small balcony off the 1 bedroom. This bldg has closer easy access adjacent Terrace bldg to kids club, mini golf, and the knoll pool. We took advantag... Read more

We visited the resort for a tour of the time share. The places are beautiful and full of amenities. We were quite impressed! I'm sure it's more lovely in the winter when the slopes are covered in snow. We'll have to go back and see it then. The staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Booked as a Getaway through Interval International and was a total steal for a one-week stay. The resort has much to offer, including great views, spacious rooms and abundant amenities. My husband and I stayed in a Deluxe Hotel Room. We initially thought we would try to upgrade to a one bedroom suite to have more space, a full kitchen and laundry. But after arriving in our room, we found it to be bigger than our own Chicago apartment and included serving and flat ware and a mini fridge big enoug... Read more

We had previously stayed here an we're excited to stay. We got a good price thru the Internet. When we got there they couldn't find our reservation and finally after a call to management, they put us in the computer. They said they we putting us up in one of their properties but we would have to get a shuttle back and forward to the resort. On first impression of THE POINT the elevator was dirty and we had to park on the road. The room was clean and old, they had tried to modernized it but the ... Read more

I exchanged a week here through Interval International. I called a week in advance to request a good view, as we were celebrating my husband's 73rd birthday. At other places this is usually accommodated. You can see what we received. We were above the entrance to the building where people sat and smoked cigarettes. We checked out 3 days early and no one bothered to ask why. They just don't care. The units are nice, but that does not make a vacation experience. Hope you have better luck.

I couldn't figure out how to edit my previous review so I will write a new post on mour experiences. The Ridge is a decent place and had there not been over 100 in our group attending a wedding on a holiday weekend, it might have been fine. However, if you are considering the Ridge for a large wedding, make sure you know what you are getting into. Even though people did not check into their rooms until much later than the checkin time, many rooms were not ready. Reservations for many in our ... Read more

My family checked-in the Ridge Crest on Friday night, September 9, 2016. The furnishings were adequate and the room was clean. We enjoyed the banana bread in the refrigerator but wished that there was complimentary coffee to have with the bread for breakfast. Since the Ridge Properties are a 10 minute drive from the Raley's, we did not venture down the hill. Unfortunately, after a nice afternoon at the Upper Angora Lake, we returned at 6:00 p.m. to a blasting alarm and a non-working elevat... Read more

What a wonderful resort and views. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I really am glad they have such great shuttle service in the resort area. the area is steep and can be tough for some to walk up. Also coming through the security gate with my motorcycle would have been rough on my clutch, but the staff could see me coming and had the gate open. So thankful and wonderful they did that for me. The spa's on the roof were fabulous to relax after a day of sightseeing and gambling. I enjoyed m... Read more

My family really enjoyed this and wished we had booked a longer stay to take advantage of the facilities and scenery. We stayed in the Summer and it was beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom condo and it couldn't have been nicer. I believe we were in the most modern tower, so you may want to ask about this when you book. Our bed was probably one of the nicest we've slept in. The kitchen was ample and fully stocked. The pool was nice...but windy up in the mountains. Lots to do and see and ... Read more

We stayed here for a week and will definitely go back. The suite was clean and well furnished with the outstanding view of the valley and the evergreen trees. The kitchen had all the things you need and the place reminded me of a condo. The staff was pleasant and very accommodating. A free shuttle is available around the complex as well as to downtown. No need to drive if just going to visit Heavenly or the casinos.

We were visiting the ridge for our first time and this place is huge and has no direction to check in. Our timeshare was off site, so how would know what to do. It was a train wreck and we should of received a call prior to leaving giving us check in, into our room. Room was just okay. Transportation was good around the resorts. Pools were super crowded and very small for an independene holiday. Not sure I would come back, as were locked out three times, due to key cards not working. At 2a... Read more

I am an owner at the Ridge Tahoe for over 20 years. This property by it's location and style has always been a top notch resort. In recent years they have cut back on some typical services such as soap, and shampoo and charge for the internet. Some of the buildings have not been updated as frequently as in the past. The couches in the Cascade Building were clearly worn. The location however, remains perfect at the Heavenly, Stagecoach run entrance. Are they making cutbacks on their stellar rep... Read more

