"Was a great deal , until my arrival when the front desk personnel charged an extra 48$ for 'resort' fees. When asked what that was for I was told its a mandatory charge for wifi access. Once I got to the room the carpet was absolutely disgusting!! Stains all over the entire carpeted area. None of the staff spoke English, so getting to the correct 'tower' to find your room-you have to go back to the front desk-not a short trip.
I was EXTREMELY upset. I did not need wifi access; and in fact I called the Quad prior to my departure from Seattle to make certain there would be no additional fees as I thought 20$ was a really good deal. I was told by that gentleman-there was a nominal 11$ fee for Internet use- NOT THE CASE.
Not happy at all. I was traveling on a tight budget and alone. I"

"It was horrible and I can't believe the reviews that said it was OK. Kids partying in the hall all night, took hours to finally find security and have it stopped . Extra fees for everything and it was cramped , filthy, no signs how to get around, being renovated as you stay there. No space to move through halls the list goes on. Very bad!"

"This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Imperial Palace (now Quad). The location on the strip is fabulous and they are clearly trying to make improvements. We knew booking it that it was not an expensive place, but really you only sleep in the room.
Unfortunately, this trip was really pretty bad. Our room was ok, the bed was comfortable, but nothing to speak about. The hallway was gross- someone had room service and the dishes sat outside the door for over 48 hours.
I went to the service desk to ask a question (it took an hour to check in) and then 25 min. at the service desk. No one seemed to mind this was happen, even with a security guard walking around. This was completely inappropriate.
Also, i had charges placed on my card that I had to call about- they were taken off, but shouldnt have been there in the first place. I think our next trip we will spend a little more for a little extra service."

"Buyer beware! Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. This is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed. Motel beats Quad hands down.
I don't mind construction going on, its the sign of the times, BUT the carpet is so dingy, I had to force myself not to look down. I travel with flip flops, you'll need one or your socks. The walls are horrible, the floor is warped, it looks like a place that should be torn down and start all over again (I know that won't happen) the floor configuration is insane, if you go, ask for something close to the elevator so you don't get lost. The check in line was soooo long.. don't expect an apology when you finally reach the desk. I booked a king, was stuffed into a double at the end of a maze, not kidding!, with a door to the stairwell that was ajar all the time, talk about creepy. The sheets in my room was clean but the pillow had some strange thing poking out of it. They casino area, closer to the strip is slightly better, so you can say their priority is in the casino.

"The truth is, this hotel just needs to be cleaner. Everything was great, except for the fact that there was hair on our bed and in our tub. The tub had not been cleaned (I could see the dirt) and room wasn't vaccumed the next morning. I work at a hotel, and I understand that it's hard to maintain carpets because of messy guests, but something as simple as not leaving hair places, should be addressed with housekeeping. Other than that, I would gladly return. The location was perfect, and price was decent."

"This hotel is under some major renovations and even so it was functional. For the price of the room I knew I would get a room that has not been renovated and I did. Even though the carpets were long overdue for replacement the room was clean and maid service was on time every time. I was in tower 4 and that is a long way off the beaten path. If you are not up on your cardio, I suggest you ask for something closer to the main casino area. Over all it was sufficient for my needs."

"The first room I was put in was soiled and smelled and the door didn't even lock right. The second room they gave they stated was an up grade and wasn't that much better and I was charged an extra $20.00 a day. For the three days I was charged $95.20 extra for a room that was noisy with construction work both day and night. The upkeep on these rooms was not very good. Valet parking for guest was nonexitant unless you had some special pull with somebody. My experience here was horrible to say the least. I would not recommend this place at all, especially for all the money they charge you to stay there. My stay there was 2-1-13 and checked out on 2-4-13."

"Hmmm... we knew that it changed from the Imperial Palace to the Quad when we booked, and figured it was under construction, etc. We were quite surprised when they did not have our $20.00 credit and 2 free breakfast buffets on record, but let it go. They upgraded our room for only $15.00 more a night but we were told there was a sofa with a pull out bed. Once we arrived in the room, we realized that the sofa did not exist and the tub they spoke so highly of was right in the middle of the room... cheesy 70's style. The door to the hallway had such a large gap on the bottom that we had to cover it with multiple towels to block the light!! Looking out our balcony, there was trash everywhere below. The front entrance smelled either of some sort of acetone or sewer. The only saving grace to this entire stay here was that the bed was made every morning by staff. Hoping we started with clean sheets... We will never stay here again."

