Right after hotel fires, New Years 2017 weekend. Room was a room not a suite. Found cockroaches in our room. Front desk clerk almost didn't give us a room because we had booked and pre-paid through a third party (Booking.com) and he said that made us a low priority guest. They forgot to clean our room one of our three days we stayed.

Our room was right above the restaurant exhaust and our room smelled like the wood smoke they were using to smoke their meat with the entire time. We called the front desk and they said they couldn't help us. Other than that the room was nice, roomy and convenient. I like the casino, and the buffet.

The Rio is a completely adequate hotel and casino. The property is easy to navigate, It's great that they now have a Hash House a Go Go on the property. The rooms however, being suites, aren't what you'd expect. They're very common, and the bathrooms are pretty Motel 6ish. The worst part of the Rio is what is possibly the worst toilet paper on the face of the earth. The front dest wasn't exactly leaping to help out with the matter either.

Stayed Sun - Tue for husband's convention. Nice large room with king bed in Masquerade Tower 21st floor. Room was clean. Mattress was fine. Shower pressure was fair. Couch was in good shape but chairs at table were due for upholstering. Lots of restaurant choices. Just a short walk to Gold Coast and the Palms. Casino was good at Rio but my luck was best at Gold Coast! Easy free shuttle to Ballys or Harrahs too. Would be open to staying again.

I left my cell phone charging in the room after I checked out and security could not have been more accommodating . that scenario could have been a disaster but security was so very helpful and I got my phone.

Room big, bed comfortable, view great but getting a hot shower was problematic. Need more non-smoking areas in casino. Once the west parking area and garage discovered, going to other places was easy.

This hotel has everything we need, all under one roof! Our room was beyond exceptional and our emotional support dog was welcomed without hassle. We had a great stay and would love to stay here again!

Dont waste your money booking the Luxury suite. The only thing updated in the room was their headboard. The rest of the room was far from luxurious. Looked more like a motel than a Las Vegas Hotel. Furniture was broken down, bathroom needed updating, sink was so corroded that water was barely coming out and bathtub was old and dingy. Hotel staff does not bother to switch you room due to being "sold out" so you're basically out of luck.

The room is nice and big. Love the deep tub good for soaking in a bubble bath. And I liked looking out of the windows that stretched wall to wall. Very quiet. Had shuttles that took you to the strip which saved money on cabs.
