Checked in quickly and the room was clean and well prepared. We had an eight night stay and enjoyed every single minute of it. Loads of restaurants to choose from and the bowling area and Cinema worth a visit. We have already booked to return just after the Xmas period.

Went to a concert for my 50th birthday in Vegas. Wanted to stay in a good place that didn't cost a fortune. South Point was it. Easy to get to and to jump on and off the freeway to get everywhere. Free parking. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Coupon packet given at check in with half off buffet coupons. Get your players card before you do the buffet for an added discount. The place was light and bright. Clean. HUGE. Bowling alley, movie theater, arena, etc. We were on the 19th floor and had ... Read more

As a bowler interested in the tournaments I would recommend this site as one of the very best. Its newly opened Lanes along with in lanes within the casino are by far the place to be for multiple activit The rooms are very comfortable and far exceeds other casinos with bowling tournaments. Your choice of food is wide oprn and their buffet is outstanding Gambling offers a wide variety of choices

I really like this place, a little off the main strip but a nice place. The meals that we had were very good, price was fair. We could have paid a lot more on the strip and got the same meal, Room was nice size and very clean. They also offer a shuttle to the airport that saves you from leaving your car at the airport and that is a big saving there.Great room, nice place and good price what more can you ask for.

We have eaten there twice and found the food to be average, service a little erratic and not a lot of attention to upping the game. I get it: a fast food place in a casino - hardly a place to dine. You are there to chow down but we had to send back one chicken dish that was inedible - doesn't anybody eyeball the food on the way out? The place moves a lot of people but I am sure their attendance is mostly from low price.

Located at the extreme south end of Las Vegas Boulevard, about 5 miles beyond Mandalay Bay, South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa is an expansive, well designed property. We attended a trade show here, which was one of several happening concurrently on the property. The arena was also hosting barrel racing championships - South Point is the only property certified to host animal events, and is home to Pro Rodeo in November. A bustling casino floor, many dining options, lots of bars, a multiplex movi... Read more

Great hotel, lots of amenities. I stayed here for a bowling tournament, they have 2 bowling alleys, fitness center, huge pool, equestrian arena and gambling of course. They have a shuttle to the strip but it costs $8.50 round trip and it wasn't always on time. Rooms were huge. Didn't care for the smoking in the casinos.

I was at the hotel for a convention and when I arrived and got to my room I was surprised at how big the standard room was. There were two double beds in the room with a good space between them and there was still room to add another double bed with space. Great for families with children as you could add a rollaway and crib and still have room for the kids to play. VERY impressed on room sizes. The rooms were very clean. Not luxurious, but not low end. Very comfortable mid-range type hotel. O... Read more

There were 5 of us women that traveled from Wisconsin to Las Vegas in May for the women's national bowling tournament. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We had no problems. One of the ladies was cold and wanted an extra blanket so we stopped at the front desk and asked for one they said housekeeping will deliver. Can you believe it, the blanket was in the room by the time we got to our room. The FREE shuttle from the airport to the hotel was really nice. The next time we go back to Vegas... Read more

Located approximately two-three miles from the Strip, it is worth taking the bus for the buffet, bingo and horse arena activities, The buffet is excellent and offers specials like unlimited Bloody Mary's and other drinks in the cost. The cost is about one-third of the cost of a buffet on the Strip. Make sure you obtain a free Player's Car. Looking for something entirely different, check out the events in the horse arena. Although, this is not a 5 star hotel - I did give a 5 star rating because of the excellent service, accommodations, and overall cleanliness. For a budget, family friendly hotel, they do not skimp on the comfort. The rooms were very large. The bedding was great. The buffet was typical but quality was decent for the price. The pool area was nice. My daughter and I took in a movie. Enjoyed the theater. We will definitely come back.

I ask for adjoining room with my daughter, who wasn't checking in until the next day and was told no problem. When the wind blew over my drink at the pool, the waitress offered to replace it. The hotel is well kept. If you like to gamble at the tables, they have a wide assortment of denominations. The staff are always friendly and the dealers are terrific 9 out of 10 times. Strike up a conversation with them. Ask for comps if you sit down for an extended period of time. They look after their patrons. If the strip is not your thing, South Point is a great place.

I visited South Pointe Casino in late May of this year. The Hotel is just like the photos show: Very well kept and still like new. If you stay here you better have a car, or are willing to use Uber, or cabs. Its at least 5 miles South of the next big casino on the strip (Mandalay Bay). Check in was fast and courteous. I book all of my 300 room nights per year through hotels.com. I checked in today at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas. Air conditioner was not working, tub not draining. Returned to my room later and noticed that I was actually checked into a handicapped room. I did not book a handicap room. Staying 7 nights, and I get put in the room that must have been on the maintenance list since I booked on hotels.com. Not happy, will return to Mandalay Bay when I return to the area.