Checking in was crazy.. rooms not so clean an my balcony door was wide open when I got in my room kinda scary not knowing if someone was out there or even hiding in the room. so the price of 20.00 you should have paid me 100.00 for the trouble of finding the damn parking garage.. so no thanks no returning here."

"We knew that our hotel was under construction, so our anticipation wasn't high. We got there at 10 am and were happy to see that we could check in early for a small fee. The lady at the counter said there was nothing available for us to check in early but we could upgrade to a room that has a king size bed ( our original room would have had 2 doubles ) but it was a smoking room. No prob, $11 a day, sure!
Our 'upgrade' was horrible! The room smelled so bad, not like smoke though, just stinky! So I had to spray my expensive perfume to try to get rid of it. Then the room was just filthy! We wore our shoes or socks at all times, we needed to wipe cigarette ashes off of the 'clean' table before we could use it. It just needed a good cleaning.
With our package we received 2 ' free' breakfast buffets. The staff was pleasant but the food seemed old, not fresh. Upon checkout I saw a charge for $11 for our buffet. We went downstairs to check out and questioned this. The lady behind the desk got it taken care of but she said, ' with the increase of price the computer just hasn't generated the price correctly.' I'm sorry but that buffet shouldn't cost any more that $15 per person and I think my ticket said the total was $45 for the two of us.
I will continue to use bookit.com for my travels. We go to Las Vegas every year, but I will never stay or suggest to anyone to stay at The Quad."

"Yes it's underconstruction and very difficult to find the parking. The signs are small and black very hard to see. So finding our way in was the first thing. second we booked a pet room. Our hotel was pre paid, but we were not told until check in of the extra per hold fee put on the credit card. Good thing I always take my own food & water dish(even tho in the discription it says they give you one) and the dog treat didn't happen. The pet relief area is around in the back alley which is a piece of indoor out door carpet (fake looking green grass) my dog wanted nothing to do with it. even tho they did hose it off each day, there was broken pieces of glass on it. My dog choose to potty in the rocks which again there was broken glass in. Upon walking into the room, the fool lamp was proped aginst the wall, we called the front desk after over 20 min on hold they transfered me to housekeeping which rang for another 5 min. Finally a lady answeredand sent up maint. which tightened it, but still leand over, the drawers in the dresser were broken and when you pulled them out would fall. The carpet was filthy, The ads that this is a resourt are a JOKE!"

"After driving in traffic around to the back of the hotel to find the entrance since the front one is closed for construction, waiting in a line of cars to even enter the parking structure, it took us 20 minutes to even find a place to park. You have to take several elevators down and back up to even get to the casino and check in. When we got to the front desk we waited in line that snaked through the casino for over 45 minutes. The staff at the front desk were friendly enough and once I got to the desk it was a really quick process. The room was clean and comfortable. I would just suggest that you wait until all of the construction is over."

"The hotel that we booked was one of the worse ones that I have EVER stayed at. We booked the Imperial Palace (the Quad) on the strip in Vegas. I have been to Vegas at least 10 times but have never had an experience like this. The hotel was under complete construction, which meant no pool area, the restaurants were all closed. The rooms were dirty and actually had bugs in it and the noise from the construction woke us up every morning. By far, the worse hotel that I have ever stayed at anywhere, let alone Vegas. And, they did NOT allow us to use our $20 hotel voucher that we received."

"The Imperial Palace now know as The Quad! Construction was going on so the place was a mess. Parking was hard to get to and very confusing. However, once you master it you can park almost right next to the door. The room was not so nice and had the scariest balcony I have ever seen. But the bed was comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were adequate. The carpet needed cleaning. The place does need a makeover! However for the price it was fine! No resort fees and we got a free buffet and 20.00 creidt at their other restaurants. The casino is small but fun! Free entertainment from the impersanators and the 'celebrity' dealers were fun. Despite the bad I'd go back! This place was low class fun! Haha! Hash House is on this property and was a great place to eat!"

"This Hotel was disgusting, dirty and horrible! I have stayed at other hotels in Last Vegas and this was, by far, the worst I have ever stayed in in my entire life. Our room was not cleaned before we arrived -- there was hair in the bathtub (GROSS) and the room had not been vaccumed (there was a gum wrapper behind one of the chairs that stayed there the whole time we were there). The maid service was horrendous -- they only made the bed, gave new towels and changed the garbage -- DID NOT CLEAN ANYTHING -- and the last three days we were there -- THE MAID DID NOT CLEAN OUR ROOM AT ALL!!! The staff was rude, inconsiderate and extremely unhelpful! I would not recommend this Hotel to my worst enemy!!!"

