"Nice hotel; enjoyed not having a casino on site. Get a day pass at the spa as it's a wonderful, relaxing experience. Wonderful in suite dining (try the eggs benedict!) Only complaint is that there was no coffee maker in the room. Having a kitchenette was great to store leftovers and snacks, but would have been nice to have a few plates/cups. Responsive staff, loved the pool and location. Room was spacious and nice size tub for two."

"Hotel was amazing! Went to Vegas for a 4 day trip and stayed at the Vdara - in the 'Vdara Suite'. The suite surpassed all my expectations - clean, quiet, friendly staff and all the amenities I could ask for. The suite was very spacious and I really liked that the kitchen was equipped with a full fridge, stove, microwave and Keurig machine (called the front desk and had plates, cutlery and pans delivered to my suite in minutes). The location was great and I liked the fact the hotel didn't have a casino, this meant no smoke and quiet when you wanted to get away from it all. Will definitely go back to the Vdara on my next trip to Vegas."

"My husband and I were so impressed with the updated look and feel of this Vegas hotel, as well as the extra amentities, that we didn't mind the fact that we had to visit other hotels for a little entertainment. Luckily, several hotels were accessible through the tram or a short walk along the strip.
This was an ideal spot for what we wanted. We wanted a place where we could relax, away from a party atmosphere, and at first we didn't know if that was even possible in Vegas, but Vdara suit our needs just fine! It's a great place for couples (I wouldn't recommend the place to families) looking for a high-end hotel at a reasonable price that wants to steer clear of the wild Vegas nightlife when you're wanting to rest.
I do wish there were more options of restaurants in the hotel to choose from; we often ate at Monte Carlo's food court and Aria restaurants. And we would have liked that the refrigerator was a bit colder to keep our drinks and food at a cooler temp. But these are all just minor. The customer service was impeccable and the rooms are exactly how they look in the pictures! We will consider this hotel again next time we visit Vegas."

When we arrived at the Vdara, we had to wait 3 hours for the room. We had already travelled 13 hours by plane, waited 5 hours for connecting flight to Las Vegas, and then to be told we had to wait was quite dissappointing, and tiring, as we had not slept for about 22hours.
We were told we would be upgraded, but when we went to the room, it was as we had booked and paid for 6 months before , in Australia."

"In one word- phenomenal.
We arrived and were checked into our room very quickly and easily-- be warned about that $25/day resort fee. It does grant you wifi access, turn down services, bottled waters, pool and work out facility access though.
When we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded us from a deluxe suite to the City Corner Suite with panoramic views. We had a view of the Rio, Palms and the mountains surrounding Las Vegas... pretty awesome. The room was very well appointed, the bed was incredibly comfortable. I wish we could have taken the linens or ordered some-- high thread count and very soft. Since our room jutted out, we had no neighbors-- we heard no noise from adjacent rooms. It was a peaceful retreat.
One thing that sets VDARA apart from all other luxury resorts in the area, including Aria and Bellagio (which its both connected to) is the lack of gaming. It made for a very quiet experience overall... people weren't walking through, there wasn't the noise that is associated with casinos... yet they were only a few steps away.
With access to the City Center Tram, it is also convenient to Crystals, the luxury retail and night life center, the Cosmopolitan, Monte Carlo, MGM Grand and the Strip.
If you're looking for a quiet luxurious retreat with access to the excitement of the Las Vegas Strip, I highly recommend the Vdara."

"Vdara is a very modern hotel and from the entrance of the hotel lobby to the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was always ready to help and answer any questions, I used the concierge service and they went so far as to find out who was performing at a comedy club I wanted to go and see and they took my reservations over the phone and I received a nice discount using my free M-card they will give you upon check-in.
The room was so beautiful and clean with the biggest bathroom i've seen in a hotel room, it had a deep soaking tub with a separate shower and the tub also has a hand sprayer. This room had all the touches you could think of and the bed was extremely comfortable. I will definitely stay with Vdara again."

"We chose the hotel because it is non-gaming and non-smoking. We were not disappointed. The hotel compared to others smelled amazing. When we walked into the hotel, it was a welcomed retreat from all that was going on on the strip. The pool was great as well as the comfortable lounge chairs. Pool was never overly crowded. Downfall was that there is no coffee in the rooms. Housekeeping did accommodate immediately when plates and utensils were needed. "This is the fourth time we return back, over all, everything is fine. We check in with a upgrade room right at the elevator, my bf doesn't want to hear the ring from the elevator so we ask if we can change another room. They gave us a smaller one instead. The room looks like haven't have people live in for a while so there's dust on the desk next to the bed.Our weight scale is not working, we talk to the house keeper but get no respond. on the second day I leave a note on the scale ask to change it, they take it away and never return it.
besides that, everything is ok.Nice location, nice pool, friendly stuff. We have really nice experience with them before so we will give another try in the future for sure."

