"This hotel stay was lovely! I requested and paid for the strip view room and requested smoking. When I got to T.I. there weren't any available smoking rooms with the strip view. So I had a choice to get a non-smoking room with the strip view or a smoking room without the strip view. The smoking room without the strip view was located on the 36th floor (penthouse floor) in which you have to use your room key on the elevator to get to the floor. The room was a bigger and nicer room with a high ceiling, it wasn't the strip view but it was still a nice view. The room was very modern, nice size, but the entry way light was out. The buffet at Treasure Island was the greatest. I would most definitely stay here again."

"I've stayed at about 9 hotels in Vegas. I go about every 6 weeks. This was my 3rd at TI, and I have to say I'm not going back. Everything is great except check in. The check in line takes 30 minutes every single time I go, and it is extremely annoying because that isn't the case at other hotels. I do enjoy my stay here, but unfortunately the wait at check in is so annoying that I won't be going bacl."

"We stayed at Treasure Island. Treasure Island, the room was nice, clean, a little dated but right in the heart of the strip next to Fashion Mall. No coffee pot in the room. 9:00 a.m. housekeeping knocking on your door. The Buffet..not bad...the Coffee Shoppe, nice breakfast, the Seafood Shack....the poorest flavor seafood I have ever tasted...actually for scallops and shrimp..no flavour, the scallops were not cooked thru. The pool and hottub was nice. I found out I'm not a Las Vegas person, constant begging from people, harassment from people giving out pamphlets at every crosswalk, mediocre $70.00 meals. The best part of our trip was riding horses in the Red Rock mountains....awesome!!!!"

"The beds were not as comfortable as our first stay, the bathroom floor was dirty, the shower stall tiles were cracked, the bathroom dooklock was broken and there was a pastrami sandwich left in the refrigerator from the prior occupants.
The bartender on the gambling floor of the hotel was rude. The ticket printer was out of paper and I waited about 10 minutes before it was refilled."

"Treasure Island looks kind of tacky from the outside but has a lot to offer, especially if you're looking to avoid the club scene. Gilley's Bar and Grill is definitely worth checking out, but nothing you'd want to travel to the hotel for.

"Staff at my online travel agency were great! Very helpful and polite.
Staff at Treasure Island in Vegas were nice and accomodating.
Rooms at Treasure Island are nice but the housekeeping was below par. It was the day after new years eve. But, never the less rooms should be spic and span when you arrive. Dirty bathroom floors and counters. Toothpaste spit marks on the counter and mirror. Carpet coming up in front of the beds.

Seats are dirty, uncomfortable and broken.
Plane was 2.5 hours late staff was unsympathetic!
Carry on baggage is a joke! They charge for the overhead compartments above your head! $35 on line ahead of time, $50 at the ticketing counter and...GET THIS! $100 cash at the gate if you did not pre pay!!! What if you are late and running through the terminal with bags and get there to find this crap out!!!
So a $107 RT ticket from San Diego to Vegas was really $197! No drinks, No snacks No nothin! Just a big headache!!!
All I can say is BOYCOTT Spirit Air!!!
Fly SouthWest as much as possible. Believe me, its is far less agravating!!!"

"Overall TI is a great place to stay in terms of location, quality of service, quality of accommodation. There were little things that we found strange. For instance, there was no hair dryer in the room, no alarm clock, no coffee maker. Everywhere else we've been in the world these amenities were present. What's going on here?
Of course, there's the ever irritating resort fee. To be fair, TI''s resort fee is not as bad as some of the other resorts. And last, but not least, you could not access your email through the business centre without paying a whopping $25."

"There was no king size bed available the day we arrived but they upgraded us to a Strip view in a room with a queen-size bed. It was great. The rooms are spacious enough and very clean when you first arrive but maids seem to only clean your room if you leave tips. Otherwise, if you accidentally forget like we did, you'll find your room exactly as it was when you were leaving. Not even towels on the floor were replaced.
Beds and pillows are comfortable.
Buffet in the hotel is very average. It wouldn't be our first choice if they hadn't given us 2 free vouchers for one of the nights.
Kahunaville cafe is the lowest quality food we've ever seen. Stay away if you can.
Overall, the accommodations are OK, but there isn't much going on in the hotel compared to other hotels around.

"I've been to Vegas quite a few times, and stayed in various hotels on the strip, but this time, being here for a conference, I decided to stay at the conference hotel, despite having misgivings about TI. The light in my bathroom flickered and would give me a headache when I got ready- I called, but by day 4 when it still was flickering, I gave up. There were spots on the carpet, the bed spread was wrinkled, housekeeping didn't bring new towels, the remote needed batteries, so I couldn't turn the tv off or change the channel, at the pool no one ever came by to offer food or drink.. I could go on, but departure day topped it off when I called that morning to ask for a late checkout - and was hung up on. Didn't even get an apology that late check outs weren't being offered that day. I was mid sentence and then heard the click. It was 7:30am. I still had questions to ask about getting a ride to the airport. I'll never stay here again."