"I was sorely disappointed with this hotel. I knew it was under construction and an older hotel....which was fine. However, when I got there ....there was incense sticking out of the framework in my room, hair all over the bathroom floor, brown crusty stuff on my blanket, paper and pennies on the floor in the main room( had not been vacuumed), and my glass for drinking had cigarette ash rings around it! IT WAS GROSS!!!! The baggage staff was super nice, as was the desk clerks, but the line was long and the wait ridiculous. I was sad to have to go down 14 flights, down the hall and around the corner for my morning coffee. There was no place to find coffee earlier than 6 am unless you went to a busy bar. I thought that was unacceptable. Though I said nothing to anyone ( except showing the cleaning staff the cup) I was NOT happy with my stay, all things considered."

Also the water smell awful!! I could not brush my teeth or drink water, instead, I had to use bottles of spring water to wash up and brush my teeth!
The room carpet is dirty and smell as well!
This hotel is ONLY the cleanliness on the outside (lobbies, food courts, etc)

"The first room we got smelled like sour milk. The carpet was sopping wet and when I called down to the front desk and asked to be moved we were told that their transfers took place between 11am-1pm the next day and that if the carpet was wet they could guarantee me that the carpet had been shampooed that morning. I told him that they must have shampooed it with dirty water because the room itself smelled really bad like sour mop water or milk. They would not move us until the next day even though we had to be at a Convention at 12:00pm to sign in we had to wait until after 1:00pm for them to move us and it took several phone calls to get it done. The room they moved us to was better but what a hassle. And the Monorail DOES NOT run door to door; that is a false statement. You have to walk a half mile to catch it!!"

"when you first walk in the first thing you notice is it's kinda dinge & smokeyVERY SMOKEY!. I chose this hotel because we weren't going to be in the room much so it was fine for that. And I wish I knew about the construction being done, I would've chose another casino. Compaired to the other casinos it's serious'ly lacking. Next time i'll pay a little more for a better room. But having said all that, the staff was great, from the people at the checkin counter, the players club and the baggage handler everyone was great. if the hotel was as nice as the staff it would be a great casino."

"We put our parents up here for their first trip to Las Vegas (yep, they're in their late sixties and this was their first time!). We had previously stayed here and found it to be okay for the price considering it's location and the fun we had at the poker tables. This trip left so much to be desired! First of all the hotel was undergoing massive renovation and we were not made aware of this when booking. While we knew there would be a lot of walking to do on the strip, the renovation made it more difficult for our parents to maneuver around just to get out of the front door to the main strip. The room was an eyesore. There wasn't anything (artwork, etc.) on the walls. The blankets were extremely thin-my mother in law had to turn off the A/C and steal a blanket from the other bed just to be comfortable. Even worse, they found an old belt and shirt that had been left behind by a previous occupant. This led us to wonder if the room was even very sanitary. The whole hotel and room was just ugly and appeared dirty. My parents are too embarrassed to tell people where they stayed in Vegas...and these are actually not very picky people! They are usually kind of 'cheapskates' but even this was bad for them which is saying a lot. I have previously had good experiences at this hotel but I hate to say I don't think I'll be staying there ever again."

"Our stay at the Imperial Palace was awesome.I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many beautiful hotels, but honestly in Vegas what we were looking for was a hotell close to everything, good price, clean and comfortable beds and room. We found all of this at the Imperial Palace, it is not fancy but the staff were very friendly, the hotel is not fancy but we toured all the other hotels and visited their fancy lobby's for free! We heard from so many people that were staying in the fancy hotels that the lobby was beautiful, but there room was average."

"This place is old. But it does the job if u wanna party in Vegas and spend most of your time out on the strip . It's pretty run down and the escalators and elevators don't work. Also there's a lot of construction remodeling going on. It's good for cheap budgets."

I felt that the average person would be welcomed and not feel uncomfortable, I feel like they do need alot of upgrading and updating needs to be done. I would hope if I go to Vegas in the future that wouldn't disappoint me. I feel like the ventalation system could be better."

"Elevator was hot and not clean. Lobby elevator was extremely slow. Air conditioner was a little noisy. The view from my room was bad. Because my room was extremely clean daily for the 4 days I was there, bathroom included, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the king bed was very comfortable I gave it an overall 4. I normally dont spend much time in the rooms when I go to Vegas. Went there for a convention. The price was good and no deposit or resort fee. For those reasons I would stay again for future business trips."

