If you want to just relax at night in your comfy clothes and play slots, this is the hotel! Perfect for morning actives also, buy the $8.00 bus pass and you can go everywhere!"

We arrived to the Stratosphere prior to check in, our rooms were not ready and we were promised both of our rooms would be ready no later than 3pm and we would get a call to let us know. NO call and at 3 pm we went back to the front desk and were told only1 of our rooms were ready. Especially considering we were paying for upgraded rooms, we were very frsutrated. Finally a manager came out to speak with us, after us asking to speak with them 3 different times.
Finally we were checked in to BOTH rooms, an hour later. The Casino floor itself STUNK like stale cigarettes. If you are NOT a smoker, I would not recommend, especially if you wish to gamble. On the first night 1 of our toliets in the rooms compeletey BROKE! We had to change rooms at 1:00 am in the morning.
Nonethless we were very frustrated throughout this trip and considering it was our first time to vegas, we would not stay here again. NEXT time we would pay the couple extra hundred $$ and stay somewhere nice like the MONTE Carlo, The Mirage, etc.

"Not Happy. Will never stay here again. They of course did not have the room I booked when we arrived at 3 am after driving for 10 hours. So she says she is gonna give us an upgrade to strip view. Which is what I thought I ordered in the first place but she argued with me of course. They said if we were not happy with that room we can call at 11 am to c if the one we originally booked was available. So we go up to or room it smells in there bad. We finally get to sleep at 6 am I constantly get woke up because u can hear everything through the walls & doors. People talking people flushing the toilets. It was not ok with me. I understand some noise but that was out of control. U would think they would have some kind of sound barriers so u can sleep. N paper thin walls & gap under the door. So at 11 when I called to complain I asked her If I can look at the other room to see if it was nicer & a little more quit. Of course they have to change everything just to let u go look at the room. So whatever. Needless to say it was alot nicer with the parking garage view & still noisy. U get what u pay for is a true statement. If I would have known I would have payed an extra $50,00 to stay closer to the strip in the MGM. I thought the stratosphere was close to the other hotels but its not. A no go on my list."

Unlimited admission to the tower.
Cons - Checked in a 2 in the night, and realized the flush isn't working. Took the staff about 2 hrs to realize they cant fix it and assign a new room. After they assgined a new room, they didnt register the new room on my name. Next day wen we went out and tried to get in, we were locked out. The security had to let us in and verify if we were the rightful tenants. It was really irritating that we had to explain the whole thing again. There was zero co-ordination betwen the nite staff and morning co-ordination

"My trip was excellent for a trip that was booked in just one day advance. I was surprised that I could get the room I desired, Which was a smoking room. however was disappointed, that they did not have coffee in the rooms. had to go down stairs to get a cup of coffee. plus on the advert for the room it said included unlimited access to the tower top. But the hotel said that was an extra charge, So watch out for that. Over all clean and friendly staff. The people are rude as hell and the wait to eat was unbearably long. For a resort hotel, all the restaurants closed way to early. and the prices at the local fast food places were tripple!! "

"The stay was definitely worth it for the amount we payed. The room was very underwhelming, there is no view what so ever on the lower floors (you open the window to see a wall). Very tiny bathroom as well, i would expect a little nicer from a supposedly high end Vegas strip hotel. Our shower seemed to be broken as well, the faucet at the bottom never shut off when turning the shower head on.
The casino was nice with good food choices' as well. Never had to wait long for the drink waitress to come around while sitting on the slot machines. The casino also didn't seem smokey unlike some of the other casinos on the strip so that was a minor plus.
The tower was great, there always seemed to be a drink deal at some bar at some point. The happy hour deal was buy 1 martini get one free but the hotel prohibited splitting the two-fer, however hour bartender was nice about it and said he would pretend to look the other way.
The main gripe I had was that although its advertised to be 'conveniently located on the north end of the strip' it might as well be the palms (off the strip entirely). It seems like its over a miles walk to the next casino on the strip (circus circus) which itself is out of the way from the main portion of the strip. Its also a very shady area to walk through especially at night. Either having to walk passed homeless asking for change or being hounded by someone who is hell bent on getting you into a nightclub for free or getting you a free dinner. Also with the Sahara closed down it can be difficult to find the monorail. Expect to pay a minimum of $20 each way if you intend to take a taxi. BOTTOM LINE: If you intend to just stay at the hotel/casino/tower then this is a great choice.
If you plan on interacting with the rest of the strip I feel that its not worth it. Your better off looking for a different hotel perhaps spending a little more to stay somewhere on the strip between treasure island and the MGM."

"It was a horrible hotel I have ever been. The room had been fixed and tidy up for 3 days even you gave the housekeeper call for make sure you needed the service. Hotel map scale is wrong and totally misleaded. it was located far end the other side of the strip and you get no way to walk to the prime area. There are so many abandoned construction sites in between the hotel and Wynne. You need to take the cap back to the strip. Security is bad and everybody from the casino can go up to the hotel room. Such a bad experience."

