A good alternative to the Strip hotels. Freemont Street has plenty of life and entertainment. The bedroom was a good size and clean, we did have a bit of trouble with the hot water. The casino was lively in the evenings with dancing croupiers. The bar tenders at the Long Bar put on a good show with the cocktail shakers etc.

Great location. Espacially for the fremont experience. Staff were friendly. Beware. No fridge. Late nights (music) apart from that it was clean and comfy, housekeeping is a little ambitous in the mornings though. Quite noisy

We have stayed here pretty much once a year since it opened and sometimes twice. This time we rented a double queen room after always staying in a king room. I personally think that the double queen was much nicer in the bathroom. Perhaps the king rooms I have stayed in just haven't been upgraded, but this time in the double Queen our bathroom had a large square sink and a large walk in shower. No tub. LOVED IT!!!! The rainfall shower head worried me at first because I am not a fan of them ... Read more

They charge a daily "resort fee" which I dont think was worth it. No room service! Pool was small only 5ft! Jacuzzi was foaming dirty gray/black foam No microwave anywhere! Slow Elevators. Guest parking starts in 7th floor of garage! I as well as other guests Had issues exiting parking garage with room key...I could hear neighbors talking...Poor customer service. Rooms are just OK. McDonalds inside was a plus... Good Downtown Vegas location If you just need a room to keep your stuff and perha... Read more

I have been staying here for years since the turnover from the former Fitzgerald's and have experienced ups and downs in service, but still keep coming back. I have stayed in the standard rooms, the deluxe rooms, and this trip was upgraded by my travelling companion's boss at the last minute to the "D Suite" from our double Queen room. My companion was a platonic friend so the surprise upgrade caught us off guard and we didn't really realize until bedtime that we had to sleep together. The next ... Read more

Had a week long stay planned, but had to change to a two night stay. When speaking to the agent on the phone, no problem. Upgraded to the D suite. When trying to check in early, was told the room was not ready. No problem. When i tried to check in at the normal check-in time, room still wan't ready. Was told someone would call when the room was ready. Went to dinner, milled around Fremont for a bit. No phone call. (Keep in mind, it was 100+ out there) At 5:30, checked to see if room wa... Didn't know what to expect after staying at Encore & Venetian, well it was different but lots of fun. The hotel is right on Freemont st which is an experience that has to be seen to be believed, lots of live stage bands with local characters and freak shows as free entertainment. The Freemont street experience with the neon light shows, zip lining, bands & bars offer a really fun night out. The room had a king bed, updated bathroom and was really good for $40 a night plus tax plus plus resort f... Read more

One hundred of 2 nights sounds very nice to live in a premium hotel. The room was very big and clean. But so cold in the room, just like they don't wanna people to sleep who live there then keep awake on playing the game downstairs. Very easy to find the table games from entrance of hotel but hard to find sign for something to do in the property.

I stay at The D every year. THIS time they changed a lot of things. The room does not have a refrigerator anymore. Nor a small table and chairs, nor a coffee pot. I was not happy. However, they DID remodel the bathroom with a great shower.I would have preferred the old bathroom if that meant keeping the other amenities. Most of the favorite machines are no longer there. But everyone needs to update things. However, the music is absolutely horrible! It is this head banging hip hop garbage and it i... Read more

On my last day in Vegas I stopped in just before I had to go back to my room and leave for the airport in a couple hours . I was just checking the place out thinking I might like staying here sometime . Walking thru the casino I put a $20 in a machine on a hunch . It hit right away for about $60. I felt nice so I collected and continued to check the place out . A machine is never seen before caught my attention so I put my coupon in the machine . I hit the buttons a few times and a screen that ... Read more

When we arrived at the hotel we requested to be on a higher level so we could have a view and they happily obliged. The location is great and the beds/pillows are incredibly comfortable. The shower did not have any hot water so we called the front desk and they had a maintenance guy up within 10 minutes to fix it. He said he would be a little while working on it so we left him to it and hit the town and when we got back he had fixed it. From there, it was smooth sailing.