"My husband and I like to spend 1 night a month at a different hotel on the strip even though we live here in Vegas. It gives us a better feel for our town and amenities offered. In regards to the kitchen, it's not a functioning kitchen, so I'm not sure why that's listed? It's odd not to see anything not even a fork or spoon. No paper towels to heat anything in the microwave and not enough towels provided in the bathroom if you wanted to clean up. Even though it was just the 2 of us, I would have expected a few extra towels/especially with a kitchen! The room was nice, but I guess I expected it to be larger too/the pictures on line appear to be larger. The staff was incredibly nice. If you don't use valet, you're out of luck! I'm not sure where the parking is, but we had to park next door/not easy. The atmosphere was wonderful and nice not to hear the ringing of slot machines, so a nice quiet getaway."

"We had read many of the comments before choosing Vdara, so we knew we would need to ask for kitchen utensils, plates, bowls, etc. The non smoking resort was very nice, but wish the pool were open later. Rooms were cleaned daily and housekeeping did a fantastic job! The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view on the 53rd floor. There was also easy access to the Bellagio, Aria, and Monte Carlo, which in turn allowed you to get to the strip easily. We were disappointed that the Vdara didn't have restaurants, but there were many to choose from at other places. Also wished the rooms had coffee cups and a coffee maker, but we made the tram ride to Monte Carlo, Starbucks for coffee. All in all, very accommodating staff and great room! Don't forget to bring extra money for the hotel fee ($28 per day), which is a part of every hotel in Vegas."

It is very conveniently located and easy to access. The hotel is extremely clean, smells amazing, has a good clientele it seems and affordable with the deals you can find online. The staff is efficient and helpful. The daily resort fee is a drawback and upon check-in I had some trouble with trying to leave a credit card without a ridiculously expensive hold being taken, but that is to be expected by most upscale hotels it seems. "We booked 2 nights at the Vdara. We absolutely loved the fact that the entire hotel was non-smoking! The room (deluxe suite) was great and very nicely decorated. We booked a Cabana for the day and that was wonderful - great service, very attentive. There weren't a lot of dining options on site, but the City Center offered a number of restaurants. The only thing I would suggest to improve our experience was that a cofee machine would be provided in-room.
Note re staff rating - computer systems were down so they had to do everything manually and that slowed the check in and check out process."

"This is an aboslutely beautiful hotel. Very modern. It smells good as it is smoke free and they constantly have some sort of scent circulating in the air. Our room was beautiful, clean and down right perfect. We opted to not get our room cleaned one day and they left a voicemail asking if we need anything. We asked for towels and they were brought up asap. Love this place... BUT... It is such a long walk from the strip it's not worth it. I know, I know. I sang high praises of this place. Mind you it's a lovely place. But it's just tooooooo far from the strip. It's literally a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the strip. Or you can opt to go down the street and risk getting hit by a car...but it's still far. It's a same such a nice place is so far from the strip. The location is great and you can easily get to anywhere on the strip. The view from the hotel is fantastic...a panoramic of either the mountains or the casinos. "The hotel is a beautiful, clean hotel with friendly service. We mostly interacted with the valet staff who were all very nice. The assistants in the workout facility were also great. If this hotel were in a regular downtown or suburban setting I'd rate it even higher. The problem is, it's nested inside the City Center which is nested on the Vegas strip. The hotel seems like an afterthought in the City Center, or at least like a 'spare hotel' (even though it is, again, very nice just short of luxurious. There is no casino, no restaurant, no shows, and a small pool. The parking is free but valet-only which actually worked just fine. The valet guys got your car out faster than you could walk into the ramp for it in most cases. Still, it's a little hard to get in and out of, but I suppose most strip hotels are. If you're looking for a quieter place that's still 'on' the strip then this is your place. The room was great with a full kitchen and laundry, another big plus. The only complaint we had with the room is that it wasn't very 'user friendly' in terms of placement of some things. There aren't may hooks or towel bars for hanging things and we found the controls for the blinds to be confusing ... although we had a corner suite that had LOTS of different blinds to open and close. In a regular suite there's probably just one set of controls for one set of blinds. We'd stay here again if we saw a good special or package but we would probably move on to try some other hotels in the future as well, or go back to our favorite, the Encore. But if you want a quiet lobby experience and more businesslike atmosphere it is a good choice and the staff do a good job. Oh, and one more thing, our room DID have a Keurig coffee maker! We called ahead and they told us they DIDN'T so we lugged our own along, only to find one sitting there. Call ahead if this is a concern and have them double-confirm that your style of room will have one!"

