A good alternative to the Strip hotels. Freemont Street has plenty of life and entertainment. The bedroom was a good size and clean, we did have a bit of trouble with the hot water. The casino was lively in the evenings with dancing croupiers. The bar tenders at the Long Bar put on a good show with the cocktail shakers etc.

Great location. Espacially for the fremont experience. Staff were friendly. Beware. No fridge. Late nights (music) apart from that it was clean and comfy, housekeeping is a little ambitous in the mornings though. Quite noisy

We have stayed here pretty much once a year since it opened and sometimes twice. This time we rented a double queen room after always staying in a king room. I personally think that the double queen was much nicer in the bathroom. Perhaps the king rooms I have stayed in just haven't been upgraded, but this time in the double Queen our bathroom had a large square sink and a large walk in shower. No tub. LOVED IT!!!! The rainfall shower head worried me at first because I am not a fan of them ... Read more

Guest parking starts in 7th floor of garage! I as well as other guests Had issues exiting parking garage with room key...I could hear neighbors talking...Poor customer service. Rooms are just OK. I have been staying here for years since the turnover from the former Fitzgerald's and have experienced ups and downs in service, but still keep coming back. I have stayed in the standard rooms, the deluxe rooms, and this trip was upgraded by my travelling companion's boss at the last minute to the "D Suite" from our double Queen room. My companion was a platonic friend so the surprise upgrade caught us off guard and we didn't really realize until bedtime that we had to sleep together. The next ... Read more

Was told someone would call when the room was ready. Went to dinner, milled around Fremont for a bit. No phone call. (Keep in mind, it was 100+ out there) At 5:30, checked to see if room wa... One hundred of 2 nights sounds very nice to live in a premium hotel. The room was very big and clean. But so cold in the room, just like they don't wanna people to sleep who live there then keep awake on playing the game downstairs. Very easy to find the table games from entrance of hotel but hard to find sign for something to do in the property.

I stay at The D every year. THIS time they changed a lot of things. The room does not have a refrigerator anymore. Nor a small table and chairs, nor a coffee pot. I was not happy. However, they DID remodel the bathroom with a great shower.I would have preferred the old bathroom if that meant keeping the other amenities. Most of the favorite machines are no longer there. But everyone needs to update things. However, the music is absolutely horrible! It is this head banging hip hop garbage and it i... Read more

When we arrived at the hotel we requested to be on a higher level so we could have a view and they happily obliged. The location is great and the beds/pillows are incredibly comfortable. The shower did not have any hot water so we called the front desk and they had a maintenance guy up within 10 minutes to fix it. He said he would be a little while working on it so we left him to it and hit the town and when we got back he had fixed it. From there, it was smooth sailing.

I had never stayed here before but was pleasantly surprised! The rooms were very nice, beds were comfy, restaurant was good. The only suggestion I would make for anyone staying here is it is on Freemont street so ask for the highest floor level you can get. We were on 16 and it could have been quieter if we had been higher up. But overall I would definitely stay here again!

My friend took me to the Coney Island Hot Dogs located at The D Hotel/Casino in downtown Las Vegas. We entered from inside The D, however, there is a door directly out to Fremont Street. The staff was very friendly. It's a tiny place with about 10 tables. The hotdog was delicious. It is fairly quiet in there, which is nice to sit & enjoy a conversation. It is quite loud once you walk out on Fremont Street, but FUN! Will go back when craving a good hot dog

The hotel and casino is an upgrade from the former Fitzgerald on Fremont St. You would think with all of the money funneled into this renovation that the elevator system would be state of the art. Unfortunately, not. The system has you enter your floor number and assigns you to a specific elevator, A-E, I believe. So instead of just waiting for the next available elevator, you're stuck waiting endlessly for your elevator. Same concept coming back down. What's ridiculous is that we waited w... Read more

Nice hotel and casino...think midsize. Rooms are big and comfortable. The bed is super comfy. Not a lot of table games or slot machines compared to other casinos, but it has a neat vibe and really central to everything downtown. In an older part of town, the casino seems newer and well maintained compared to others downtown. I would stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed here for work. The hotel was dated, and it's risque theme of gogo dancers doesn't quite fit with the decor and entertainment offering. Pluses: comfy bed, convenient location Minuses: limited parking (though free. We had to park in a nearby hotel), rumbling aircon. The stained iron almost ruined my shirt.