"Stayed at TI the hotel and casino from 8/16 - 8/20. When we first got there @ 2am, the power went out to their check in systems and we weren't able to check in for a couple of hours, so my friends and I went and gambled and drank a bit til power came back on. After the couple hours though and the power still wasn't back on, I was really tired and just wanted to check in and go to sleep. They did compensate us by giving us a free meal at the Coffee Shop in the hotel and discounted our nightly room expense. Everything about the hotel was fine; the staff, cleanliness, bars, and food were all good. Definitely recommend Kahunaville at 11:30pm for the bar show and dancers. Senor Frogs happy hour is awesome also. Also caught Mystere while i was there which was my first Cirque du Soleil show and was very entertaining."

"I stayed at the Treasure Island 7/18-7/20/2012. The buffet they advertise was very bad; the meats were all overcooked and a very low grade. The resort fee was $25 and included wireless internet which they could never get to work in my room. They continually told me, 'We're working on it' but it was never useable. The pool closed at 8 PM every night, too early for the heat which is present all day and night. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were pleasent but not helpful when I called about how bad the buffet was or about the lack of wireless in my room."

"due to our flight being delayed, we got to the hotel around 8:00 p.m. we were given what supposedly was a penthouse room. once we opened the door the room reeked of mildew, carpet dirty and smelled of musk. the second room we were given was a complete downgrade. it was a handicapped equip room, two nights of our trip was wasted cleaning a dirty bathroom, in which the shower and the toilet kept overflowing. we called maintenence twice, and hosekeeping to clean the room. the next day we were only offered our resort fees back and a mediocre 'sorry'. I have stayed here before, and the service, was always good, but never again! I took my sister to vegas, for the first time, and what an embarrasment! I have recently called family and friends, that I recommended, your hotel to this summer, and told them to look elsewhere. We will not be staying there again. thank you"

"My wife and I had never stayed at Treasure Island (TI) before although we had stayed in many hotels in Vegas. The first thing we noticed was how long the line was for registration. It took us 1 hour (at 11am) to navigate the reservation line. At least the hotel was handing out water to people in line. The room we were given overlooked the Fashion Shopping Ctr and Spring Mtn road. The view was fantastic. The room for the most part was clean. We did notice several hairs in the shower and on the floor from previous guests. The TV was kind of funky too. Stopped in mid stream as if getting a download. All in all we enjoyed our time at the hotel. Great location to other venues and we'd go back again"

"Really needed the time away and Vegas was it. Easy walking distance--even in the heat--to a number of locations and right on the RTC strip circulator bus.
The only fault I have with the hotel (and it's a pretty small one) is I wish their showers had a litle more water pressure, but the rooms, service and staff are top notch!!"

"My Husband and I decided we wanted to be right on the strip so we were excited to book at TI. TI was very clean, however the only room available was a smoking one which was very inconvienent. The buffet was a little pricey, and the free shuttle to Mirage was nice. We felt scammed when we got there and was presented with the $25 a night additional fee to use the fitness facility and pool. The pool was nice however drinks were also pricey as we were stuck paying the $9.50 for a drink. I don't believe I will stay there again.'"

"My girlfriends and I were first time Vegas goers and decided we wanted to be right on the strip so we were excited to book at TI. TI was very clean, staff was friendly, availability of restaurants was good, and the free shuttle to Mirage was nice. We felt scammed when we got there and we didn't know about the $25 a night additional fee to use the fitness facility and pool. Guess we should have read the VERY fine print. The first day we got there we went down to the pool with a few drinks in hand and the door man made us throw them away before we got to the pool, so we were stuck paying the $9.50 for a drink. If they are goign to charge the extra $25 to use the pool, shouldn't you be allowed to bring carry-ins? I think so! I wouldn't stay there again."