"I did enjoy my stay this past weekend...very fun but chill..ihad the 22nd floor smoking room wi my boyfriend...not a lot of noisy parties.....I was happy about that. When we got there the lobby was busy and a long line that went quickly. They didn't have a king bed so the upgraded us to deluxe room with seperate sitting area...not bad ...very pungent smoke smellon the floor but didn't bother too much.. decor was ok housekeeping didn't change our sheets though.. Bathroom is tiny so bring ur own spray lol pool was a must go do...bar has awesome mojitos and cool vegas flair. It also gives u a clear view of the tower...beautiful! Neighborhood...a little hood and skeptical about a couple blocks from the main strip and the monorial ..people hounding u for stuff along the way..about 15 dollars from there to treasure island... plus with our booking we had comp access to tower. Level 108 stories up for an amazing view that made having drinks at the air bar a very fun and romantic experience...they have an old school dj and. Mature crows...a few punk kids but its vegas so whatever...downside was a little scary with the rides right above us...a litle shaking going on made me nervous..also being in an elevator going up 108 stories was kinda tripppy...my poor boyfriends hand was numb by the time we got there..but really just about 1 minute of highspeed thrust to the top. I needed a drink fast! The way down wasn't bad. I would stay again! Its decent for the money u pay."

"So overall, the hotel is ok. The check in process was pretty fast and the girl was very nice. They have a renovated area of the hotel that they offer as an 'upgrade' that you have to pay extra for. We opted against that. Our room was very below average. The beds were hard, the furniture was old and the TV did not work. The lights were real dim. I think its a shame that you have to pay for a better quality of a room, with the exception of a suite, etc. It was just ok, so you do save money staying here because it is cheap, but you make up for it with the cabs. And the food is ok, the 50's diner is good and open late."

"We booked two rooms and in one of the rooms, the shower head fell off as my daughter got into the shower, the toliet was broken. They did fix the shower head but not the toliet. The Casino is at the very end of the strip with no other casino's near it. We had a horrible experience there and would never recommend it to any of our friends."

"This is a great value stay on the Strip for the family. We found it easy to use Express Bus Service up and down the Strip from here. Also great to have MacDonalds on the retail level. Great fitness centre and tower access included is great. Ask for an upgrade to the Select tower for a view and renovated rooms as this is probably money well spent. While the shower heads leave a lot to be desired, this is a great hotel for families on a budget."

"Our stay was great! The beds were great, clean rooms, the sheets were soft, it was a great time. The taxi's were $$, it is a really long walk to the strip but now I can say I walked the strip LOL. The Bite show was cool and cheap. The buffet was large and good the price was pretty cheap it was like $20.00 a person not to bad. We ate at an Italian place called Capo's it was totally AWSOME if you like the Mobster atmosphere (which we do) then you will love this place it was like being in the 1930's it is $30 bucks a plate but it was so worth it. The staff was amazing it was great. The ride from the airport to hotel was long with all the stops but I think next time I will pay extra for a limo ride. If you don't and you get the package deal make sure you call 24hrs before you leave because it will take 30-40 min to get to the airport. Over all the time we had was great! Can't wait to go back!"

"I guess you get what you pay for. Great price buy lousy room location. The view was the parking garage,the bathroom was outdated and moldy smelling. The faucet handle broke off during our stay. They repaired it somewhat The casino is a good walk from the rest of the strip and the area was a little shadey. The upside was the tower. Great dinner with the rotating restaurant at Top of the world. The night view of vegas was awesome. We got a flyer one day telling us they were going to do some upgrading to the hotel bathrooms in the coming month,which is much needed. Staff was friendly and helpfull."

I would stay there on our next trip to Vegas. It was also much more quiet than other hotels located in the middle of the strip. It was WHAT! i had this booked. and paid for a month ago, showed the paper works and she discovered the trouble, it was in the computer for May 24 not March24, but they did some calling and checking and gave us our deal. "So we booked a room with a strip view and got a view of the pool and the roof top of the heating & AC units......The 'StripView' was little to be desired. The air ventillation system did not cool lower than 69 degrees and it it was very toasty I dont think the cooling was working properly. There were no Bath fans in the rooms. the rooms were very dated but the beds are still extremly confortable. As far as the staff, most everyone was very friendly however the 1st day we had plenty of towles (4 to 5 sets), next day we were shorted a towel, face cloth, hand towel, day three again 1 less set, day 4 we were down to 2 sets of towles and had to re-use face cloths (eeew, who wants to do that, when your on vacation towles should not be an issue). As far as the food ther is NO Variety, you either get the buffet, fast food or a overpriced gresssy spoon also known as the Roxy. Would be nice to have a decent Cafe on the premises. However I have stayed here before and I do like the fact that they moved Valet up front so you dont have to drive thru the ghetto to get back onto the Strip."

"While the hotel was affordable I may possible consider spending a bit more money for another hotel next time I go to Vegas for the following reasons... -Mold on the shower walls -Broken hair dryer- it kept shutting off and popping the breaker even though nothing else was plugged in. -Pool was freezing (and I come from Washington) and not that nice. -The only choices to eat inside were limited especially late. The Roxy? took forever for food service and even when I'm three sheets to the wind I won't touch McDonald. -Slightly too far off the strip. The good parts were that all the customer service representatives were very nice and helpful and for what you pay it's fairly nice inside."