"This hotel is in a transition state. Some areas and rooms have been upgraded, where as things such as the elevators do need a face lift. I enjoyed all of the staff.
The check in was a little slow but they are having a new check in center built and it should be open in a month or so. The front desk staff, the bell staff, and security were all very kind and helpful.
I visited several of the restaurants there, some where more impressive than others. But I would recommend 'Embers' any time....Excellent food, service, and atmosphere.
The tub in my room was dirty when I checked in, but when I called downstairs, someone was sent within 10 minutes to clean it.....The lady was very apologetic and asked if I needed any thing else....I think she was the lead housekeeper, she wrote something down on a clipboard before she left and checked in with me several times during my stay.
The construction makes it a little difficult to get around, but I can understand them wanting to stay open while remodeling
I has a great time and felt comfortable and welcomed....some places I have been to on the strip before, acted like I wasn't good enough to stay in their hotel....but not here,,,,,Thank You for making my vacation great"

"This Hotel may have been the place to stay in it's day but certainly not now. Upon entering my room I noticed a small pile of white crumbs or toe nails, couldn't quiet tell what it was but anyway it was never vaccuumed the whole time I was there, so each time the maid cleaned my room the whole room of carpet was never vaccuumed completely!! The bathroom floor was full of who ever stayed there before me with their hair yuck!! I went out onto the balcony and there was 2 pairs of socks from God knows when along with cig butts (it was a none smoking room). Every time I left my room my key wouldn't work and when security finally came to let me in he treated me like I was some sort of idiot but he couldn't make the key work either he thought he was going to show me how to do it but guess what, he couldn't get it to work either!! When I went to the front desk to get new keys, I had to wait in line forever to get help, the front desk people would look at you but never call you over to see what you needed as a matter of fact their counter for information, keys, etc, there was never anyone there you had to be waited on by someone who was doing check ins. The whole place was DIRTY, hall carpets had the ripple effect and taped together with duct tape, carpet in my room was full of former cig burns and stains, someone pucked in elevator #33 and when it was supposedly cleaned up you could see where they wiped it up but left the splatter!!! (Disgusting). You could walk down the halls and see room service trays outsides peoples doors that would sit there for 24 hrs REALLY!!!! I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone or ever stay there again. I figured for the price (because how much time do you actually stay in your room) and location (beings I had no car) and would walk the strip it would be worth the low cost, not expecting it to be like the Wynn would be OK, I can handle that but not the filth and lack of service!! The best service in the whole place were the Bell Desk men, they smiled and were so polite, and fast at what they did and even though the housekeeping staff couldn't clean worth a darn, they were friendly and would alway say hi and ask how you were doing when they saw you in the halls."

"My experience at your hotel was completely unsatisfactory and incredibly disappointing. We came to our room with the door open and found the maid using the bathroom with the bathroom door open which was quite uncomfortable.
Then we discovered that the patio door was stuck, so we called to have it fixed. When it was fixed so that the door would slide, we discovered it would not close all the way to lock.
As a woman, I felt uncomfortable being in a room where the sliding door would NOT LOCK. Seeing as many other people were parting next to us. I was afraid they would try to sneak in.
We also had complete strangers walk in to our room because the front door had to be slammed shut because it would not close easily.
The beds were also incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. We were told there were no comforters/covers on the beds. Only sheets. When we were brought blankets we needed several to cover ourselves because they were so small. At this point I was surprised there was even a shower curtain in the bathroom.
The hallways were also filthy and needed the carpets to be shampooed and cleaned.
When we called for more blankets and a mini-fridge to store water, there was never anyone room service to help us. When we had our room cleaned, the maid didn't fill us up on toilet paper and we had no soap to wash our hands.
I paid a lot of money to stay at your hotel and I will never stay there again. I wish I would have stayed at another hotel that was $300 more, even if I had to open-up a credit card account. That's how bad our stay was.

"We usually stay at the Imperial Palace whenever visiting Vegas because of the great location. For recent travelers, be aware that there is huge construction going on direcctly in front and its loud but you can't beat the central location for the price. The rooms are decent and kept clean, so no complaints there. If you are on a budget and want a great location, I recommend Imperial Palace."

"hopefully not again, we didn't get to try the pool but during my stay as I heard it was nice but I felt as if we were in the middle of the hotel on the 8th fl and the room was quite far from the elevators. On our last day the elevators weren't working properly either. We had a view of buildings only which made me feel like i wasn't on a vacation. With the constructrion going on getting to the parking structure was so complicated and the drop off area too. They need to fix whatever they are fixing soon!"