"We stayed from May 14-18th. Hotel Room #36073 - While I loved being on this floor (key card access only, very fun hah), the room itself could have been put together a bit better. The TV is located on the side of the wall, which doesn't make for easy viewing while laying in bed, as you both have to be kind of on an angle and on your sides. It was a very weird set-up. I noticed somebody else has mentioned the air quality - I would have to agree. I woke up very congested in the mornings. The bed was super comfy though!! I wish we could have taken it home :o) Housekeeping: I am not sure exactly what their housekeeping all entails, however - The only housekeeping we recieved was a bed making. Garbages were full and towels were left on the floor. I am not being picky, by any means - I have no problem picking up after myself lol...But there are people out there who may just want to relax and not worry about small things like this - Especially when you have paid a fairly large amount to stay in a nice place with an offered service. All of the workers were very friendly and chatty. Especially front desk - They were the most helpful and very kind. The Money Wheel is a different story - Both hosts at the wheel did not converse, or have a smile on their face. We definitely did not feel welcomed while playing and did not stay at the table very long. Restaurants: Kahunaville was a lot of fun to eat at - although very cold inside (as are all the casinos inside). The coffee is not so good, but the menu (although small) had some pretty tasty things to choose from. There is a little water show they put on every 20 minutes or so, which is very nice to watch during your meal :) The Coffee Shop - Very pricey, especially if you are just looking for a quick fix to get you going. The food was pretty tasty, until we had ended up with a small black hair in the eggs. They had no problem taking it away and reimbersing for the cost of the eggs. We only ate there that one time. The Buffet - Yes GO! Delicious, Delicious, Delicious. Lots to choose from, you will definitely never get bored (or go hungry)! Make sure to use your 2 for 1 or FREE coupon you recieve upon check-in. If I could eat there every day, I would. And the wait staff - VERY nice! The Pool: We loved hanging out by the pool. Lots of good loud music, people and plenty of chairs. It is very expensive if you want to drink however and you are not allowed to bring your own drinks down to the pool area. I think about $42 for 5 beers, just to give you an idea. Sirens: Both times we went to watch the show, it was cancelled due to wind. Disappointing, but nobody's fault. Next time we will definitely have to catch it!! ** Oh, just a little side note. We had a late flight for returning home (11:30pm, Friday night). I asked about a late check-out upon booking, but was told this had to be done directly at the hotel. Upon checking in (Monday night), I mentioned this and I was told to call front desk at 8am (the Friday Morning of check-out). I called at 8am and they said they would allow a late check-out of 12pm, however if we wanted to have the room longer, we would have to pay for another full day and resort fee. They also wanted us to go downstairs to book this after 12pm, because they would have to make sure the room was not booked again. Which we did end up doing - But I do think this could have been mentioned to us right off the bat, Monday night. There was no need for the back and forth or guessing game of 'maybe I can stay later, maybe I can't'. Overall, we really enjoyed our trip to Las Vegas and will definitely be back - But I do think we will choose a different hotel."

"Well.......this is now a very tired hotel. Seems they have lost track of their theme....check in was good and courteous, but was promised champaign to the room that never arrived. Valet promised to come to the RV lot to pick us up from droppiong off our truck and trailer, he never came back! We walked back quite a ways to the hotel with heavy luggage. Old charger for something with protruding from under the bed. Meals: Expensive second-rate buffet. Food comnpletely flavorless and expensive, I ordered from the Pasta Bar, the chef cooked so carelessly and quickly, the food had cold spots and was undercooked...I worried about food poisoning. Didn't finish my meal. Waitress was rushed, rude, and when I asked for wine, she announced LOUDLY this would be an additional $9 (for a glass of house wine!) Took 15 minutes to get the wine. I don't recommend the Buffet at all. The Casino is very tight now, machines not paying out....drinks quite skimpy. Would not stay here again. "

"The worst part of the whole experience was the line checking in, and the line checking out. Waited longer in those lines than anything else the five days we were in Vegas. We got our room, went up and found the room, and the room was only half done, missing bed skirts, comforters, and the floors had not been vacuumed. We called the front desk, and they said to come back down and they would give us another room, so we did, and had to wait another 45 minutes in line to get our new room. No comp, no apology for having to walk all the way back and wait in line again. Rooms are nice, a bit on the small side from what pictures show, clean and quiet. Treasure Island is nice...middle of the road, nothing fabulous, but not cheap either. Beds are wonderfully comfortable! Free buffets for staying three or more nights are not worth it, cannot use over the weekend, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) We checked out on Monday, but our buffet wasn't valid until 11 AM, and since we had already checked out before lunch, we couldn't use it. Sham!"

"Meh. This is a standard hotel that I would expect anywhere els, but in Vegas your expectations are raised. The check-in took FOREVER. They charged us an extra $22/night for some odd reason after we had already booked everything months in advance. The service on the casino floors and in their restaurants was lack luster. The room itself was boring. It wasn't a horrible experience but was not memorable. I'll gladly stay somewhere nicer next time I visit Las Vegas."