We have been owners here for 20 years and have made so many great memories here. We have considered exchanging our week but our children love the place and feel comfortable here. Truly we have not tried the dining in some time because we are happy with the kitchens and (years ago) we weren't happy with the meals. However, the staff is friendly and responsive. The rooms are clean and spacious. We love visiting every year! Laundry is convenient (and included). Skiing is close! Sine Heavenly... Read more

This is our second time staying here, 6 years between visits. We decided to stay here again because we could exchange for a 2 bedroom unit and could have a full kitchen. The staff is friendly and there are several good options for fitness and relaxing on site. The decor and fitness equipment could use some upgrading. The linens, carpet and laundry machines look really old and worn. I would also suggest opening the fitness room earlier than 7am. There are lots of people that would prefer to... Read more

We gathered at the ridge with family and had 2-2 bedroom suites and 2 single bedrooms. We were thrilled with the location, it has so much to offer and all the employees were so helpful. Our family loved it, the kitchen was huge, with full size fridge in the suites and the one bedroom also had a mini fridge and sink. We cooked a couple breakfasts there and a couple dinners, and had plenty of room for all 14 of us to eat and play cards. Our beds were Sleep number beds and so comfortable. Loved ... Read more

Stayed at the Ridge for two nights for a wedding in early October. Stayed in a 2 bedroom room in the Naegle 10 Building at the top of the hill. GREAT location and very impressed overall. Room was large, nice Tahoe decor, cozy fireplace, clean room and very quiet. Hot tub located outside of room in common area of the building was very convenient. Kids loved it. We stayed here for a wedding. The resort is in the Heavenly ski area. We were in a 2 bedroom suite. The beds have sleep number mattresses. The bathrooms are large. This would be a nice resort if you come to Tahoe to ski. There gym is in the main building. They have a handful of treadmills & stair masters. Our suite had a kitchen. There was an issue with our reservation at checkout. There are not a lot of eating choices in he area.

I didn't do my research when I booked this hotel. I just searched for the best deal. As we are coming into Tahoe I realize it wasn't where I thought it was. The drive is beautiful. It was the first snow and the views are to die for! We had a little hiccup at the front desk that was quickly solved. Michael the manager was so sweet. He comped $20 off the bistro. The reception area reminds me of a traditional lodge. It was beautiful. We get to our building. As soon as we get close to the door a sta... Read more

Positives: unit was very spacious. Parking was very easy. Location was convenient. Massage at the spa was very good. Negatives: room was very dated. There are two restaurants. First off, we are owners here. However, prior to being owners, we exchanged in many times. We take advantage of the tennis program, ( thanks Adam) wine tasting with Jim, and dinner in the Hungry Bear. The chef is excellent, the service as well. If you have any questions at all, ask Tom. Many of the employees have been here for years, and their professionalism is apparent. The rooms are very nice. First time visiting Lake Tahoe. The Ridge is a wonderful and relaxing location up the mountain a few miles away from all the sounds and activites on the lake. We loved it!! I have stayed at The Ridge several times. I should probably buy a time share. The tennis is what keeps bringing me back. I am a 3.5 rated player and am always looking for a tennis game, clinic or drop-in doubles whenever I am on vaycay. The courts at the Ridge are in great shape. They have they only indoor court in Tahoe, which allows for activities even in the rain and snow. The court was just recently beautifully resurfaced. We are Vacation Club members who came up for a 3 day weekend. We stayed in the Crest building because we needed to use some points, but we didn't have that many and the Crest charged fewer than the other properties at The Ridge. Been coming here for years as owners. My whole family has bought as owners here and we love the place of you have small children there is a ton for the kids to do all over the resort from different sports and activities to a gaming center. Amenities are great as you have your own full kitchen, bbqs and hot tubs on the roofs or even in your own room and plenty of space for tons of people to crash. Shuttles to city and great hiking trail right on resort. Also access to heavenly w own lift.

This condo complex offers a nice open living/dining/kitchen area, two good-sized bedrooms with full baths, a garage, and washer/drier. It always works well to have a full kitchen for breakfasts and dinners, and there are grills on the patio.