"It is 'very' confusing trying to find your way back to the room, or which tower to go to, and where to find things. We talked to several people that were having the exact same frustration trying to find their rooms, etc. There was lots of noise coming from the construction site; thankfully that ended at 5PM. The A/C units are too noisy. The very large tub does not have water jets, DUH. Actully the tub is too large for two people. The carpets in many places were very dirty and need replacing. Our room was clean. May 12-15th, 2012."

"Stayed here in 2011 beautiful room and they even gave us a strip view at no extra charge. We were fine with noise from the Carnival. This year stayed again because we loved the location and the room was nasty. we switched on the 2nd day across the hall to a balcony room but it was still sub par. The first clerk on check in was rude and she was for seven star members per her tag!!!! The second day when we switched room she told us that we booked a bad room and to not use a 3rd party site next time for a better room AND cheap prices. Will consider that next year. Also had a package delivered there it arrived at 1030am they could not actually 'find' it until 6pm that night."

"First, we were dropped off by the shuttle service in the back alley way of the hotel because of construction. We then had to lug all of our things to the very front of the hotel/casino to check in. Then back thru the casino to the elevator to get to our room. We did have a smoking room which we requested so smell from smoke is to be expected, however, the room reeked of smoke after a day since the window was secured shut because of access from another room's balcony. I understand the security issue, but think that if there is no way to air out the room than maybe it should be a non-smoking room. Although it is an older hotel, our room was ok and it was clean, but that was about it. We took this trip with friends and their room had trash in it and the toilet would leak every time you flushed it so they had towels on the floor. I understand the hotel is old and it was cheap to stay there, as well as a great location, but I would not recommend it to anyone. I would rather pay a few extra dollars to stay somewhere else."

"The Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas is not a palace and neither imperial. The room was not cleaned once during our stay. We asked for a quiet room - and were pleasured to listen to concrete mixture machinery every morining (the view on the machines was also provided with it). The hotel casino personal was absolutely inable to let us have fun. A dealer at a roulette table completely empty did not allow my boyfriend to have a seat while I was playing. Another did not accept my European passport (I am 26 years old). On the positive side I can say that the location of the hotel is central."

Since I'm talking bathroom I should mention what appeared to be stains on the wall and hair in the tub. When we called to the front desk they offered to send someone to do a deep cleaning, but it never change. "staff tried to make us stay in smoking, and when pressured, found two non smoking, miracuously; no mention of ammenities available; not told that the pool and hot was not available; the view from my room when i could get the worn out door to the belcony open, was a pool / hot tub construction zone; no cooler in the room, nor microwave or coffee, but empty space where they used to be; the sink in bathroom was actually painted at one time, and was all pealing off; under the sink counter was not cleaned in months; the carpets were filthy, but vacuumed; the TV was about a 13';elevators were unbelievely slow; we were totaly ignored for 5 minutes at the consierge desk until the man finally looked up, and did not say a word but nodded his head to us, as what do you want! ; not enough staff for the people checking in / out. "I will never stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The room was dirty and the staff was rude!! We had mold in our bathroom. There was no lid on the toilet seat. Looked like the blow dryer was on fire at one point. Every outlet was loose, so it was hard to plug things into to charge (phones, ipods) and where the lamp plugged in it was really loose, we had to shake the table to get the lamp to come on. There is no safe, or coffee maker there :( When we got there to check in the line was long, and there was a 2nd line for problems (keys, rooms, etc.) and they were taking the other line first even if they were in line after us, their response was --they are guests here. HELLO---our package was paid for a month in advanced-all we needed was a key---I would consider myself a guest too!! POOR, POOR service!!! Like I said --never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Got to Vegas late in the afternoon. After waiting @hour for a shuttle to take us, we finally got to the hotel. We arrived in the back of the hotel and had to walk forever to get to the front desk. No one is there to direct you and the signs showing the way are not very apparent. When we finally got to the desk I had to ask why we were dropped off the back of the hotel in an alley and they didn't respond. After checking in we had to goto the elevators...wow...I know it was Saturday night but add another 20 minutes to the wait to go upstairs. Get to the room and very generic and old, but didn't really expect a lot at this point. But I did not expect to have to wait on the maintence crew to come fix the toliet just so I could use the bathroom before I could start the night. All in all its old and you get what you pay for, location. Its near the end but in a good location to go to all the other hotels. We had two first time vegas guest that were amazed at the other hotels and the way they looked comparied to the ghetto we stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel."