"My boyfriend and I are a couple in our early 30's. We were hoping to party and relax. This hotel delivered on all angles. The hotel staff was super friendly. The concierge got us on the guest list for all of the hot clubs on the strip. The fact that it is a non-gaming hotel is definitely a plus as it prevents long walks through lobbies and crowds to get to your room. Once you are in the hotel, it is a hop skip and a jump to your room. It also made for quick check-in and check-out. If you dont walk through the other hotels, you can be on The Strip in 5 minutes (seriously-we timed it). It would take that long to get to front door from casino hotels located on the strip anyway once you wait forever for an elevator, trek from the tower your room is in to the lobby, and fight through the crowds. This hotel is definitely worth the value!! I would recommend it again and again"

I know they where n the process of putting one in, but then have a tub of cold beer water and soda ? Also piping in loud bad music really makes the experience of sitting by the pool not relaxing. If people want to listen to music they bring an I-pod. If they want to relax read or read a book it becomes impossible . The location is great ."

"Flight was great and the travel arrangements to and from Vegas worked out great! hotel is beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous. We stayed in their base room and it had such elegance compared to most Strip hotels and was so cheap as a package deal (2 TVs, remote blackout curtains, frige, stove, dining area and seperate sitting area while the bathroom had a stand up shower and soaker tub) . The hotel is connected to three other LARGE well known Vegas hotels. We also walked through Bellagio to Ceasars to go to a concert even though we had rented a car because it was so easy to do. Hotel service was excellent and maid service was amazing with even little extras like organizing our shoes in the entry. Super classy hotel. The show we chose for the package was Zumanity and it was both thrilling and funny. Only downside is that they have a resort fee of $20/ day that I wasn't aware of until check in and their pool is a moderate size although enough space to lie in the sun. Their fitness centre was however a perfect size and was stocked with all the latest training equipment you would need. "

"Our goal was to relax and enjoy the spa services rather than gamble, so it was great. I loved that it was a non-smoking and non-gmaing hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the Bellagio fountain. From reading online reviews, I was aware of the daily $20 resort fee and lack of coffeemaker; I brought along some instant Starbucks coffee to get by. A quick call to housekeeping and they supplied us with dishes, robes, and addtional bottled water. Getting between the hotel and the Strip can be challenging, the tram is free. Other than that, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk a lot unless you have plenty of cab fare. I would stay at this hotel again."

Bed was very comfortable and pillows were to die for. When we went to check out we wanted to have the bell hop hold our luggage until that evening - only there was a long line at desk to ask about it...lucky for us the hotel had a person in the lobby with a laptop able to help us express checkout and get us hooked up with the bell hop to store our luggage. "This hotel was amazing for Vegas! non smoking non gambling. A ways to walk to get to the real heart of the strip but not bad. Rooms are fabulous, view was amazing! Beds so great!! clean! Only complaints were they charge $5.00 for a regular cup of java - everything is over priced as in most high end hotels. For the $25 a night resort fee we didn't even get to use the hotel computer for free! Except for checking in for our flight - which they closed at 5pm and we needed to check in at 7pm! they charged for bath robes and slippers. The pool was closed for maintenace which we were not aware of until check in. They did however credit a couple nights of the resort fee because I complained. I would defiantely stay here again as our overall experience was great!"

"The Vdara is amazing Close to everything and Jordan gave us a room on the 47th floor and we had an awesome view Thank You. Only one complaint united/continental return from houston had mechanial problems and we had to go to Dulles and held on the plane for an hour then had to sit in the lounge for 2more hours before they were done checking the plane. we did gert home safelywhich is the important thing,but theycould have at least fed us or offered a bottle of water or something. We had to find another way home from the airport as did alot of the other passengers but we didn't even get a WE'RE SORRY. Way to go United Airlines , I'm glad we picked a different airlines for our next trip."