"This hotel is a AAA Four Diamond award winning resort offering guests fun, excitement, and splendor. "The hotel was clean, the room was clean...the bed was slightly worn in but still comfortable for the little time we were in it...the view of the mountains was much better than a wall that I usually get at other hotels...it was quiet and the room was nice and dark for sleeping in...other than the $45 resort fee for 2 people that they don't tell you about (which was a waste because we never used any of the things included with it) , I would stay there again. "Vegas overall is not 'new' anymore. Most of the hotels are all aging and lacking in upkeep. Given this Treasure Island isn't so bad. I found the bell staff and the business desk staff the most accommodating. As with all casinos, the dealers were like zombies - no hint of friendliness. So if most everything at TI was okay, say 80%, it begs the question, 'What was bad?'
The resort fee is good and bad. For my 5 night stay and $112 cumulative fee, I did not get the same value as someone with a 2 days stay since most of the value bearing items included in the package are per stay. Some will argue that the internet fee and the spa fee results in a net value, which is true, but I ask you, 'Who comes to Vegas to exercise?' With the resort fee our room cost was about $80 per night - about average for the room and amenities.
The buffet's including TI's are overpriced for the quality of the food you get. I ate at the TI buffet 3 times (1 breakfast and 2 dinner) and, although it had an excellent variety, the food was severely lacking in taste. I also at at 'Pho at The Coffee Shop' 2 times. Here the food was authentic Vietnamese fare but the pho (beef noodle soup with meatballs $12.95) and the fresh spring rolls ($9.50), as well as all the other menu items are way over-priced. If you eat this ethnic food, then you know in most cities you can feed 4 for the same price. We stopped at the Coffee Shop to eat breakfast one morning but after my wife wanted a Belgian Waffle with a $13.50 price tag (Belgian Waffle ONLY) we decided to eat breakfast at the buffet.
The rooms we stayed in were smoke-free and did not appear as if they had been used for smoking and converted (17th floor). On the other hand, the casino smelled like a chain smoker's paradise. In the morning the odor was faint, but in the evening the smell was excessive and nostril burning. They need to filter the air turnaround or pass more fresh air through to reduce the smell. Our clothes smelled faintly of smoke (neither myself or my wife are smokers) when we returned home and we spent the greater part of our time in a smoke-free environment.
Given everything above, Treasure Island was a pleasant place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone else. As with other reviewers, I would caution my recommendations with the above information."

"The housekeeping in the room was totally unacceptable. The rug and chair were completely stained. The towels were used, and the bedspread was ripped. The head of housekeeping came up, agreed with us and changed our room. The staff is ill informed. Whenever we had a question all of the employees gave us different answers. We didn't know who to believe. In spite of all of this, we still enjoyed being in Las Vegas. We possibly would return or recommend the hotel to a friend, but would tell them the above info."

"This was my first time staying at Treasure Island. I arrived at the hotel at 915am to see if I could check in early. They didn't start accepting checkin until 10am. The person and bell check was very helpful and offered to keep watch of my luggage as I searched for the nearest starbucks (which is located outside the hotel or around the corner in the hotel). I did have to wait in line about 10 minutes but once I was checked in it was smooth sailing. The hotel room I had was located on the 19th floor. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Housekeeping was very friendly. I ordered room service on my last night...though food was good WAY expensive.
Overall was completely satisfied with my stay and for the price was well worth it."

"This hotel is locfated in the center of eveything that you might have planned for your vacation or business trip to Las Vegas. You can in fact walk to most major hotels and shows that you might want to see. My only suggestion is to 'book the internet package' that is available at check in as it saves you not only on internet services but the coupons that you also receive you on food and other hotel activities. "

"Even thou I had booked my reservations thru Book It, I was charged an additional $20 for a Resort fee per day. The food was over priced and the Slot machines were tight."

"We stayed for 3 nights and four days. TI as it is referred to in Las Vegas was clean, the staff was friendly and the rooms were a decent size for the price. We had view strip room which was a wonderful little extra to splurge for. We could see the entire strip from our room. The pool is small, but what is nice is only hotel guests can use it. One of the cons though is that it is pretty much at the end of the strip and if you intend on seeing the sights it can be a long walk especially to the Mandalay Bay! Another con is a 22.00 dollar a day fee which supposedly gets you a few things such as WiFi and use of the gym. I was a little disappointed it isn't included in your original package fee. In general though TI was a great hotel, that was clean, quiet and priced right. I would stay there again."

"The hotel was a great deal and worth the money I spent there. I stayed in a smoking room and seemed to be very nice. Even thou I smoked it would have been nice for the staff to spray the room and halls for smoke."

"Everything was excellent -- got a great upgrade on the room and a friendly accommodating staff. TI is a quality place -- we were there on a rec from a friend and had high expectations. It exceeded them.
(4/5 on Efficiency because room service took forever on Saturday night of Labor Day weekend... like an hour. One-time incident but can't give a perfect score even if it WAS busy)"

"My husband and I went there for our 25th anniversay. We told the front dest that it was our 25th and they upgraded our room. We had a corner room with two views of the strip. They left us complimentay a bottle of the bubbly. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. Our room included two tickets Cirque Du Soleil. Great show! We walked or took the tram everywhere we went. No need to rent a car. Great Vacation."