"The hotel was very disappointing to start off the A/C unit will only go to a set temp.and I was very uncomfortable at night. Then there was no refridgetor in the room I was unaware I needed an ice chest to wake up to a cold coke. I had to hold the toilet seat up to pee or it would fall. the TV did work. Finally what kind of hotel in vegas doesn't have a safe in the room, well found it. The only thing I can say was good was the staff."

"There were 5 of us in 2 rooms and we all had a great time. Enjoyed the buffet downstairs for one of our meals. Went up to the observation deck and 2 from our group rode on the Insanity and loved it. We had a nice view from our rooms and had no problems with room service. The only thing that the swimmers in our group hoped for was that the pool and jacuzzi would have been opened in the night after a long days walk to relax in. "We were a little disappointed to find that although the hotel is 'technically' on the strip is was WAY down away from everything else. Once we found the bus stop right outside and that the buses run 24 hours and a day pass only cost $7 we got around with no problem. Our room was nice, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The buffet was good and the view from the tower was amazing. The casino was nice and had a good variety and was not too crowded and offer a low as well as high table minimums to suit all gambling types. The revolving restaurant offered a breathtaking view with a very romantic ambiance. The food was good but not even close to being worth the prices. I had much better meals in Vegas for a fraction of the cost. Skip the overpriced restaurant and hit the 107 Lounge for cocktails and appetizers to enjoy the experience and save some cash. I would recommend this hotel if you want a quieter spot away from the crowds. We had a fabulous experience!"

"we stayed 2 nites the first time and it wasn't that bad , old and worn the shower was plugged and didn't work much the view was ok didn't see much of the strip other buildings in the way. the second time was trouble we paid for a valley view and got a window over the front street with a 4x4 window which open up to 2x4 view could see any thing complained and ask for a different room was told no if i look at a angle i could see the valley. exhaust fan noise . sink filled up with sewage we had to push the drain plug down to stop it complained and the staff did come and clean up the mess but smell was bad ask for a different room . they said no would not stay there again got what i paid for cheap."

"My wife and I stayed in one of the recently remodeled rooms with 2 queen beds. We had requested a king non-smoking but were placed in double queen smoking the first night we arrived. They promptly offered non-smoking king the next morning but we had already unpacked our things for the week and the room was nice. It did not smell of a smoking floor. Staff was friendly. The hotel is a ways from all the others on the strip and that is a drag when tired and taxis are very expensive. The monorail is about 3 long blocks away. Otherwise, hotel is GREAT! "

"I enjoyed my trip to Vegas except for my night at Stratosphere. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are really broke and can not afford the other hotels. But then there are other cheaper hotels around the strip. Stratosphere is not at all close to the strip and it is not as good looking as the pictures.
My friend and I got a non smoking two bed but when we went to check in around 1:30am we were not asked about our preference until we went to our room and with the strong smoking smell we had to go and get our room exchanged. We were back to the reception desk to get a non smoking room but the manager i believe on duty said he had nothing available and its first come first serve. I explained to him that i have health issues and will have problems but he said he can not do anything and i am sure he was lying because i believe they only had suites available which i am sure he wouldnt wanna upgrade us but he instead offered to spray our room with some chemical which was horrible. We tried to sleep in that room but by morning i just had it. I could not believe they were so unconsidered even after i told them i had health problems. It sucked that it was 1 in the morning and after my flight i did not want to go around looking for hotel rooms and the manager even told us that every hotel was booked. We had to sleep in sheets that smelt like cigarettes and also our towels. We woke up smelling like cigarettes. My frontal sinus was hurting me due to the smoke and my nose was all clogged up. My eyes were puffy. We could nto handle it and when i called the reception again around 730am i spoke to the same manager (male) and told him how horrible our experience was and needed to checkout. WE understand and know that we would accept cigarette smell in vegas but atleast we want our rooms to be nonsmoking. When we asked the lady at front desk for 12pm courtesy checkout she had so much attitude. I do not even know why hotels would hire people like her who has no customer service skills. We were so gla dot checkout of that place. We checked ourselves in at Palazzo and got us some nice non smoking suites with lovely view of the golf course and wynn. We enjoyed our stay at the Palazzo and we hated our stay at the Stratosphere."

"Stayed here last Feb. ...first time in Vegas..first time at the stratosphere. My experience was great.no problems with my room at all. I stayed in a newly remodeled strat select room. My only problem was that all of the eatery places close at a certain time and i was stuck with only Mcdonalds to choose from. Other than that no problems we opted to go out for lunch and dinner for most of our week stay while we were there! lol"

Missed some of the little things that would have been nice, such as an exhaust fan in the bathroom, a coffee maker, a fridge would have been wonderful. We paid for a premier suite, so we expected more amenities. Didn't like having to pay for WI-FI, it is free every where else you go. The Buffet was excellent! Quick access to the bus system was very convenient. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Not having an indoor pool was very disappointing for us December guests."