"i was not very pleased with the imperial palace rooms the deluxe luv tub room did not smell good the tub was stanied paint was chipping in the tub carpet smelled like it hadnt been cleaned properly kind of a urine smell. that was the first room when i got that first impression my fiance and i walked to the front desk to be moved to another room, this room was a little bit better just because of the way it was postioned, but the tub was still a major issue the carpet still had a smell but at this time im tired im ready to get my vaction started so i just made the best of it. I was unable to take advantage of the luv tub because it didnt look clean the paint was chip as well i actually tried to clean it myself, i even called room service to bring me some cleaner to clean it but it was expalined that policy states that can not be allowed since its a chemical and i understood that but i felt is was no need for someone to come and and clean it because apparently room service is not cleaning it properly in the first palce since this was the second room i was in with the same exact issues. I didnt feel comfortable with sitting my body in that tub, the hallways are creepy and long a women would not feel safe walking down to the casino in that hotel are walking down to the shopping area to shop. Overall i was not pleased with the room. i had a great time in Las Vegas, but as far as the hotel itself i give it two thumbs down. i wish i had the energy to debate on getting some of my money back as far as the room goes because i paid additional for the Deluxe Luv Tub room. Please be advised readers im not a very picky person but this was not good for the money i spent. "

"My stay at the Imperial Plaice.
My only concerns with staying at the Imperial Palace were.
Taking an elevator first thing in the morning was next to imposable (jammed packed every morning) with having cloister phobia I finally took the stairs from the 13th floor every morning but had no problem when I arrived back at 3am. The other problem was my bathtub would not drain properly and would backup a black grimy mess.
I don't recommend leaving your sliding door open if you don't want an uninvited guest. I did and awoke to a pigeon looking for a free handout. But all said and done, my room was clean and very quiet, but I just wonder if that was anything to do with being on the 13th floor? 13113 was my room and no bad luck follows me.
I wouldn't recommend stay at the Imperial Palace for only one reason I don't like to hearing anyone complain. LOL

"Imperial Palace:
Good service
Good Food
Could save laundry expenses if they did not do sheets everyday. I personally placed a do not disturb sign on my room so they would not change sheets everyday. This did cause some concern with the maid staff since there was a message on my phone about it and I called and explained my reasons.
Truly no point in doing them until checkout or upon request.
They do have a save energy and water request for towels but don't explain what they want you to do."

"I honestly can't believe this hotel is still standing.
Toilet overflowed, room had moldy smell,
Carpets were dingy.
The elevators were slow and had piles of dust in the corners.
The lines to check in and out were long and very few staff working.
13' tube TV in the room with bad TV reception.
For a few bucks more a night we could have stayed at one of the newer hotels, we so wish we would have."

"The hotel was difficukt to get around in, from your room to the casino, or to the restaurants in the hotel.
No in room coffee pot, no in room kleenex box.
room had a smell, like a sewer back-up smell
no view of the Las Vegas Strip
Disappointed, will not stay again"

"I have been to Vegas twenty plus times, BUT I must say this is one of the most fun times I had. I stayed at the Imperial Palace with a friend and we had a great time checkng out the sights. I don't know if this is a fair review cause I always love my stays in vegas. I called for an extra blanket and it was there in less than 10 minutes. I wish they had coffee, but overall the experience was really nice. The balcony was the real sell for me.
Thanks again.

"What a great time! We enjoyed this 50th birthday celebration without breaking the bank. We are sad to see it had to end. Thanks for excelent service. We had no problems. They gave an outdated coupon book however it was accepted when used. The rooms were non smoking as well as a non smoking floor."

"The Imperial Palace was at one time one of the fancy hotels on the strip. The value for the money was o.k. The staff was very friendly courtious and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the hub of the strip. The hotel itself is very dated and needs some serious TLC. The carpets throughout the whole hotel were not in any good condition. They are very old and in need of replacing. I was actually upset at the conditions of the carpets. The rooms and linens were clean. Over-all it was o.k. but did not get a wow feeling at all. Compared to what is on the strip, the Imperial Palace is in serious need of upgrading. Would we return, maybe not, would we recommend it, for the value yes, but with comments about the fact that it is very dated. When looking at all the other hotels, we would say that the Imperial Palace is at the bottom of the wow scale."

