The Rio is really starting to show its age. Lower rooms on the Carnival side will subject you to fairly high noise levels from the nearby highway and train tracks, and also faces the loading dock for the convention area, where deliveries (with back-up beeps) start very early in the morning. All of that being said, you get what you pay for. The rates were very good, but it is likely time for some severe updates.

Low cost and off the strip, That's what you get with the Rio. The staff was AWESOME but the amenities were lacking and dirty. I submitted a review to the hotel itself after a broken mattress and disgusting headboard (grease stains).

As a twice-yearly guest at the RIO, I have never been overly impressed with this hotel - when they renovated the rooms some time ago they were better, but are not being kept-up as time go on. On this recent stay, the hall carpets were frayed and taped-over in places; the bathroom faucets had a hard-water mineral buildup on them, tiles in the bathroom were broken/cracked. It appeared that they replaced lighting fixtures in the halls, but then just spackled the holes and left the raw spackle with... Read more

Years ago the Rio was bright and lively. It had a fun party atmosphere now it seems lonely and depressing. We stopped in the Friday before The big game and it looked like a ghost town in most areas. It needs to bring in new slots and have customers winning and laughing again.

I've been to Vegas many times and this was by far my worst experience. The customer service here was horrible, the room was inadequate and had lights that didn't work, a smoke alarm that kept going off and wasn't very clean. Would not recommend staying here.

Large room, great service, awesome value. Hash House was a great place to try some exciting food options. The staff was always super friendly, the live music in the Masquerade Village was surprisingly good.

"Upgraded" rooms are in no way an upgrade. Buffet is not worth the $$$ charged. We have stayed at several hotels in Vegas and this has by far been the worst (less a free stay at the 4 Queens downtown-which I will never do again). The size of the room is the only plus. DO NOT stay in the Masquerade Tower. The other tower is not too bad. We had to switch our room and finally found a decent one after 2 1/2 hours. This was supposed to be a special trip for my parents. The staff was quite pleasant t... Read more

Hello I just would love to thank you for a wonderful trip. This was one of my first trips to las vegas since I turned 21 and let me say you made me want to return. The Check in process was quick and easy plus the customer service at the registration was fantastic. Loved the great space the room had and the view was just beautiful. The casino was okay though I didn't win as much but I enjoyed the food and drinks. Plus the added bonus of your shuttle to and from the strip was a cherry on top of it... Read more

Room was clean but vanity mirror light did not work. Room service food was sub-par but very pricey. Nice full length windows floor to ceiling with view of the strip, but street noise was quite noisy. Very large Rooms.