"The stay over all was ok. They were a little booked when we got there, so no non smoking rooms were available. We were able to get that changed the next day. If you're going to play poker they have a little poker room and usually 1 cash game playing. They do have 2 great restaurants to choose from. Morning coffee at either Mcdonalds or Starbucks. The casino is up the strip from all the other casinos. If you take the Monorail it takes 10 minutes, but cost 30 a person to get unlimited rides for 3 days. To get to the monorail at night is a little sketchy since you have to walk side streets to get to it. Plenty of panhandlers and homeless along with the walk."

"My husband and I just got back from a 5 night stay at the Stratosphere.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonably priced
place to stay on the strip. The walking is a bit much as it is located on the far North
end of the strip. I would recommend the Monorail it is $24 for an unlimited 3 day pass which is VERY worth it! We went to see Defending the Caveman at Harrah's while there it was a must see. The rooms were very nice and the housekeeping did a great job! I would stay there again! Enjoy Vegas!"

"Arrived at the hotel late at night from a long flight; check-in was a very long wait. There were 3 customer service reps at the desk and a long line up of customers (20 )waiting to be served. We were given a hotel room that faced a wall and ventilation units. absolutely no view! The room smelled a little stale. They offered us to upgrade our room (a newly renovated room) for $18.00 a night extra. In regards to staff efficiency, we were bounced around from one counter to another for simple questions. Also waited a little over 30 minutes to get served by the concierge to book our shuttle bus. She was the only one working at the desk. Perhaps another staff member would be required to work there for efficient customer service at all times. The staff however was friendly. Restaurants were very expensive. We went up the tower and enjoyed our experience; something to definitively see; the view was amazing! It was quite the hike to access the pool. However the pool was very nice and we enjoyed watching the activities of the tower. Depending on what you are looking for, the stratosphere is OK. Note: we would be looking for a different experience!"

"Room we booked was not ready, but an upgrade for an extra 25 per night was. The only thing that was really good was the view. The drain in the bathroom was plugged, the Jacuzzi tub was dirty, and the safe was locked. For a newly remodeled room some of the fixtures looked old. There was no place to unload suitcases, except on the bed, and only 2 chairs available.
That being said, we did find the staff very helpful and did generally enjoy our stay."

" I loved Vegas!... We had a great time! So much to see and do... the bus is the best way around town, so no drivers excluded from the partys required! The hotel is off the strip so we got a good nights sleep every night . That was inportan to me cause when i leave a party its should be done.The hotel has so much to offer that you realy need to check it out before you leave out for the strip. The rooms were not too fancy but an upgrade from what we though we had paid for. Every finish, from carpet to drapes was new and clean. My only complaint was if you travel with family they do not have a hotel laundry for you to be able to pack light and re-wash your clothes. Thats a big problem cause i dont ever want to have to do my laundry at laundry- mat while on vaction.The buffet was about 20 dollars but the hotel card made it about 17.00 a lot cheaper than what I saw at other hotels on the strip. Good service, location off strip. i am an over 40 so I don't care for party goers in the elevators at my hotel so party on the strip sleep off the strip. The party is only a bus ride away!!"

"The PICTURES look nice. When we got there at 8am we were told early check in was a request and we would still have to wait untill 11am to get into our room. After speaking with a manager we were given a handicap room. The room was gloomy and looked nothing like the picture on this site. The next day we wanted a coffee....it was no coffee maker in the room, so they brought us one up. It was broke and only brewed a third a cup. We asked for another one and the front desk staff asked did we know how to use it. We were moved because the air didnt work. They moved use to the 24th floor where the rooms did look like the ones on the picture. For the price the remodeled part of the hotel is nice. So, if you book this hotel ask for a remodeled room. Its not to far from all the action and the bus line comes not to far from the hotel. The bell men were nice."

"I thought I had paid for the premier strip view and i was place on the back side of the hotel looking at mountains. I paid the extra to have a strip view. "overall its OK. if you plan to stay at one hotel and not venture out... the strat is good. if you plan to visit the strip, not worth it, its too far at the other end of the strip and costs $$$ in cab rides everytime you want to go to the 'happening' places. the rides at the top are awesome, the revolving restaurant is awesome (pricey though) but thats it, when we were there, nothing opened till after 10am, the air bar never opened, the pool bar was closed, the italian restaurant was closed, most the staff didnt know answers to our questions, it appeard all the staff was brand new and didnt know their left from their right. we're not going again."

"It is OK, but we expected more. The location is bad, it is on the strip but far from everything, and we had to take taxi or monorail every time we wanted to get closer to the action. SO taxi one way is around 15$. Lounge bars and restaurants close at midnight and if you want nightlife you have to go to the central strip by taxi. Rooms were fine. We made an upgrade just for 15$ a night, and got mountain view and Jacuzzi. WiFi is not free. All in all we are sure that will never stay there and recommend to friends as we didn't like the location, spent a lot on taxi and could live somewhere closer to action, paying 200 more (those money we spent on taxi in 3 days)"

"We got into a Stratosphere Select Room to get the remodelled room and for face value it seemed nice enough - bright with windows looking at the Stratosphere Tower. We were on a Non Smoking Floor - or so said the sign at the elevator - the sign right above the full ashtray. The walls were paper thin - we woke up at 4am to an argument from inside one nearby room and another night to some loud sex from another - and not even the rooms directly next - but others. There were smokers in other rooms as well so that seeped into ours. The beds are decent but there's no bar fridge so you can't keep anything cold. If you get a screaming' deal on this place, take it, it's good enough because you only need it to sleep - but there are others if it's important for you to be a bit more comfortable and enjoy more privacy."