"DO NOT stay at the Imperial Palace! This is how my trip went: FIRST - I got the check in line at 8 pm and stood in line for 20 minutes, then I walked up to my room and there were two people in it watching TV (very embarrassing). I went back down to the check in counter and got another room went up to it and it was dirty! Now Im angry and waiting in line at the check in counter AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME! It took me over two hours of hauling luggage around a hotel and casino before I was able to settle in! After the hotel wasted my time they wouldn't even comp me wi fi so I could get online (I didn't think that was asking to much and they wanted $5 an hour for wi fi service). I had to use another hotels wi fi for the work I had to do while there on business. All this happened on the first night. THEN - the next day I called housekeeping and asked to clean the room while I was out. When I got back to the room later the beds were made and there were clean towels but all the dirty sheets and towels were left in the floor!! The bathroom stunk like hell the hole time and the water in the shower wouldn't drain! I spent my entire stay angry! Don't stay at the Imperial Palace unless you plan on having a miserable time during your vacation! I will stay at a Motel 6 rather than ever go back there."

"Everything was good. I just wished they had coffee pots in the room. But the room was nice & clean. The bed was very comfortable and both my husband and I slept really well! Check in was really quick, maybe 2 minutes at the most. The staff was friendly.
Yes, there was areas where you could see wear in the casino and hotel. However, when we went into other casino's, guess what....they showed wear as well.
This is a great place to stay and with the casino being in the middle of everything for the great price, you can't beat it! The Buffet was great...we ate there twice and Betty's Diner was great also! We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed there 10 years ago and it was great. they do not treat you right because you book on book it instead of through them. dont stay here."

"Our room was stinky. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the mildew odor was very bad, permeated the bedroom. Dust, dirt, rust, yuk, even in the lobby. Will never stay there again. We also had to stand in line for over an hour just to check in. Not worth the time. The pool was not open, there was something wrong with the hot tub because workers were cleaning it daily with respirator masks on. We did enjoy the car collection and the small lounge upstairs."

"First of all, I want to say our trip started out terribly. When we went to the airport for our boarding passes, we found that we had that we did not have the stops that we had on our itenirary given by bookit. We had an extra connection which meant extra time on travel. Our seats were on the last row of the plane next to the restroom. After finally getting to the hotel, we found our bags in total dissaray. We have made many flights and never had our bags with my c-pap equipment broken because of mishandling by US Airways. We then had to spend half a day trying to replace the equipment due to the seriousness of my health. The stewardesses on almost all planes were rude and useless as well as the booking agent at Las Vegas. I will never use US Airways again. The hotel was adequate. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. The room was fairly clean and the staff was average on service. Three stars is a very generous rating."

"If you're simply looking to save money then maybe you might try this place but, then again, if you're hard up on saving cash, you shouldn't be vacationing in Las Vegas. Although, my room was indeed clean, it was depressing that the gloomy obstructed view from the one window in the room had lots of filthy pigeons roosting sitting in their manure just outside of the window. The ambiance of the hotel was drab and outdated. The carpeting in the halls was worn, tatered and seedy looking. The elevators were horribly slow and overcrowded. Most times it was quicker to use the stairway. If there's a worse hotel in Vegas to stay at, In can't imagine it. Spend a few more dollars, stay someplace else, why ruin your vacation? Even the Casino Royale is a nicer place, just up the street."

"1 thing I don't like about this hotel is every time i want to go back or go out from my room, I need to walk through the casino with smoke. And the room is far. You'll get lost if you dun pay attention to remember the route. The good thing is they have dealers impersonating celebrities and they will go up to a small stage to perform. the performances are very good. They are very talented. Their concierge offer great help. I might stay in this hotel again if I'm going to visit Las Vegas in the future. 1 more thing, I get a voucher booklet when checked in, which is great. I used the 2 for 1 Jubilee! ticket voucher. And that is the main reason I chose this hotel."

"I found the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino very accommodating and suited me for my last 3 nights in Vegas. The location is excellent and right in centre of the 'Strip' . Perfect location to see all the other Hotel night 'Light' shows.
If you only want a clean room, bed and shower then this is the hotel for the best price in town. It is a little on the 'Tired' side now, but has everything you could want. Staff were very friendly and helpful also. This hotel does NOT charge a resort fee either which is great, (saving between $15-$20 P/N) so you only pay for what you use, i.e Internet and phone calls no other hidden charges which is fantastic."

