"Went to Reno for just an overnight trip midweek. Got a great deal on a Grand Suite - beautiful room on the 18th floor. Room was large with big leather chair and sectional sofa. Nice touches like reading lights and sound machine, sufficient plugs and free Wifi. Had a small frig an microwave - perfect for leftovers. Bathroom was decorated in marble with huge shower. All staff I came into contact with were very friendly and welcoming, including the guys in Valet parking. Bear claws in the pick up cafe next to Starbucks are to die for! Saw a movie in the little theater on A level and peeked in bowling alley - looked very modern. Place was pretty empty midweek and so the casino was wide open and not smokey at all. Was disappointed they were renovating the gym and pool and hot tub still closed. Overall I would so go back to Grand Sierra and stay again - the room was so great I wish I could have spent another night!"

"Overall great hotel. Never had a bad experience there. First, the price was amazingly cheap for a great hotel. I booked two rooms for the price of one. We stayed really comfortably and the kids had lots of fun. Thou the rooms we stayed in were not updated but the beds and pillows were comfortable. Rooms are definitely big enough. The only thing was that they would charge you for a late check out for $20. I never had to pay if I leave at 1:00pm instead of 11:00. I had shopping to do! That was the only downside."

"Everything was overall good except for two things. First when we arrived there to check in the front desk lady forgot to mention which floor our room was so we had to spend time looking for our room. Secondly the Wifi service was horrible, so bad that we couldn't use the Wifi that we were paying for. Thats about it."

"The hotel was fine, although their website said they has 24 hr shuttle service to the airport which was not the case. We had a very early flight which meant we had to pay for a taxi. I don't recall seeing anything about a 'resort fee' which we were charged upon check out. We literally spent 12 hours at the hotel and that seemed unnecessary since we didn't use any resort amenities."

"Staff was friendly but was told bath with jets in room,false,internet would work on and off,and t.v. channels were fuzzy,not clear h.d. Bed was very good ,but place was 3 miles from everything downtown, so you had to take a cab or take the bus to go to all the other casinos....As far as things in room ,had lots of stuff for being comfortable......Iwould look for places downtown myself,but overall place was ok......."

"We had the most amazing time at the Grand Sierra. We met all of our children there that are in the military and spent 3 nights and had the best time. All I can say is we have nothing bad to say because everything was wonderful from the rooms to gambling to all os us watching football together on Sunday. They have a great variety of food so you really never even need to leave."

"Close to airport. Easy to get downtown. Easy to get on US 395 or I-80.

Plenty of parking. You don't have to walk through a mile of casino to get to the elevators, like many Las Vegas hotels.

Clean large room. My non-smoking room did not smell like smoke. Housekeeping did a good job every day."

"Repai had duct tape holding part of the night stand, other than that room was nice, well furnished, However dinner was extremely expnsive, good but over priced, Room service was horrible, as if the staff didnt have an idea of what was on the menu. wating time was so long we cancelled. Breakfast at the restaurant was 45 minutes not including the 10 minutes to place our order once we were seated"