"I gave my husband a trip to Vegas for Christmas. We arrived at the Stratosphere on Wednesday, February 15th. We checked out on the 18th. We truly enjoyed our stay there. Our only complaint is the smoky casino. I know that a 'smoke-free' casino is pretty much non-existent. However, with the allergies that we both have, for any future trips to Vegas we will have to find a place that offers a better ventilation system at the very least.
While I understand that you want your guests to be in the casino, the fact that you charge for wifi is pretty ridiculous. Not only that, but the fee...$11.99...WOW!
I only use my computer when out of town in the evening to check email...it would not have hampered our being in the casino."

"The hotel was really nice for the money. A little far away from everything, but with a bus stop right out the door , you could travel all day for $7.00. Great slots and tables, even though we were not lucky! Roxy's Restaurant was fun and the food was good. The pizza place upstairs was good for the money. View from the tower is awesome!The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the bathroom was definitely old and not very appealing. All in all it was a good value."

"I think the Stratosphere was a great place and yes I did the Skyjump which was awesome. The hotel was great, people were nice, but beware if you eat at Roxy's, it is overpriced and not very good.
My only complaint about the Stratosphere is that they are very greety, they don't offer computers where you can check in for your flights without paying a fee to print your boarding pass. I think that is out of line. Charge 2.00 more for the room and offer computers free of charge for airline check in, that really turned me off."

"Booked my whole trip on bookit.com and we got the best deal comparing to other travel websites. Stratosphere is one great Hotel with plenty to do! We had dinner there every night because the food was great!! Buffet perfect! Room service is great also and freshly prepared food tasted delicious. Rooms are very clean and always cleaned by the staff. I'm a picky person when it comes to room clean-nines but this was e big 10! Stratosphere is a little far from the main attractions but we enjoyed everyday walks to other casinos and enjoyed the beautiful views. The Tower is amazing! one night we got couple of drinks at the tower bar and enjoyed night view of the whole Las Vegas!! It is great and worth every penny!"

"My family and I stayed at the Stratosphere from 1/20/12 - 1/25/12. After check-in, we went up to our room on the 10th floor to find a pair of jeans behind a chair in the room, and a noticeable, large, stain on the bedskirt. I'm not even quite sure if this room had been cleaned prior to our arrival. I was disgusted and immediately called housekeeping to change the entire bedding. My boyfriend went down to the front desk to complain about the situation..was not offered an upgrade or anything else to make us happy.
There are no mini refigerators in the room, so dont expect one.
The first night there,I sat down at a slot machine for at least 3 hours, not once did I see a waitress for a drink. The second night, I was at the same slot machine for an hour and a half looking for a waitress to come by. After finally waving one down, she snapped at me that she would be over in a minute. I ordered a simple beer, then it took her another half hour to get it to me. The rest of our time there, I did not see a waitress at all, and did not get a drink once at my slot machine.
If you want internet access, it will cost you $11.99 per day, per device. You will also get charged $7.99 per day for use of the pool and gym. (We were charged even though the pool is an outdoor pool and it was 60 degrees, and we did not utilize it).
The room doors slam ever time they close, so if you want to get some sleep, forget about it, all that you hear is slamming doors all night long.
And dont try to speak to the housekeeping staff, we tried, and of course, they can't speak English, so they had no idea what we were saying to them.
As I said, we stayed on the 10th floor. All that you could smell the second the elevator door opened was marijuana. (I had 2 of my children with me).
Over-all....I would NOT recommend this hotel to anybody, and we know that we will never be staying there again.

"When we arrived they allowed to check in at 1:oo no extra charge the cleanliness of the building was awesome. They are constantly cleaning everything and picking up trash so refreshing. "Overall it was a great trip and worth the money. If you dont mind having a refrigerator and being a nice distance down the strip from all the events and parties, then this is the best bang for your buck. The party in the tower was not for guests.....its a private party. You get unlimited tower trips, but once you go once and see the great view, you dont go back up, so its not really a perk or decision maker. Overall, its a great hotel with casino, food, etc, the distance and having to catch a bus is just an icebreaker for me.

"Being my first time in Las Vegas, the room itself was great, clean, roomy, really no complaints. many people told me that the surrounding neighborhood was a little shady, and when I left the next morning I found that to be true. However everything you need is on site and there is no need to leave your domain. Upon parking I found it to be very secure as there was a heavy security presence there. The hotel itself was the same also. in conclusion the hotel room itself was a great value, but everything else was a bit pricy. But it is Las Vegas, so what would one expect."

