"Room was nice but just about everything else was terrible. There was no coffee in the room, and the mini-bar (where you could buy 3 cups for $6) was empty. No microwave in the room. Stood in line for 30minutes to check in. Seemed VERY overpriced even for Vegas. I won't be back. "

"My stay at the Rio this past weekend was great. I normally stay on the strip and wasn't sure if I would enjoy being off the strip. The Rio exceeded my expectations, the rooms were huge and I paid the same price for two nights what I would have paid for one night somewhere else. For example, the Venetian. I stayed at the Venetian the last time I went to Vegas and it was luxury but very expensive! The Rio had great clubs, great food, and nice rooms. I would definitely stay at the Rio again!"

"The Hotel was very nice and very spacious room, quite comfortable, and would reccomend. Now the Buffets, 24 hour special deal, are something else. Avoid the 24 hr special at the several hotels offered. I have been going to Las Vegas nearly 50 years and these buffet are something to avoid on the 24 hr special deal. Tried several of the different hotels and could/would not reccomend any of them. Anyway, viva Las Vegas."

"I booked a 3 day stay at the Rio April 15-17 for our anniversary. During booking I requested a king size bed and a strip view. Upon check in I was disappointed to see a unacceptably long line at the registration desk. Only two check in personnel were working and they looked and acted tired. I was then told they were unable to give me a room with a king size bed and had to settle for two queen.

The room itself was large enough but cleanliness was lacking. What appeared to be a blood stain was observed on the cabinet beneath the bathroom sink. The caulking around the bathtub and outside the bath at the floor was black with what appeared to be mildew or mold. The stopper in the bathtub was broken and when the shower was activated the water continued to come out of the main faucet.

I advised the manager at the front desk about the stain and asked the housekeeper personally to please have it removed. Despite their assurances it was not removed. On our first day of check-in we noticed half full glasses of alcohol sitting on the hallway floor in front of nearby rooms. Additionally their was a pizza box and clothes hangers scattered about the floor. For two two days the housecleaners on our floor stepped over and around the the garbage failing to pick it up.

The value of the room was very good given the low price. Maybe this falls under the old saying of 'you get what you pay for'"

"It was great in Rio, It really world buffet. Carnival world buffet is the best of 6 buffet pass, and the staff nice and friendly, room was big, clean and nice view, free shuttle to the strip 10:00 am to 1:00 am . I will come back and in Rio"

"Usually we get a view of the back lot!! oh well; despite the fact that we have stayed here (8X) and remember when it was family owned! the coffee shop..is not cheap!
the granola...2 small Kellogs boxes...a charge to enter a special pool..no charge if a male is accompanied by 2 women!! the room (due to us having to be towed 90 miles from LV) and registering at 9:00 pm; was an upgrade. a $237 a night room for $100.00 a night. the shower hot water never reached higher than luke warm. The jet bath was unbelieveable..Great..."

"PRO: Great hotel. Suites are great, Good customer service. free Shuttle to the strip. Good variety of resturants on site. Pool is great (Voodo Beach)
CON: No free shuttle from property to airport. On site fitness center is NOT free. cost $25.00/day for non diamond members. As an alternative able to run around property safely"

"After a long and hard trip to get there, the line to check in at like 11:00 on a Thursday night had well over a hundred people in it. I saw much longer lines at other times when I was passing by the front desk. These lines moved at an absolute snails pace, with people having long conversations with the clerks who were doing nothing to try to move things along.

Other than that, the stay was good and the service was very good. I thought that $13.95 a day for Internet access was an instance of gouging that was rather excessive and that rubbed me the wrong way.

It is a good value in all from an economic overview, but I would never stay here again due to the lines at check-in."

"My fiance and I spent 3 nights at the Rio in July 2011. This was our second stay there. We were greeted by a friendly associate at check-in, who took the time to point out restaurants and parking for us. The housekeeping staff was he friendliest of any hotel we have ever stayed (we travel to Vegas 3-4 times per year). Food at the pool wass good tasting and reasonably priced. Our only low mark was the cleanliness of the pool."

"This was our second trip to Vegas, and our first time booking with bookit. everything was excellent, from the support person I spoke with on the phone, to the hotel. The Rio is an excellent place to stay. the room was huge, with a great view of the pool area, mountains, and part of the strip. I have read that it can be noisy at night, but we didn't have any problems what so ever! My sons were attending the WSOP. We stayed on the 26th floor of the Masquerade tower. The first morning in Vegas I drove to Target and stocked the refrigerator with milk(for cereal), OJ, water, pop, deli meat and yogurt and I also purchased snacks.I did take the shuttles a few times to the strip, with very little wait time. Checking in was also a breeze, (except that the deals that were offered(2 for1 helicopter rides, etc., were not available) and I probably would not have used them anyway! I will definitely stay at the Rio the next time we go to Vegas."

"My wife and I have been to Vegas at least 20 times in the past 14 years. We finally stayed at The Rio about 10 yrs. ago. What more could a person ask for? Since then, we make it a point to stay at this wondertful property on every other trip to Vegas. Great rooms, superb Buffet, good gaming, easy access parking, and always a superb view fof the City. Look for me in late Oct. I will be the one with the big smile on my face!!"
