I chose this hotel to stay at while in the Reno area, because it is located in nearby Sparks, away from the rundown downtown area of Reno, which has become quite bad in the past number of years. The location of the Nugget is very convenient, right on the freeway, with easy access to other casinos, and the roads to Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Virginia City. It is also very close to the Legends outlet mall for great shopping. The hotel itself is well priced, and one of the better buys. However, ... Read more

Found a great rate and the room was nice. Was in the West wing 5th floor. Advise not to take room on highway side. Even on the 5th floor the noise level didn't afford me much sleep, but the bed was very comfortable. About 10 minutes to the airport when you have to be there at 4:30 in the morning!

We really liked this resort hotel in Reno. Our room was on the 25th floor and it was huge, had a massive flat screen TV. coffee maker in the room which is not always t he cases big resort hotels. The room was clean, we think it was remodelled, although the decoration was not to our taste - lots flowers on the wallpaper and carpet....we had breakfast in one of their Cafe, very good and reasonably priced. Included car parking and wifi as well. Reno as city is a bit of hole, but good base to Lake T... Read more

Go and stay somewhere else!!!!I was in Reno for a convention two weeks ago that was being held at the casino and I am less than impressed. It was a 5 night stay WITHOUT air conditioning!! The entire hotel/casino was HOT, the entire 6 days I was there. It was so uncomfortable. We would have gone somewhere else but I was attending a convention there at the casino all weekend and needed to be onsite. There is no excuse for a place this big to be without air conditioning for any amount of time. You ... Read more

It was an ok place to stay, the hotel was big, average room and service. 15 mins drive to downtown. The buffet was average, not a lot of variety, they charged more on Friday night but they didn't advertise that.

The hotel smells like cigarette smoke in all common areas. Service varies. I did have a good check in experience, however, they asked if we wanted a $10 hotel credit for not having our room cleaned during our two night stay. It's a hotel, right? There is no room service menu in the room. You have to call and have it brought to you. Once you get it, then they tell you it will be at least an hour for your order. Head to Rosie's cafe in the hotel and wait 20 minutes just to get waited on for a to-g... Read more

I came to this hotel in a bit of a crisis and the help and compassion I received from all areas of the hotel property blew me away! I cannot wait to get back on my feet and come tip accordingly. Mountains were moved, help was given by every area from the shuttle drivers, the bartender in the bar monday tuesday nights at bar by the front desk area, the girls at the front desk, the amazingly kind girls at the Starbucks and the bell men as well. Some names I got, David, Austin, Michael and Javie. A... Read more

We enjoyed the Nugget. Pros: loved the room, spacious, hair dryer, coffee maker, fitness facility, pool, clean and comfortable beds. Cons: Ice makers on several floors didn't work so had to go searching for ice. Went to Rosie's cafe and it took forever to be served. Went to the buffet which was expensive and not a lot of choices. Not worth the money in my opinion. All in all it was a good stay and we would stay again just wouldn't eat at the hotel. Starbucks was good and convenient.

We were traveling through Reno/Sparks and decided to stop in for a night. Very clean, friendly staff and a great value. Rooms were clean and comfortable as well as quiet. The food at Gilley's was awesome - especially the prime rib!

Was there to see our grandsons baseball games and a mini get away. Had a great time and liked the casino. My room was comfy and big for the price we paid.. The beds were also big and comfy. Food at the buffet was good for the price. Enjoyed the midnight steak and eggs special at Rosie's cafe. Plenty of parking and felt safe all the time we were there. Would stay here again.

I stayed in Nugget Casino Resort just for night with my friend but it was absolutely perfect! The staff in the lobby for check in/check out was very nice, the room was nice and clean, the view from our room was breathtaking! The nugget casino is only 10 minutes far from downtown Reno by cab/uber. We went to a concert in another Casino Resort and it was 10 minutes far from Nugget too. The free parking for guest it was perfect too! I suggest to book there! I posted a photo here with the view fro... Read more

If you're after Vegas of 20-50 years ago. Low room prices and food with a casino this is the place. It has high speed internet in the room with good speed. Don't look for anything 'extra' but at about $30 a night you can't get anything better! Will return there.

We stayed at the Nugget for one evening on the way to someplace else, because I saw a "deal" online. It was 30 dollars for the room, but then you end up paying about 20 dollars more in taxes. Still, that's not a bad price. I'm not a gambler so I can't speak to that part of it, but the room was not very comfortable. The fan was super loud, and the pillows were half-sized and uncomfortable. My husband woke up with a terrible neck ache. I got about an hour of sleep due to the noise from the f... Read more

Ok... We were coming back from San Francisco and debated on which hotel to stay at in Reno. There are many to choose from. Don't pick the Nugget. I have stayed at Circus Circus, Atlantis, GSR No problems, no worries. We decided on the Nugget since we never stayed there. The pictures looked nice and the price was good... for the moment! We arrived on Monday. June 20 around 8:00pm. Parking was full and we parked way at the back. Not a big deal but it is a long walk if you have a lot of luggage. I ... Read more