"I would have to say that my experience at the Stratosphere was AWESOME!!! They had one bad point, but other than that it was a great and awesome time. The food was great, and i found things to do with my son there and i didn't have to leave if i didn't want to. They were so helpful with my mom, (she's disabled) and they treated us, like we were queens and kings.
My only bad point was when i went to the ace play area, when i first arrived there. And they have a tiny sign on the oppisite end stating that children cant stand there. (HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO SEE THAT) Well the worker there was so rude about it, that i could not believe tht she was talking to me like i was ignorant! Another lady walked up and seen that i was upset and took care of me instead. To be honest, if someone else didnt come and stepped up, I would requested to leave at that momment."

"Immediately upon our entry in the hotel doors the Stratosphere management has allowed a carnie-style desk and sales people to sign you up for a four hour timeshare presentation for a "free... gift. Then the timeshare presentation (Polo Towers) was reluctant to give the promised gift at the end of the presentation. Our first in-house dining experience was a bust at Roxie's Diner because the staff was tied up cleaning vomit off one of the tables. The room temperature was much warmer than our liking and was not able to be adjusted our entire stay. Then on our fourth night (before having to get up at 6am for our flight) the phone rang repeatedly at 2am trying to deliver someone else's room service to our room. The Stratosphere complex is very cool, even though it is located at the very farthest point on the strip. Overall a decent experience."

"Overall we had a great time. Wasn't pleased with a couple of issues. For starters, we booked the Deluxe tour to the Hoover Dam which was supposed to include a Cruise on Lake Mead. We were not notified about changes in schedule during winter months. Paid Deluxe price, have not been refunded extra costs for Deluxe package.
Secondly, two months prior I booked a reservation for Christmas Dinner at 7pm in the restaurant, 'Top of the World', I received a confirmation for the reservation within an email. Upon arrival to the desk at 630pm on Christmas Day, we were informed very rudely that there was no reservation for us. We were treated and talked to like trash, needless to say, we didn't get to dine as we had planned. We had been looking forward to Christmas Dinner in that establishment ever since we booked the hotel/airfare package and the reservation."

"We checked in to the Stratospher on Tuesday! We had an early plane so we arrived way before 3 pm. They let us check in early around 11/12 ish, that was great. We got a free upgrade to a better suite then we had originally booked! That was pretty awesome. We had a nice view of the mountains & people jumping from the sky jump, it was so cool! We had a very large jacuzzi tub, however, one of the jets kept popping out everytime we turned it on. It was very clean! The staff was awesome and took care of everything we needed in a timely manner. We had a lot of fun in the Casino! I was not at all impressed with the buffet. It looked way better then it tasted! I was not informed about the play card until the last day, so most of the money I spent on slot machines/poker/black jack was not put on my card. One of the managers did however comp our 2 buffet meals! It was a good thing, because it was gross and would have cost $30. The view from the Stratosphere Tower was awesome! I have never seen anything like it before. It was so beautiful. Watching the roller coaster/rides at the top was crazy, although I couldn't get enough courage to try them out. Overall it was a pretty good time. I would reccommend it to my friends, just not the buffet."

"We are aware that this hotel is under new mgmt! we arrived at the hotel and were told that the room we had was in the tower that was being rennovated and if we wanted an up to date room it would cost $15.00 more per night. ? we informed the front desk that it was our 5th wedding anniversary and would appreciate a nice view so we agreed to pay the extra. we got to the room and found that for 15.00 more per night instead of being on floors 1-6 we were on floor 14 that was just over looking the air conditioners, we called from the room after we got there and were told that for $25.00 more per night we could go up to the 18th floor???? What this is the slow time of year in Vegas with a bad economy and no guest perks at all? plus mediocre room cleanliness the second night so we had to complain about that. let's talk about WIFI that is billed per device? what? you pay $11.99 for 24 hours of wifi and if you have an iphone and an ipad you are billed $24.00 for 24 hours? we travel a lot and have never been so nickel and dimed about every little issue........when booking economical travel accomodations in this economy it would seem that a hotel under renovation and new Mgmt would empower front line cusotmer service reps with some ooptions for guests on thier anniversary who are willing to come and spend money that otherwise would not be there at all> we will go back to Vegas but we will not stay in this hotel ever again.......to much nickel and dime on every issue no flexiblity on billing options and customer service people seem to have no power to resolve customer issues or if they do they don't know it."

"We were there during the rodeo and a second honeymoon. It was a short 3 day trip. Everything was wonderful from the staff to the restaurants. "I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel...did not leave the hotel at all....celebrating sister's 60th b'day! Room was ok but what was up with thoes tubs? Too high. Three to a room and never enough towels, and do not eat at Roxy's. "The hotel was extremely friendly. They only have one drink delivery girl, on the floor, in the mornings. This was upsetting after realizing there is no coffee maker in the room. "I was a little hesitant to stay at the Stratosphere because of the location. Turned out to be a great place to stay. The staff was very professional and courteous, The room was clean and beds were quite comfortable. Roxie's Diner was entertaining and fun because the waiters and waitresses come out a sing and, most importantly, had good food. The buffet was just ok - a little on the expensive side. I was able to pick up a few souveneirs at a few of the stores on the 2nd floor of the hotel which was quite convenient. Overall, our stay here was great and I would recommend the Stratosphere to others."