"We were so looking forward to our Vegas trip. 4 of us ladies and we booked a 'suite' at the Hotel. It's no problem if there are only 2 of you but if you plan to use the hide a bed for sleeping - forget it. It is a 3' pad of coils and springs. Totally uncomfortable. The hotel offered us their 'feather bed' which is a puffy feather topper. It helped but not near enough. The manager offered us a second topper. It was better but still not comfortable. You felt like you were sinking down into a bag of feathers and could smother . You could still feel the springs when you hit bottom. I asked to speak to the manager and she smiled coldly as she said there was nothing she could do for us. Didn't even say she was sorry or express any sympathy. Every night we had to call housekeeping to get enough wash cloths as every day they would take away the extras and leave only 2 for 4 people. No TV remote control, had to call for it and no tongs for the ice bucket, called but never got those. Ordered a pot of coffee from room service and it cost $15 with delivery fee not including the tip. I would NEVER stay there again!"

We also had a lot of issues with check-in. The door keys didn't work so we had to go back down to the lobby to get a new set of keys 2 times. Maybe it was just busy that weekend and short staffed? "The hotel was nice and the staff helpful but the hidden deposit cost (100 a night) and the resort fee was not useful. The picture of the Deluxe suite didn't match what I got and to get what I saw I had to upgrade and pay more. You had to request for utensils and plates and other kitchen items. You are given two small bottles of water daily. A restaurant would have been more helpful besides the little cafe. The smell of the hotel was soothing. Also, the only beds available are King size only no double beds. You can use the sofa bed which is uncomfortable. So going there with anyone besides a mate you will have sleep in the same bed."

"This is by far the best hotel I stayed while I was in Vegas. Very nice and clean! The fitness center was incredible the staff were friendly and always keep an eyes to everything if we needed to. Like bottle of water and very nice and clean towel (which smell really clean not like the towel at the gym I go in Chicago) always provided for customer to almost every single equipment! Customer service is very helpful and you can ask them if you need to know what are you looking for! The only concern is that the hotel is first building that built before Aria and Cosmopolitan so it is located all the way behind those building so you will need to walk through those hotel to get to Vdara it might seems a little too far for everyone but to me it's all good and perfect! Very nice atmosphere and you can't smell smoking at all. Which is perfect if you don't smoke! And they even give you free two bottles of water everyday. Thanks a lot! I'd definitely come back and stay at this hotel again next year."

"The hotel and rooms were great! Updated and very clean. The package we had included 7 breakfast/lunch buffets for seven days. You are unable to use any the first day as you don't arrive til late in the day and the hotel tells you, you can't use one on the day of departure, so you actually only get 6 instead of seven. I loved that we were back a bit of the strip (short walk through Crystals or Bellagio) away from the crowd congestion but found it hard when it came time to get something small to eat. We are early risers and the one and only cafe didn't open til later in the morning. Would be handy if they had something 24 hours or a couple of fast food places. And if really would be my only disappointment. We had a full kitchen and no coffee pot to even make a coffee while you are waiting!"

"Having been delayed 2hrs by our flight I got an uneasy feeling when the front desk was slow to check us in. But like a good stand up hotel they upgraded our hotel rooms to be able to keep our booking after having sold out the hotel prior that day. This is a nice smelling, relaxing and easy on the eyes hotel. The hotel was perfect and lacked only quick access to the strip. You either had to walk through and around the Bellagio or down the street and through the Cosmopolitan. I would stay here again if I wanted to enjoy more spa then strip. If hotel comfort is more important then access to Las Vegas boulevard this is the place to be.

"It was a wonderful retreat from the smoky casinos, but for gambling enthusiasts you are next door to two major hotel casinos complexes with many classy eatries and shopping. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with upscale decor. The mini kichenette was useful but remember to request for utensils. Having traveled worldwide, I believe Vdara is by far the best value in the five star category."

"Very, very nice. Highly recommend. If you stay, request an upper level suite (15th floor or higher). We were on the 26th floor, on the 'Bellagio side' of the building. These are the suites ending in an even number. Don't forget to ask for robes and slippers. And you have to request plates, bowls, and silverware if you need it. The only thing we wish they would provide, which they don't, is a coffee maker. You have to go to the Marketplace next to the lobby for coffee,etc. Unless you can drink instant coffee, which you would have to bring."

"We are so grateful that we chose a hotel without a casino and that was non-smoking. After walking through the hotels with casinos, the quiet and clean air was very welcome! I even purchased the scented sticks so we could have that scent once we came home. We stayed for five nights. Our room and view was beautiful, we overlooked the Bellagio water fountains. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was nice, off the Strip but easily accessible. If and when we return to Las Vegas, we will stay at the Vdara!"

"Just came back from Vegas 7/7 and this hotel was phenominal the smell of it the look of it and the service was impecable. We had the suite and was on the 43rd floor with the perfect view of the Bellagio water fountain. We definitely will be staying again next time we go to Vegas."