"A nice hotel in the middle of the strip. Check in is way too slow and had to wait about an hour.
Hot water was not working. Was fixed very promptly within 1 hour.
Would suit younger crowd as casino tables were always busy compared to the other hotels.
Try the $44.95 all you can eat buffet for 24hrs. Well worth it.
See the Nathan Burton Show next door at the Flamingo. Upgrade to floor seat for $10. Nice 1.5 hr show and very funny. You get 2 other cheap tix to other shows including meals for $25 each show. Well worth it.
Go to Half tix to get your theater shows at a cheap price. Get there early for the best seats.
Will stay there again if I am in Vegas

"Paid $180.00 total for 4 nights at Imperial. Had a Deluxe room which was way nicer than the older Classic room. Great location in the center of the strip. Outdated hotel compared to others on strip but for the price paid it was still worth it. Room was clean and surprisingly it was pretty quiet. We faced the pool, saw a bit of the strip and mountains on the 18th floor and even had a balcony. Only have 2 bad things to comment on. NO JOKE!!!!! Took over 1 hour to check in standing in a huge huge line. Front desk is waaaay understaffed. Throughtout the 4 days there were always huge lines to check in unless you were a preferred guest so be prepared to wait. The other thing is because the hotel is older the ceilings are low and it's pretty smokey in there. If you are a smoker it shouldn't bother you. Other than that I still think it was a great price for the location probably the best location on the strip right across from Caesars."

"My stay at the Imperial Palace was good. I have stayed there before that is why I chose to stay there again. It is centrally located and the entertainment there is wonderful. The rooms are adequate, however, on this visit the room that I had did not have a view at all. My view was a wall and a roof top. The staff were somewhat helpful but did not know a lot about the hotel, i.e., where the ice machines were located. I would definitely stay there again but hopefully in a room with a better view."

"We enjoyed three nights at the Imperial Palace recently. We chose this casino/hotel because of it's location and value. It is obvious that this property is older and could use a facelift, but it was adequate, clean and comfortable, not to mention very quiet. We really were able to relax and sleep well undisturbed by outside noise. We did not try the buffet there but we did eat at The Hash House. I was so pleasantly surprised that the atmosphere there was unique, all the staff was helpful and eager and that had to be the BEST breakfast I have eaten in a long time time. I don't remember the name of the plate but it came with eggs, fried potatoes, and french toast with pecans and a sauce on top. Yuuummmmmm, so good, it will make you want to slap your mama."

"This was my 2nd visit to vegas and this time i decided to stay at imperial palace b/c of the good reviews i was seeing. From my experiece its a good location on the strip and not too expensive as others. Therefore if you're going to enjoy vegas and not your room like i did then i would recommend this hotel."

"There is no problem with the Housekeeping - the staffs are very efficient and they clean the room very well and change and fix the bed linen very well. Towels and bed sheets are clean, the bathroom is clean although you can say that the hotel is outdated.
Regarding the check in - the hotel is understaff to the point that it took as almost 30 minutes to check in because there are a lot of guest with very few staff to assist the check in.
No bell boy in the hotel. You need to be strong to carry your own luggage as nobody will assist.
Regarding room service - well our experience is very funny, On our first night we ordered coffee and they brought us sugar and hot water with no coffee...when we called to ask they brought us the coffee but the taste sucks....If you are a coffee drinker like us, beware, there is no coffee shop in the hotel but there's Starbucks next to the hotel.....
The following day, we requested for hair conditioner then after few minutes air conditioner service man appeared..Isn't that funny? Don't forget to bring hair conditioner and tooth paste - this are not provided by the hotel.

"Comfortable, Great AC Unit, Clean, Courteous Staff, No long waits, No hidden fees!!!
On the other side, you can clearly see that the Imperial Palace is at the bottom of the food chain. The restaurants are shabby and the buffet is mediocre to say the least.
If your looking for POSH this isn't it. But if you are looking for an affordable place to lay your head with Prime location, this is it!

"I made the mistake of not booking my last night in Vegas (there for another convention) until the prices of everything went up. I paid $144 to stay at the Imperial Palace (it was the night before the MGM Grand Merriweather fight). Everything was old and dirty in the hotel itself. The room was fair. The bed was clean (thank goodness).
Bookit said I wouildn't pay for internet or fitness, but I was told when I got there that I would pay separately for those. I couldn't print out the information right there and then, because I didn't have internet service and couldn't get it unless I paid. What a nightmare.
The line was VERY long to check-in. Lots of very young people going to this hotel. I guess it's very cheap if you book way in advance. Anyway, it stunk, but it was my own fault for not getting the last night squared away earlier.
I did have fun at their craps tables though. Manny was very nice and even though Ron was stiff and oh so professional as one of the pit bosses, we finally got him to laugh and smile. That was the best part."