"I stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel at the end of the strip. The biggest convenience was that it was close to Fremont St, which is where all of the old casinos are. It's covered with a huge canopy; it's really nice. The most economical thing to do is buy a buss pass to ride up and down the strip as much as you want. The hotel was cool but I wished the smoke didn't hit you in the face as soon as you walked in. There were not many non-smoking sections inside and that was disappointing since I don't smoke. The room was nothing special other than the view of the mountains outside of our window. One day our room never got cleaned and we had to call and request someone to come. Service was fair. The biggest advantage in the hotel was a McDonnald's with reg pricing (even a dollar menu)! The shops inside the hotel had great bargains compared to pricing on the same items on the strip. BookIt.com was great in helping me plan my trip and the pricing was unbelievable! I will definitely be using BookIt.com for all my future travel!!!"

"Hotel was OK. Additional money to stay in 'newly remodeled' room NOT worth the extra money. Pool area wasn't bad. Staff was mostly friendly except the bellman. Expensive to travel to strip area (minimum of $12 for one way taxi). No shuttle service provided for airport transportation. Charges for internet service were outrageous. Better to spend extra on strip hotel with free services. Spent much more money than anticipated and this wasn't our first trip to Vegas. Probably won't return to this hotel on our next trip."

"First of all, this review is coming from someone who doesn't drink, gamble or smoke, but I got a pretty good deal by booking the flight, hotel and car through 'Book It'. Having said that, my room was decent, nothing fancy, but clean. The room had been remodeled a few years ago, but it seems they left out the bathroom, it was a bit dated with linoleum on the floor and an old counter top. This is a casino, so just walking through to the elevator was miserable with cigarette smoke and even though my room was a nonsmoking room, sometimes I could smell cigarettes as strong as if they were in my room. The good points, the Stratosphere tower is awesome, the view is spectacular, I didn't go to the bar or restaurant, but I'm sure they are great as well."

"The checking line was a bit lengthy, but once you go to the counter it went smooth. Room was nice and clean, no smell of smoke at all, but I do think there should be some sort of fan in the bathroom. We found out this time while staying there were more and different things in the Hotel to do and see, food is way too high to keep us in the hotel all the time. We had our pictures taken, they are way too high to buy more than one or two at the most, make it more reasonable next time. This time was our second time in a year staying at this Hotel & Casino."

It's a bit far from the Strip but not so much that its ridiculous. There are cabs and buses available to take from the front of the hotel.
Staff was nice, Mexican restaurant on the 2nd floor makes delicious food at a great price.
Revolving restaurant in the tower provides an amazing view of the Strip. So is the look out point.
Overall the Stratosphere is a great place for families, budget travelers and such. I liked it but if I ever return to Vegas, I would prefer staying at the Wynn, Venetian or Bellagio as they are much more my style."

"This was my second trip to Vegas. I initially stayed away from the Stratosphere because I thought for the price, there has to be something wrong with the place....
Well I took a gamble, and it was well worth it. My stay at the Stratosphere was really enjoyable. The hotel was clean, the staff was super friendly, and the view from the tower was absolutely amazing. The buffet was amazing and they even had free champagne and mimosas at brunch there!
The only thing is that is was a little farther from the Strip. However, if you don't mind walking a little or even taking a taxi, it's well worth it.

"This wasn't a bad hotel. I think the room was a little pricey for what it got you but overall it was a nice room with really, really comfortable beds (my back did not have any issues while I was there and it normally always does), and nice staff. I would definitely recommend going up the tower, it was an amazing view over Vegas, the pool was clean and the rooftop location of the pool was fun too. You could see the surrounding mountains and the strip. The hotel is located pretty far away from all the entertainment though but there is a shuttle bus directly outside the hotel, which is way less expensive than cabs ($7 dollars for 24 hours) but it also stops everywhere and takes about an hour to go 5 miles, so if you're into walking places or taking your time, I'd recommend this hotel. If you want to be on the strip, I'd search for a different one"

"The Stratosphere is separated from both the Strip and Downtown (Freemont Street) by several miles and some bad neighborhoods. so I would not recommend staying here if its your 1st trip to Vegas and you want to see the sights. If you have been here done that, this is an excellent venue at the Top of the World. The casino is medium-sized and has plenty of playful penny slots that pay well (hit a $355 and $200 bonus within an hour on 2 different games playing 40 cents/spin)
The 2-4-1 martinis and 50% off apps 4-7 PM at the 107 Lounge are not to be missed as a before dinner treat; many entrees on the menu at dinner at Top of the World are overpriced but the view makes your forget that... the service is superb. Best buy is Fellininis, an Italian place where the apps could be a meal for 2; the pasta is great in this independent of the casino establishment. We met the chef and he's truly an Italian character...
The 'deluxe' rooms have not been updated yet, and we were offered an upgrade at check in ($15/nt) which we declined; this turned out to be a bad idea, as the clientele that party til the wee hours are in the 'deluxe'rooms which appear to have very little sound barriers in the walls. After 2 nights of 4 stoners partying next door, we asked for a room change and were upgraded gratis to the renovated section. Very satisfied with this solution.
All in all a good time. Liquor store within one block, which was good since free drinks are very watered down. Maid service excellent. Unfortunately no coffee maker but Starbucks on site and Roxys Diner a real hit for breakfast; great eggs and fantastic biscuits. Be sure to always show your card and ask for discounts. Shuttle by BookIt was very good and timely."

"The room was a basic room, no view, and nothing spectacular, but we did little more than sleep in the rooms so that was sufficient. The casino is smaller than many on the strip, but that was nice after so much walking! The tower is a fun experience and admission is free for guests - what an awesome view of the city! The city bus picks up right at the Strat, so while it is located at the end of the strip working your way up and down the strip is quite easy using the bus system. The Stratosphere is located close to the Freemont St. Experience and the Gold and Silver Pawn shop of Pawn Stars fame. Roxy's diner is a nice place for a sit down breakfast. Ice Cream at Tower Piece is exceptionally reasonable and there is a McDonalds in the Tower shops for a quick bite. All in all it is a good choice for a reasonable price on the strip."

"I stayed at the Stratosphere from Saturday to Tuesday. It was a great little break from the normal busy routine back home. For what I paid, the Stratosphere was an amazing deal. I really can't fault anything. It had everything I needed and plus I was pleasantly surprised with the pool, and gym facilities at the hotel. I would definitely stay there again."

"We stayed at Stratosphere for one night. We were told by bookit.com that we had to pay extra $10 resort fee to the casino when we get there, but the price we paid to bookit.com already includes unlimited access to the tower and everything else. The room is very spacious and clean. I didn't expect it to be fancy for the price we paid. Casino offered pretty good cusomter service and everyone was nice. If you go to Stratosphere, you gotta go see the view from the tower (night and day), it was so good! "

"I went to Vegas for my honeymoon and spent half my trip at the Stratosphere. Overall, I greatly enjoyed the hotel. The prices were far more reasonable than those at other hotels and we certainly got more than what we paid for. Room service was cheaper than eating at the fast food places at some casinos, table minimums never exceeded $5, and the shops were decently priced, as well. My only complaint is that the Stratosphere is pretty far from anything else in Vegas, so unless you stay within the Stratosphere, you'll certainly need transportation. Also, while the staff was very friendly, it was sometimes hard to get someone to take a drink order because this is definitely more of a friendly, casual moving hotel. Other than that, I greatly enjoyed my time at the Stratosphere and would certainly consider going again."

"The hotel was good with the room update which cost an extra $60 at the desk when we arrived. The hotel is at the end of the main strip and to take the bus is fine, but expect it to take about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to reach the centre area of the strip. Traffic is congested.
The airport transfers were poor to say the least. Bell Trans was not seen for 30 mins. when we arrived so I paid for 2 tickets with grey line $14, 1 one way for 2 people. On the way back to the airport we waited 60 min. with no bus, so I paid another $20 to another company to get us there. We ran through the airport to get our flight which was already boarding when we arrived."

"We had a great time at the stratosphere! We loved the fact it wasn't right on the strip. It was very easy to catch the bus and a short trip to the strip or downtown. We went to the top of the tower in the morning and ended our trip with the tower at night. It was a great ending to our vacation. The staff was always friendly. We even took a nap in the middle of the day so housekeeping left us a message to let them know when it would be convienent to clean the room. They came in late at night after we went out.
Anyone who says it's too far away, I can understand that but we walked from downtown back to the hotel and to the strip. It is a ways, but it can be done. I liked the fact it wasn't so busy. The view from the 22nd floor was great too. All in all it was a great vacation! We would recommend this place to anyone!"

"I went to Vegas for a bachlorette party. This hotel was great for the price clean and nice pool with a hot tub on the side. Not all hotels have this there and the fact they are usually not heated it can be pretty chilly water even on a hot day. I loved staying close to the end of the strip it was shorter distance to the outlet malls easy transfer on the bus system. I would stay their again. "

"The stratosphere is a really nice hotel and for the price its even better. The only negative thing I can say is that its waaaaaay to far from everything. You are going to spend a lot of money on taxis if you stay here the walk to any other hotel is too far and I'm used to walking and standing on my feet. If you are going to stay in vegas you should try to stay closer to the middle of the strip. Not the north or south end but the middle just pay the extra cost because u actually make up the difference in cab money."

"I booked this hotel with flight on bookit.com in 02/11 for my best friends 30th bday. AWESOME DEAL! Everything was perfect. Hotel is a GREAT bang for your buck!! The hotel staff upgraded us free of charge to a Newly remolded strat select room when we told them this was our first stay with them! Hotel has huge casino and there is a starbucks right in the lobby of the hotel!! The only issue with this hotel is the location is a bit far from the action. A very dreadful walk to the center of the strip. We needed to take a cab most of the time which was pricey. But other than that, not bad at all. "

"Stayed here for 5 nights and had a blast. Just after they remodeled and it was nice. Had a blast in the lounge one night with some of the older Motown acts that randomly dropped by. Room, staff, value and hotel were all very nice. Saw all the shows too. Get the 2 for1, or free ticket for the vampire show. Rides on top are insane and a blast! Only down side is location isn't very close to others on the strip, but buses pick up right outside. In the middle if you're going downtown, so that's nice. Will stay again."
